I know somebody asked this earlier, but how did they get Carter into a school so fast? It must be a private school but around here those are all full, and even if they weren’t I feel like it would take longer than 1 business day to have everything set up with the paperwork and whatnot for a new student. Idk maybe not, but at any rate I can’t believe these are the same people who were so afraid of covid they sent only Shrimp Man into the store wearing an N95 and gloves. Now they are sending their kid to kindergarten where they don’t require masks and she’s about to have a newborn. Kindergarteners share germs like nobody’s business. It’s only a matter of time before someone in the school or even his class tests positive, and then what? Will they still send him? Will it get so bad the school will have to go virtual? I would genuinely love for that to happen so they can be right back where they started

To me it sounds not like a private elementary school or whatever, but a private preschool that also includes kindergarten. They said it was a 'small mom and mom shop', and that they'd like to send Ella and Tanner there too if there's room. Where I live, a lot of private preschools go up to K. However, you can't always trust the quality of these schools, you have to look closely into them, especially once your kid is in kindergarten and it's not just about 'play' anymore. I'm surprised she just threw him in the first program she found (that didn't require masks).

AND latest studies are showing that children are carriers, even if they don't show symptoms. I don't see how a kiddo WOULDN'T get it at school, especially if they're around a bunch of other kiddos with no mask. My SIL is a L&D nurse and they have seen some sad things - no way to prove that all of the deaths were directly related to COVID though she and the doctors there believe they have to be given the timing and the number of them.

And no judgment to a single parent who doesn't have a choice. I know there are a lot of people making impossible decisions right now, but this idiot isn't one of them. She has a choice and is choosing to put her entire family at risk because she's a selfish, poor excuse for a mother.

On the bright side - Carter needs to be in school. His parents won't teach him anything (not that they're people you'd want to learn from anyways - shrimp doesn't know the difference between your and you're).. so at least he's going to have a chance.

I agree, if our district had an in person option I would send my kid too. She's not autistic, but she definitely needs a real teacher and to be around other kids. She doesn't take it seriously when I'm trying to go over stuff with her. The only thing I thought they were being lazy about was when they said they were going to hold him back instead of homeschooling though.

Well it's hard doing that kind of stuff when you are "SoO ExHAusTed" from your kids being up during the night.
