wonderwall99 wrote:So everyone here always says emma is way behind and while I'm sure she's not developmentally where she should be for a 2 year old, i wanted to compare her to my 14 month old.
I went to an old video when Emma would've been about 14 months, it was a video where rash went to get some halloween decor for the house and then surprised Emma with things like a plastic jack o lantern, spiderweb and spiders and all that. She is quiet. Barely says anything or has a reaction. My son doesn't stop talking and repeating words and is so comical. Even in the background while rash is talking to the camera you don't hear emma talking or babbling or screaming or anything.
I understand all kids are different and there is no shame if Emma is behind. I think she is a sweet little girl who just has very shit brain parents. They have all the resources to help her, they are both home and have ample time to teach her what she needs and I feel like they just don't.
And I'm still sad at how quickly they had those boys. I get the baby fever. I understand wanting siblings for your first born. My husband and I always say omg let's just have another lets do it... but nah. We have more than enough time to have more kids and im loving spending this time with just my son and soaking in his first few years.
There's so much more to life than 2 under 2 and back to back pregnancies and the newborn stage.
And im not here judging others for choosing this for their families. I am just regarding the Swannies and how when Emma turned 1 they must have already had an idea she wasn't speaking or babbling as much as she should be, especially if rash does have experience in early childhood education, she should've noticed the signs and held off on her transfer with the twins and threw all her time helping her daughter.

Just coming from an IVF standpoint, there are some factors that play into why a decent number of IVF patients do their transfers about a year apart.
For starters, storage fees are not cheap. I hope to have 4 kids. We plan to do all of thd transfers basically a year apart or so. I pay close to $1k a year to store my embryos and that adds up really fast on top of all the other costs associated with IVF.
They also don't know how long embryos are truly good for. The estimate is 10 years or so. Their embryos are already a few years old so if they plan on having more kids after, it makes sense to try sooner rather than later.
Not trying to defend them because I definitely think they need to put more attention on to Emma, but there are some scientific reasons to have IVF pregnancies close-ish together.

No no! I dont take that as you defending them. I appreciate you letting me know that there's a reason for a shorter span between pregnancies. Thank you.
I am sorry for women that have to do IVF and have to think about these things. I wasn't aware and it must suck. And I can understand the financial stress in must cause and even the fear of what if this is the best chance we have and can't have more. I'm sure even with the swannies that is scary and thank you for letting me know its a possibility for them too.
Either way, it still makes me sad that Emma could possibly be way more ahead now than she actually is. And honestly even with the twins they could still be doing so much more work with her but instead they're rushing her ugly toddler room decorating and judt spending time updating their house and going to target when they could be teaching emma.

I agree. They are really failing her as parents by not getting her the help she needs with all the resources that they have available. She's very far behind and the lack of emotion without prompting is concerning.
Hopefully they wait longer than a year this time especially after having twins but I guarantee by 12 months the transfer talks will start again. I totally get the feeling rushed to have more but they can't handle what they have already.
Lmao Justin totally called Rachelle out on the vlog. Talking about the ultrasound for her kidney stones (totally clickbaited it being pregnancy related ) she was saying "apparently I'm just really prone to them [the kidney stones], they said some people just get them. I'm young, I was hydrated my entire pregnancy pregnancy-" NO YOU FUCKIN WERENT! Justin interrupted her and said "it was all the dr pepper!" Hi-lar-ious. He knows lololol. She looked so mad, it's so funny he managed to sneak that into the vlog. She goes "no, it's naaaawt!" Girl.
Also I know we've said this but fuck it annoys me how she just smacks her camera lens to end clips. Staaahp. Those cameras are fuckin expensive! Lenses have lots of delicate little parts. Have some respect for your belongings. There's people that would kill for equipment like that and she just hits it HARD on a daily basis. Probably throws it down when she's done with it too. But at the end of the room "makeover" video she smacked the camera and then was teaching Emma to smack it. What the fuck??? Why WHY would you teach your toddler it's ok to be so rough with expensive shit like that? If she thinks she can hit it what's to stop her from hitting other stuff? Hitting other people's stuff? What if she just grabs it and throws it on the ground lmao. That's just such a bad idea. Rachelle really is the dumbest bitch.

Probably because KKANDBABYJ does it. She wants to be Keren so bad. Funny that you said it will probably teach her to smack other things because Jackson now smacks people all the time.

Why do they edit her like this? She looks so creepy. It's not cute

My 3 year old watches with me once in a while and they just asked “why does Emma look like that?” “Look like what?” “Her face looks not like Emma...”
I still always wonder if any of her family/friends tells her these things! Maybe that’s why we don’t see her sister or sister in law as often.
And yes! I hate when they smack the camera! I 100% think she does it cause of kkandbabyj, also ahahaHa. And they’re always breaking their cameras it seems.

