I disagree honestly. I already know my cats would be impossible to find if the house was on fire. Vanessa had to take apart her bed to retrieve the cat the next day. Her room is upstairs where the fire was, it would have been irresponsible to leave her children alone outside and risk getting hurt in the fire for a cat.Resting_Bitch_Face wrote:Did she really?? She also said something in the dryer must’ve gotten really hot and that’s when she heard a loud pop which made her notice a smoky smell. She said there was probably some lint/dust in the back of the dryer that caught fire but her house is relatively new...there shouldn’t be that much accumulated dust/lint on the floors to feed the fire after 1 year but idk..It doesn’t look too bad but I’m sure the smoke was scary. She said the firefighters tore the walls to make sure the fire was completely out.megangold27 wrote: ↑Sun Aug 23, 2020 3:37 pmI think that she probably doesn’t and she was just saving her ass. I can’t imagine that small amounts of leftover lint provided enough kindling to cause a house fire. Faulty wiring and a week or two worth of dryer lint certainly can though.Applesauce wrote:Hmmmmm does she really clean the lint thingy in the dryer? I have my suspicions...

I died when she said she checked the only thing in her house that could catch on fire the oven.
Is she really that naive? Light bulbs can catch on fire....your YL diffuser can catch on fire, your heater, SERIOUSLY so many things in your home. I can’t. I actually can’t.

The only thing she lost in the fire was her dryer.

Yeah I don’t blame her about the cats. She made the right decision. And no pet is coming before my children in a fire or ever really! As far as being a good pet owner... I dont understand why her pets have to eat in the cage. I really doubt she is still doing the raw food. I think she just crates them too much.JSBC0422 wrote: ↑Sun Aug 23, 2020 4:06 pmI disagree honestly. I already know my cats would be impossible to find if the house was on fire. I have a cat too I get it but she still leaves them alone when she leaves to NC because she never takes them. David clearly wasn’t there and she was planning on going to NC leaving the cats alone god forbid something would’ve happened while she was gone.JSBC0422 wrote:I disagree honestly. Re: 2011WaysToPickScabs&AbuseMyAnimals | 2011Teenagemom | Part 53
I don’t think her pets were eating in their locked crates that late at night. She does put them in there so they can eat separately from each other but she also puts them in there to sleep and whenever she has company.
I don’t have any cats so I don’t know how hard they would be to round up but I’m glad she at least went back in for the dogs. I really thought she was going to say she left them locked in their crates.

Did it stand out to anyone else... that when she first posted the fire she said “this evening the house caught fire” and then in her live she said something along the lines of good thing I stay up late bc that’s when she heard the pop and found the smoke. If she had gone to bed earlier this might have been different. (Not verbatim) and the day before she posted about staying up late. 5am *eyeroll*
So in my mind I think she was up late watching Netflix and doing laundry at like 2am. Fire happens. Anyway I just think it’s funny she is portraying it as it happened in the evening because she knows she had a shit schedule all over the place.

On her stories she said the dogs were crateD because they were eating dinner. So she went in to let them outDumbledore wrote: ↑Sun Aug 23, 2020 4:47 pm I don’t think her pets were eating in their locked crates that late at night. Oh yeah, I know that’s what she said but I doubt she gave them their dinner past midnight (unless her schedule is that whacked). I meant she probably put them in their crates to sleep but she thought it would sound better to say she put them in there to eat. She’s a compulsive liar and lies about small details for no reason all the time.Applesauce wrote: ↑Sun Aug 23, 2020 4:56 pmOn her stories she said the dogs were crateD because they were eating dinner. Re: 2011WaysToPickScabs&AbuseMyAnimals | 2011Teenagemom | Part 53
She said she “takes the lint out of the dryer after every time she uses it” which is complete and utter bullshit. I’ve seen a cleaning video of her literally ROLLING the lint out of the lint trap, that’s how much was in there. She also kept taking about herself, I didn’t see her mention how the kids where feeling at all. Apparently the in-laws drove up to take the kids, someone is staying with all the pets and Vanessa gets her precuts alone time in a hotel.Applesauce wrote:Did it stand out to anyone else... that when she first posted the fire she said “this evening the house caught fire” and then in her live she said something along the lines of good thing I stay up late bc that’s when she heard the pop and found the smoke. Yeah I noticed how she completely skipped over how the kids are doing and how they reacted to everything. She said she jolted lily awake without telling her anything so she was probably very confused and she carried Charlie to the car asleep because she could only carry 1 child. I’m sure he woke up while in the car or while he heard Vanessa being on the phone with 911. Then she moved the car to across the street where the kids probably saw the fire truck and firefighters and probably all the neighbors and commotion going on. I get that it might be better for them to be with the grandparents than Vanessa since she’s probably stressed and bawling and not explaining anything to them but there’s no way I would let my kids go to another state without me especially after a traumatic thing like a home fire just happened. And she actually called the pet sitter at 2am to go pick up the animals! I hope it was a friend at least..Resting_Bitch_Face wrote: ↑Sun Aug 23, 2020 5:08 pmShe said she “takes the lint out of the dryer after every time she uses it” which is complete and utter bullshit. Now she has to stay behind in a hotel to take care of everything. What’s there to do until the insurance comes through? Air out the place a couple more days and then start cleaning I guess? Go to a laundromat and wash all the linens? I would be careful of leaving the house unsupervised for long for fear of burglary. Hopefully she has security cameras.

She’s such a selfish twat, even after all that she’s still just thinking about her alone time and getting rest.Dumbledore wrote:Yeah I noticed how she completely skipped over how the kids are doing and how they reacted to everything. Someone in the comments of her latest post said she should start a GFM smfh that’s the last thing she fucking needs right now is another hand out cz I’m sure the in-laws are gonna help her out with the damages.

Weren't the smoke detectors beeping for a while when she first moved in ? She probably just took the batteries out and never replaced them...snottybird wrote:She woke the kids up...does she not have smoke detectors

The in-laws drove up there to get the kids because they know how irresponsible Vanessa is and they want the kids to be safe. They are the same in-laws that hired an au pair last time david was gone. She proves it over and over again, how immature and selfish she is. She bought TWO puppies last year. Extremely immature and selfish.

She definitely has a smoke detector bc you can hear it in the IG story she posted when the firefighters were there. I had a house fire also caused by a dryer several years ago and insurance took care of the cleanup, the hotel and everything.

Yeah the eating dinner in their crates thing is super sketchy.
And BS she cleans the lint/ there was lint in the bottom. I've legit NEVER had the amount of lint she's shown in her vlogs and she got comments about how it's a fire hazard and not a word from her. Maybe now she'll clean it regularly.
Thank goodness it didn't spread/ she got the kids out but like those above have said how scary for those kids to be yanked out of bed, see the firefighters all over their house, see mom shaking and sobbing and then whisked away from her. Better for them probably but yikes. Poor kids were probably so scared and confused
