YIKES!!!! I zoomed in on the picture and those bristles are completely flat and fanned out. That's ridiculous.
My older daughter’s toothbrush looks completely frayed in just a few weeks. While the younger one’s stays intact for months. I have to keep an eye on her brush as she has started brushing by herself now. However, Callie is still little so I am assuming they still help her with brushing her teeth, so this is very appalling as they should have changed it a while back.

What’s surprising is that they didn’t even think of giving her a new one to hold for the picture!!
It’s been crossing my mind lately that they are purposely doing/saying questionable things specifically so people will speak up and it will increase engagement. I feel like OKBaby does the same thing.

I thought Phil got rid of his beard because it irritates Cassie’s skin?? Was that just BS or doesn’t he care?

So Alex has diagnosed the problem. It's been the NG tube the whole time! If only she didn't have the tube, she'd be able to breastfeed and hold down the milk....

She's so delusional.

Annnnd she drank 20 mls (or was is 30?). Big whoop! I wish she’d stop making it seem like she’s drinking a lot and not needing the feeding tube.

Before Cassidy was admitted into the hospital for failure to thrive (she didn't have an NG tube then), how does Alex explain away Cassidy not gaining weight.... oh yeah, that's right, it was her tongue ties. I hope they have stopped feeding her at night through the ng tube while she is laying flat on her back unsupervised. Phil and Alex went on about the tongue ties about how much problems it causes as you get older so she would have to have had it corrected regardless, then went on to say, they just found out they have tongue ties. Neither Phil nor Alex have any issues and probably would have gone their entire life not knowing they did. So it has caused no issue in either of them.

Alex, if you read here which I'm sure you do: YOU PUT THAT FEEDING TUBE BACK IN. You do NOT know more than doctors. Your child could DIE, this isn't about your ego

I'm nervous that she'll take it out because she's blaming the feeding tube for Cassidy's failure to thrive. She makes me so anxious

Phil’s recent insta stories are everything that is wrong with the world. It’s almost like one massive piss take. From the fake crying to the bible quotes to the patronising lecture to the weird prayer. WTF is wrong with this man?

This is the understatement of the year, but Phil doesn’t seem to be doing well. It’s like he’s falling apart in front of us. I have no doubt that it’s immensely stressful and terrifying to have a sick baby like Cassidy, but he’s really all over the place.

I thought the same thing! She now thinks the regurgitation is a gag reflex from the tube. Anything to demonize the feeding tube and justify experimenting with getting it taken out. Even if she was regurgitating milk long before the tube was inserted.

And 20 ml is barely more than half an oz...about 0.68 oz to be exact. She's talking in ml so that it sounds like more than it is. A three-month-old baby should be ingesting 4-6 oz per feeding! If she wants to talk ml, that's at least 118 up to 177 ml per feeding that Cassidy should be getting.

There's clearly a very obvious pattern where Alex follow's doctor's orders for a few days and Cassidy gets enough to eat, she starts to regain her energy and be more alert. So Alex immediately jumps on the opportunity to exclusively feed her by mouth, instead of slowly trying it and maintaining her tube feedings until it's abundantly clear that she doesn't need it anymore. If she's only eating half an oz by mouth at a time, she clearly still needs the tube. She did this after the tie procedure- let her exclusively eat my mouth for TWO days even though she was starving and running out of steam, because Alex was just so convinced that the ties were the culprit. Her critical thinking skills suck.

For someone who claims she's all about trial and error, they're almost three months into this and I don't think they've ever tried exclusively formula feeding to see if she does better.

I’m pretty sure salt and ice causes a chemical reaction that results in a horrible burn.

Alex makes me so ragey. Trial and error is NOT something you approach lightly when dealing with a medically fragile infant. Every error is a setback she'll have to overcome once surgery rolls around. Stop treating her like a damn guinea pig for your science experiments and just feed her FFS.

Me too, I have no idea how she managed to work as a nurse, she is so stupid and ego driven, which is not the ideal combination in that career 😳 I really hope that Cassidy gets admitted pre surgery for her own safety, as her mother is insane and her father is an idiot.

Alex will still be feeding Cassidy post surgery as she is pre surgery. Alex wants to breastfeed and regardless of what anyone tells her, that is always going to be Alex's priority in feeding Cassidy.

Like most professions, a nurse's skill and knowledge will range from excellent to poor. Then you need to add in their attitude. That can range from collaborative and compassionate to argumentative and cold.

Alex is the worst of both types - incompetent, plus a narcissistic know-it-all devoid of any compassion. She's literally the worst type of nurse.

I love these subtle examples that describe their narcissist and no-balls-enabler relationship.

I imagine that Phil is aware from reading here that his super smart wife was wrongly referring to this gadget as a "holster" monitor, yet he's chosen to not refer to it correctly. Instead he's chosen "heart monitor." There is no way he could have written "holter monitor" and not had Alex feel personally attacked. He is not allowed to be right, and he's certainly not allowed to correct her.