Why?! Just why?!?! I’m not one to say kids are unattractive but why edit it this much and make her lips look soo sad?!?!

I don’t get why she wants her kid to look like a spawn of the devil. Her hair isn’t that color at all in real life and her eyes aren’t that color either. It looks like she put lipstick on her lips but did a half ass job.

I think trash mentioned in the vlog for this photo shoot that the only way Emma would take pictures is if she was bribed with chocolate.
So sad she had to bribe her expressionless child to look at the camera for pictures.
Hey trashy, next time you have a pHoToShOot try gummy fruit snacks instead. Equality as unhealthy but at least it won’t look like she was just eating shit.

I came here to say the same thing! The editing on that picture is so beyond bad! How on earth did she look at the picture and think it looked good? Does Trashy need her eyes checked?

It’s a shame because it looks like emma is finally wearing something cute. How about spending the time you spent on filters fixing her hair, Trashy?

Oh god. Rachelle. Just stop. And to think she calls herself a photographer! Such an important part of being a photographer is your editing skills, and you gotta know when to stop with the fucking editing. There's really nothing worse than over editing a portrait! It looks bad, and it's offensive because you're basically saying this person doesn't look good enough as they are.
BUT I gotta say, it's actually really nice to see Emma finally wearing a flattering colour. It's funny how Rachelle will sometimes get the colours right for her during a photo shoot (like the blue or green) but the rest of the time Emma is wearing some weird orange/beige/brown because Rachelle somehow hasn't grasped the idea of clashing vs complementary colour combinations. Like Emma's old room being terracotta themed. Why does she think ginger haired baby has to mean pairing similar coloured clothes/accessories/bedroom? You don't give a blonde kid beige everything, or a brunette kid brown everything etc etc. That's not how this works lmao.
Rash didn’t buy that dress for Emma, even the green one she wore in other photos wasn’t picked by Emma. It’s all the same photographer, SusanB something and if you look, all her photos are heavily edited. But the photographer was the one who had the dresses for Emma, she said in her Instagram stories during the time of this photoshoot that she brings clothes for the clients. Sorry I have no screenshot.
But when Rachelle did those terrible maternity pictures under a bedsheet outside, that was a different photographer who also had a dress for Emma (even though that dress wasn’t colorful either).
She’s been looking pretty pudgy lately.. guess those family packs of Oreos, Dr Pepper, and frappuccinos are finally catching up to her.
How many times does she have to mention she ~wAlKs~ now like it’s some new thing she invented??? We get it, you’re getting outside and doing something for once in your life.

They have 17 embryos or something - they are most likely paying an annual lump sum for storage, so transferring 2 when you have 15 more in the freezer won't save them one cent.
In general, people who struggle to produce embryos will return quickly for baby #2 bc their fertility is on a decline and time is of the essence to create more. But these two have more than enough embryos to last a couple of lifetimes. They can return when they are 55 years old have them transferred. The freezing and thawing technique 15 years ago wasn't great, but those embryos they have in the liquid nitrogen now will last for decades, if not longer.
They transferred quickly because they saw new babies as their cash cow. Or to keep up with Keren. Or because they are so boring they needed new content.

Yes. They probably pay a lump sum for freezing but it's still not cheap. I have almost as many as she has (12 but mine are PGT-A tested) and still pay about $1000 a year to keep them frozen. The longer they're frozen, the more I'll pay. Rachelle is cheap on some things so she probably hates getting that bill and wants to be done with it.
I go to one of the top fertility clinics in the USA with a state of the art lab and they still recommend 10-15 years. My previous clinics also said the same (I've been to 4 total). Yes the technology has advanced and there has been 1 embryo that was 24 years old used but it still isn't necessarily recommended.
I don’t have a problem with children being close in age... I have a 3.5 year old, a nearly 2 year old and a 4 month old. We like the small age gaps because they are into the same things and play beautifully together. I see advantages for doing it either way and it’s a personal thing and not something I pass comment on.
I pay about $550 for four embryos to remain frozen, we definitely aren’t going to keep them there much longer as we’re done having children. They freeze them in pairs, so I imagine I’m paying per vial. If this is standard practice, I think this is why a lot of parents are pressured to transfer two embryos, they want to knock out the cost of one vial. Also, no one wants to pick and choose just one embryo and possibly lose the other in a refreeze. When you already have kids via embryo transfer, it’s strange when you look at them and realize how easily they may not have been here today. You can lose yourself in the what-ifs. So much if your psyche can be affected, that’s why they recommend a psych evaluation before you even start IVF.
Going back to Emma’s 2-year pic, all I can see now is her eating candy as the picture was being taken, her mouth has a weird, uncanny look. It kind of ruined what could have been a nice pic (I won’t go into the over-editing). It reminds me of my son’s 1-year pics they gave him rice puffs to stop crying, he has this goofy grin from chewing.
