God her room is even worse than I thought it would be. It’s like an old sterile grandmas room. The wallpaper could have been so fun.. I’m sure there was tons of options. Nothing matches like why would she get black holders for the books when nothing else is black? There’s so much inspiration on Pinterest, YouTube like I’m just shocked how she just “threw” it together.. it only means she’s going to change it up in another year because so many better ideas will come flowing through.

Personally I love the bed. It looks super cozy and I think as emma grows older it'll be a fun little spot for her to cuddle up and read books.

Even as an adult I'd get a cute little day bed similar to that for myself, but im married and it would just be weird.

But i think thats the only redeemable quality of emmas room, poor girl.
I remember being a kid and wishing I had a super cool themed room. But my parents were like.... um its a bedroom. You sleep in there. Which I get, its not like they lived in the age of social media and keeping up with aesthetics or posted their kids rooms on instagram for the world to see.

But i can't wait until we move into our forever home and my son will have real interests and have actual things he loves and I can ask him what kind of room do you want??

I think its so important to make a kids room cozy and welcoming and their safe haven. To make it special. Emmas room is so.... bland and meh and just boring.

And i know she's still 2 and what she likes now will likely change as she grows but she loves Ariel. Do an ocean themed room with a gorgeous waves wallpaper, have some nice bright blue accents and decorations. Give her fun Ariel bedding and pillows. Or even horses! Do a horse wallpaper or something fun. Everything is muted and blends with each other.

That is the most bland child's room ever. Kids need color for stimulation. There is nothing in that room. They should have painted the walls a different color if that's the wallpaper they were going to choose.

So I don’t really blame her for the wall color and muted choices, especially because Emma has a play room, her bedroom should be calm and relaxing, not stimulating with a lot to do in the room.
That being said, I still think Rachelle did a terrible job of decorating. It was too many different styles.
Also for the bed, if you want to do a day bed, you do it like this for a toddler, not a full sized bed with a fence around it....

Emma’s room is boring AF. Emma could have had a cute horse comforter is TWO not 22! Justina has a fugly as little mermaid TATOO that EVERYONE on IG thought August was part of Emma’s name. The little Mermaid will not be her favorite movie forever. If trashy had half a brain she should have done a horse themed room. Add some accent horse pillows, a horse blanket etc. trashy THAT’S how you decorate a damn room. Pick a damn theme and go with it.

Trashy taught Emma how to jump on her bed. I guess trashy never learned the “no more monkeys jumping on the bed” song. Trashy was sooooo concerned about baby proofing her room, the dumbass taught her TWO YEAR old to jump on a bed. I can see Emma jumping off her bed and cracking her head on something. Trashy the DUMBEST parent EVER!!

I like the style of bed, it has the security of a crib and it’s low to the ground. At its worst, the bed looks like a flower bed or a farm animal pen, but they could have made that a theme and gone pastel-colored with flowers, or done a horse/farm theme with brighter colors. The all-white is so sterile, and the walls look so bare because the furniture is so low to the floor.

Maybe I’ll regret saying this, but I feel bad for Rachelle. As a mother, I know how badly she wanted to do something special for her daughter, but it really didn’t turn out that great. I know she was just rushing Emma out of the crib to save money for not buying another crib, but it would’ve been cheaper to buy just 2 new cribs and keep Emma’s in hers, that was expensive. I really wish dash would be actually real with us. Tell us how she feels about her baby growing up, and Justin hunted about it changing all of Emma’s nighttime routine, talk to us about that! We want to relate rash, we really do.

Wow, what a terrible job on Emma’s room. I actually don’t mind the muted color thing (even though my kid’s spaces are like a rainbow threw up everywhere...at her request), but the furniture placement is horrendous with everything shoved into the corner. The bed definitely should be on the accent wall, preferably centered, but definitely not shoved in the corner. The bed is lame too. I see the appeal of a floor bed (though only for a few years, your elementary aged kid probably isn’t going to want that), but I thought she would at least do a house bed. And the wallpaper reads a tiny bit blue to me which is why I didn’t mind the muted colors...is it actually gray? I like it less if it’s gray.

Justin's ugly fuckin calf tattoo is lion King, not little mermaid. It's so badly done, too. And hilarious because he got it for Emma saying it was her favourite movie and she was OBSESSED with it, when she was still an actual baby. Who was probably still startling herself awake with her own farts. No way she knew what was up!

And yeah the new room is awful. The wallpaper and paint colour combo is especially bad.. but I'm legit worried Emma (or the boys when they're older) is going to be fucking around jumping on the bed and fall and hit her head on the edge, or god forbid the corner. That kid is clumsy! Rachelle acts so concerned for her safety, then she gets this concussion-trap of a bed??

You know how trampolines have all these safety regulations now? Well kids jump around on beds too, why wouldn't you consider that something to also be concerned about? Maybe I'm overreacting. But also, if Emma has to get up in the night (once she starts potty training) there's no easy way out! She's gotta navigate to the end of the bed and out that little exit, or just hop over the edge I guess. And she'll be half asleep and in a rush.

I tend to agree, it maybe is even a little relatable that Emma’s room looks like something the average person would have done, someone on a budget with not a lot of time. Hopefully they didn’t move the crib right into the twins’ room, I feel that would make the transition more difficult. With having a toddler and twins, we’ve learned that my son is very possessive of things that used to be his. My son stayed in his crib and I bought budget cribs for my twins, both together cost less than my son’s crib. That worked out well for us.

I don’t understand. When a toddler is potty trained, they should still be asking for their mom or dad for help in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom. So even if Emma is in her bed, rash or Justin should go help her and take her to the bathroom. I know maybe they’ll be too lazy to do that, but isn’t that standard for anyone else?
