Imagine being that sick that you think you all have covid and not even given the girls something to help ease their discomfort from body aches or to help bring down their fevers. I get it if the girls just had a mild sniffles but this was full flu-like symptoms and she just allowed the girls to ride it out.

Also, I didn't see this mentioned, but Alex posted pics of the girls at the doctor's office for their check-ups a day or so ago on her Instagram. I hope Callie got her hips checked up on.
I don't understand how this woman was a nurse! Tylenol only treats the symptoms, it would not impact the body's immune response. I guess she just thinks she knows better.

Also, Phil is on some sort of uppers in the latest vlog. He seems manic.

Not only did she refuse them Tylenol, but just a few weeks prior to that she was bitching about the fact that she couldn't find children's tylenol in any of the stores (this was when Covid first hit and shelves were bare). She accused people of being selfish and buying it all when people like her really needed it.
Like, bitch, did it ever occur to you that the people who bought it needed it too? She really does think she's the center of the universe.

It doesn’t seem like they are in a car for this, the angle of the pic, the lighting. Plus what is that beside her? I guess it it could be on the seat beside her. It’s very unsafe to have objects no secured down in a car with child passengers. Even her seatbelt looks so loose! Baby can become a projectile in the case of an accident! Very unsafe!

Good catch! It looks like she’s in a shopping buggy in a store.... not a car at all.

I found it quite pleasant without her nails on the chalkboard voice till the end of the video.

It's a good idea to keep Tylenol on hand anyway, esp. w kids. You'd think Alex would know this. Most first aid kits carry it.I guess they may not even have one of those

I thought Alex did this BS before? Did the girls not learn the colors yet?

Have you guys ever seen Paulthomasmd on YouTube? He’s a “holistic” (read:antivax) pediatrician that has a bunch of day of the life style videos on YouTube. He seems awesome at first and totally normally until you take 2 minutes to dig into his views. He has a whole book about producing an autism free child and one of those things is avoiding Tylenol because he himself has linked it to autism. You can read the first couple pages of it on amazon...it seems to be a very popular book, especially among the psuedo-crunch Alex types. I’d highly suspect Alex is getting her guidance from that and that’s where the anti-Tylenol views come from.

Oh yeah I have heard this actually! It has something to do with the MTHFR gene I believe. I myself have the gene and there’s again - lots of pseudoscience behind it.

The sad part about someone like Alex is they live their life on edge trying to prevent something or trying to stop
Something but then one day both Phil and Alex May wake up and realize that everything they did didn’t magically fix what couldn’t be prevented. I know I’m not making much sense here but if anyone has ever lost a someone close to them either slowly or suddenly or even if you are a parent and received a diagnosis(autism or otherwise) you spend so many years following all the rules, doing everything right...but then bam - something does happen to go against everything you were trying to prevent.

What happens if they do everything in their power to prevent speech issues (lip and tongue tie revisions) and she still has issues? or what happens if Cassidy is on the Spectrum...or god forbid one of the kids gets diagnosed with something. You go down this path of trying to be perfect (breast milk, organic, no Tylenol, holistic) and one day everything changes.

I used to be very much like them until my kids turned upside down in multiple ways (I’ve talked about it on here before)....you simply can’t stop things from happening.

It’s definitely a control thing and I hate to say it but it will all come tumbling down one day. You can’t live on edge like that and it not.

I really agree with this. You never know what's gonna happen, so much of life is out of control. It's an uncomfortable aspect of existence that we all have to face one day. The worst case scenario could happen at any minute, and suddenly your perspective changes forever. You can do all the common sense stuff to keep your kid safe but there's lots of stuff you can't control too. You can't keep them in a bubble, and at some point you gotta decide where to draw the line between over-protection and being more carefree.

If in 5, 10, 20 years your child happens to die, will it matter that you didn't let them have a chocolate bar that time they asked for one? Or let them watch a movie instead of tidy their room? Or let them have pain killers during a flu? I know you can't indulge your kid all the time (not that pain killers are an indulgence) but WHY go to the extreme end of control and restrictions?

Like Jesus Christ, have some hot chocolate with them and stay up an extra 30 minutes past their bed time. Life is so, so goddamn short. The occasional allowance won't hurt. Yes you gotta keep your kid healthy, but mental health is too often overlooked with kids. Having moments of love and fun and freedom within your family is so valuable! You can't be crunchy granola authoritarian 24/7. Kids go through a lot of changes at a young age and it's hard to adjust. Give em a break from time to time.

And it fucking pisses me off when people act like autism is some awful disease you have to prevent at all costs. There's just so many fuckin things wrong with that.

I don’t understand withholding stuff from kids. As a preteen and adult they will binge stuff they have been withheld from.

Candy, soda, chocolate, cookies, ice cream - all fine in moderation. My kids have all in moderation, sometimes it might be days between treats, other days it will be daily depending on the circumstances.

Medication - again fine in moderation when NEEDED. Im not about to withhold paracetamol from my child if they are sick, have a fever or a headache. That’s ludicrous. And neglectful.

My (crazy) SIL wont let her kids have apple juice - any other variety is fine, but apple makes her kids “hyper” - which is an absolute load of crap. One of them has had it at our house with zero ill effects. Some parents just like to make a mountain out of a molehill.

I've got a funny feeling they aren't learning much of anything. I think she's just giving them activities to keep them out of her hair.

Why not mix paint colours together and then actually paint something.... “art class”.

She could set them up outside.

Her whinge fest stories about being stuck inside attached to the feeding pump while phil is outside with the girls all the time. Why does it have to be her with cassidy? Is he completely inept and can’t watch the feeding tube/machine for an hour so she can go “play” with the girls??
But she made it work with an ergo and a backpack for the feed.

She also said the feeds are run over an hour, breastfeeding can take that long, even bottle feeding if your baby is fussy. There’s still plenty of time left in the day to be outside.
Also, whyyyyy does she have to yell when she has Cassidy in the carrier? It freaking infuriates me! Cassidy ears are so close to Alex’s mouth & Alex just yells away and she’s completely unaware and oblivious to her baby. Stupid, stupid woman

Exactly what I thought! She was so desperate to breastfeed, but she’d never have had the patience. I spend so much time with my boob out, trying to still spend time with my older 2 and you just have to do your best. It’s hard but it’s part of having multiple children.
The shouting with Cassidy in the sling upsets me too. She’s so thoughtless.

WTF? Where did the cyst go? What is the mark on her forehead? I’m assuming she did 2 separate photo shoots for the 3 month pictures... but also photoshopped out the cyst. If only it were more central eh, Alex? Then she’d be a true unicorn!!!

Quoting Alex from her 3 month Cassidy update:

"You don’t like to eat by mouth at all anymore but are rocking a new purple NG tube!"

which means she put that poor baby through those 3 tongue tie surgeries for nothing!

Imagine photoshopping imperfections away on your own baby. Shameful.

Agreed. But it’s mostly because of her weight. Her body is so so tiny and scrawny. If she was the weight she was supposed to be for a 3 month old baby she’d look completely different

Phil and Alex: Struggling With Maternity After Laboring For Eternity | Part 10

Unread post by Here_2_talk »

Funny how she doesn’t mention her current weight. Bet she gained very minimal. This baby better start getting on Alex’s schedule and sharpish as her mother is losing interest quickly. Photoshopping her cyst, is just tacky. She’s rewriting history all over again, you know ‘11 weeks boy twin pregnancy’ way.
