This title is so fitting to Ruby's latest Instagram stories.
She had a small plate with scrambled eggs and 2 different beans for 5 of them. Also, she made a point to mention that SHE had to do it (because the kids are studying?!) That was kinda revealing. She isn't used to taking care of the lunches and dinners.
Julie saying that the food is so good didn't convince anyone

5 of them? That table was set for 8! Imagine only being allowed a single egg and a quarter of a can of beans for dinner. Do you think Ruby stashes food in her bedroom to eat at night like the kids do?Kataja wrote: ↑Mon Aug 24, 2020 10:40 pm This title is so fitting to Ruby's latest Instagram stories.

Ruby hasn't been taking care of anything for a very long time. It is really alarming that she stated she homeschooled Eve for a year, considering that this is the first time it has ever come up, and she films "daily vlogs" from her home.
Re: 8 Passengers: No beds, no food, but mom loves motherhood! | Part 18
Doesn't surprise me at all. In a recent vlog she made breakfast and the teeny tiny portion she served 15-year old Chad was barely enough for a toddler.Kattiness Everdeen wrote: ↑Mon Aug 24, 2020 11:16 pm5 of them? OMG that is even worse I didn't pay attention to how many people the table was set. Her comment about homeschooling and then showing the food, I just thought that she is fixing something when they are studying and Kevin, Shari and Chad are away.Kattiness Everdeen wrote: ↑Mon Aug 24, 2020 11:16 pm5 of them? That is like a side dish/ dip for the bread. I can't believe that was their main meal.

Yet she is so proud of herself for making this mill, and shares it with the world. I imagine everything is cold by the time they settle in to eat too. She fixes eggs a lot for dinner, too much of an effort to make some other kind of protein like chicken, fish or beef. Poor kids are so sheltered to think that's really good meal.Kataja wrote: ↑Tue Aug 25, 2020 1:20 amOMG that is even worse I didn't pay attention to how many people the table was set. Re: 8 Passengers: No beds, no food, but mom loves motherhood! | Part 18
Oh, she mentioned "homeschooling" Eve before. She supposedly homeschooled her for kindergarten if memory serves. But she didn't actually do anything with her. Just used Eve for content and dragged her all over town running errands and losing her pretty much every other day. "Ha ha! Eve ran off again!" With no apparent concern for the fact that she had no idea where her daughter was, or what could be happening to her, and no consequences for Eve for taking off. It's all over the thread, I think before the kids started the private school. I could be wrong on timing.Kattiness Everdeen wrote:5 of them? That table was set for 8! It really irritated me because about the time it was going on, some little girl got abducted from a store, and there was video of her just walking out with some random guy. She was murdered. But Ruby seemed to be convinced that God would protect them. She probably thinks that because nothing happened, she's right, and God was watching out for them, when it was probably just dumb luck that Eve was never hurt.

Why do so many youtubers seem to think that not sending their children to school and keeping them at home is necessarily the same thing as "homeschooling" them? Like, there's this thing called education that has to be a part of the plan...

I literally can't believe she claims to have homeschooled Eve at any point. This must have been when she would let Eve sleep in super late and throw her in the car with a blanket to continue sleeping (why'd she sleep so much??) while Ruby drove around doing other things. Homeschooling a kindergartener isn't supposed to be some kind of rigorous full school day of sit down learning, but you have to do SOMETHING if you're gonna call it that. Like teach her to read, give her some art activities, just the basics for a few hours! If what she did with Eve is what she thinks homeschooling is, these kids are about to fall back years in their education.lmmomSD wrote: ↑Tue Aug 25, 2020 7:13 amOh, she mentioned "homeschooling" Eve before. I'm no medical expert, but I suspect Eve's tiredness/sleepiness was due in part to lack of proper nutrition. It's not uncommon for malnourished children to suffer fatique/tiredness/lack of energy.imoverit wrote: ↑Tue Aug 25, 2020 10:45 amI literally can't believe she claims to have homeschooled Eve at any point. I fear the future consequences Ruby's children are going to suffer because of Ruby's "homeschooling". They say that a child's first teachers are their parents, but Ruby is leading them down the path to failure.

I think she is homeschooling the kids so she can have content to film and she wants to make sure they learn plenty of mormon stuff. I don't know if the kids really wanted to do homeschool but they didn't want get in trouble for speaking their opinions. I know eve just says whatever and im not sure if she means what she says. Horseback riding and swimming lessons is not homeschool but i guess to Eve it is.Josette wrote:I'm no medical expert, but I suspect Eve's tiredness/sleepiness was due in part to lack of proper nutrition. Re: 8 Passengers: No beds, no food, but mom loves motherhood! | Part 18
Of course eve is very easy to manipulate and control because she doesn't know any better. So of course when Ruby talked about all of these fun homeschooling activities eve thought it sounded fun. I am sure eve has no idea what school is supposed to be like. I'm afraid that none of the kids will have a good education by the time they graduate high school and will be forced to live out in the streets and be unable to get into a college because they aren't welcome to live with Ruby once they turn 18. I wish the kids could speak up about how they feel about homeschooling but they don't think Ruby will listen to their concerns and they could possibly get punished for speaking their opinion.emlyx wrote: ↑Tue Aug 25, 2020 4:35 pmAnd to torment Chad whilst she goes on walks and "homeschool" the girls on fun datesboychik0830 wrote:I think she is homeschooling the kids so she can have content to film and she wants to make sure they learn plenty of mormon stuff. I have thought about how there must be something going on, for a young child to seem so tired. I wouldn't be surprised if some sort of sleep apnea was going on, given her large tonsils, and even Shari commenting about how she snored when they shared a room/bed.Josette wrote: ↑Tue Aug 25, 2020 3:01 pmI'm no medical expert, but I suspect Eve's tiredness/sleepiness was due in part to lack of proper nutrition. I could be completely out of the loop and have zero medical experience lol, but didn't Eve get her tonsils removed a while ago with Russell in one of their most popular videos? Also, I doubt she puts her 6 year old to bed at a regular and early time.indigo7 wrote: ↑Wed Aug 26, 2020 5:47 pmI have thought about how there must be something going on, for a young child to seem so tired. Re: 8 Passengers: No beds, no food, but mom loves motherhood! | Part 18
Ruby doesn't put her young children to bed at all, they put themselves to bed. We've seen in past vlogs, many times Ruby has gone on to bed herself, or out for walks and her kids are left to sort out bedtime alone. This is why Eve was wearing the same uniform to school for days after sleeping in it too. Ruby would not see her the night before to know she wore her uniform to bed. I suspect Eve has poor sleep habits, probably lays in bed and plays until she falls asleep, and has no normal bedtime routine.L1g4d wrote: ↑Wed Aug 26, 2020 10:23 pmI could be completely out of the loop and have zero medical experience lol, but didn't Eve get her tonsils removed a while ago with Russell in one of their most popular videos? So Abby and Julie now share a "bed" room, so they can share a "fun desk room." What happened to the "fun attic"? And poor Chad and Shari looked a bit envious at the girls nice new beds and bedframes. Shari has a mattress on the floor with no side table. And Chad, well who knows after the Great Flood. The YAWI fam literally had the exact same flood situation with a window well window the same size as Chad's that burst and really messed up their basement.

Once again the room looks like a guest/hotel room there just doesn’t feel like there is any personality

Shari’s highlights looks so much better when she curls her hair. She does need a trim though, her hair is getting fundamentalist Christian wife long.
