ThisGatheredNest | Part 2
Re: ThisGatheredNest | Part 2
The property deed and mortgage are in Christopher and Angela’s names, nothing I could find joined with her parents.
I’m curious if her parents are financially contributing or just doing work + providing horses (maybe paying rent?)
And I wonder how that would work if her sisters moved as well? Not that her younger sister would and I don’t see Ashleigh really either, but I could be wrong
She had mentioned the possibility of additional land but I couldn’t find it.

I just noticed that in her instagram bio she wrote 'Bestselling Author'... Not sure if she's serious or trolling. There is nothing related to adoption, which is a little strange for a mom with so many adopted children.

Lovely home for a family of *adults*, not a baby collector. All of those beautiful low window panes makes me think of fingerprints and one of the more active kids putting a toy through glass. Wonder why it took 2 years to sell - previous owners kept putting in on the market then taking it off. Also, when a parent of a zillion kids comments about enjoying a cup of coffee in peace on the balcony, I think surely she must have nannies.

New drinking game.
Watch TGN video “ we have big plans” and take a shot every time Angie says the word “critters”.
Disclaimer: (DON’T actually so this, you will be hammered by the end of the video. )

It's easy to enjoy coffee in peace when your husband is your nanny and your older girls raise the younger onesoldhagagain wrote: ↑Tue Sep 15, 2020 4:17 pm Lovely home for a family of *adults*, not a baby collector. Her new home is s beautiful! Not my style but has a lot of potential. I don't see babies living there lol it's more like parents + 4 teenagers or pre teens, or parents + kids + in-laws but there are too many decks and windows. I hope she enjoys the house

Re: ThisGatheredNest | Part 2
Their house is...nice.
Make no mistake, far be it for me to make a negative comment about a roughly $600,000 home, lol.
However, I must say it’s very confusing to me that the “living room” (using that term loosely) wasn’t enough to make them pass on the house.
I understand making compromises when you’re not building. I also understand that the land itself was important to them. From their videos, though, it seems the entire family spent ample time in the living room. Now their living room resembles and oddly shaped hallway and isn’t even big enough for their sectional.
Plus, the Swiss Family Robinson Homeschool room just doesn’t seem to nearly large enough to accommodate their family, especially considering she has said she wants it to be a multipurpose room. That’s a loooong way from the entire converted garage they did have.
For the most part, I enjoy watching their family. I genuinely hope they love this home for years to come, but dang this is just weird to watch. It seems like she was in a rush (per usual) and settled for a house, just like she’s in a rush now and settling for “barns” she doesn’t even want just so she can get SOMETHING, ANYTHING quick.
From what she describes, she wants a home with an open concept. Where she can be in the kitchen, kids can be at the island/bar, kids can be at the table, kids and family can be in the living room and everyone can enjoy each other’s company.
This choppy house ain’t it.
I hope the high of newness doesn’t wear off in a year or so.

I don’t want to get deep into religion, but the way she thinks doesn’t make sense to me. So, just because some “critters” suddenly became available now, this is her sign from a higher power that she needs to have them ASAP. Same as she does with children, apparently. I would have hoped they would focus on the home’s interior first, enjoy the holidays, then get into livestock in the spring.
I still don’t believe her parents are going to build there, I think that was a ruse to prevent critics from accusing her of just wanting a bigger, better house (like every influencer). I do think they will move nearby and will house their horses in Angie’s stable. I first assumed they were going to buy acreage with tons of land to develop, but looking at their lot, it’s just a huge lot. Her parents could build on that cleared out field, but is the property even zoned for a second dwelling? I’m not very knowledgeable on this stuff, but a second house would look really strange here.
In looking for information for possibly adding a balcony onto my house, I came across tidbits about balconies adding a home’s square footage . If this is true, now it makes sense why the house seems smaller than 3900 sq ft

She hasn’t mentioned her parents living situation in awhile. Previously she teased there were “A LOT” of developments she’d share “when she could” but really she’s said nothing.Tweedles3 wrote:I don’t want to get deep into religion, but the way she thinks doesn’t make sense to me. Not posting any specifics but the house IS in only the name of Her and Christopher- not her parents.
We have no way of knowing if her parents are “helping out” in any way but public records regarding deeds and financing make it appear as if this is all on Her and Christopher.
That said we all come from different situations and areas but while I consider a $600,000ish home/property to be NICE and clearly somebody for whom life is going well for, I don’t see it as “extravagant”. I’m not looking to debate equity issues or anything, I’m just sharing my perspective.

Re: ThisGatheredNest | Part 2
10 acres is not enough to build a extra house and house the horses they have....I believe at some point she mentioned her parents have 6-8nhorses.
Granted it would be enough land for Angie since she is not an outdoor person...but 10 acres is not “a lot of land’

My best guess is when (as it appears) they didn’t get the extra land attached they had discussed plans adapted. Maybe that was part of “all the crazy developments”.
Who knows. Time will tell. Seems like at least some horses are coming but the critters she’s discussed, 8 horses, 2 houses, her office, etc- seems crowded

Re: ThisGatheredNest | Part 2
Extremely crowded. They also wanna have a place to ride the horses and there is a also a lot of trees on that property that take up space. The entire back yard is landscaped. So that’s at least 2 acres of land they can’t use. This is a pipe dream in my eyesFreecali wrote: ↑Fri Sep 18, 2020 6:01 amI agree.Amsouthernbell wrote:10 acres is not enough to build a extra house and house the horses they have....I believe at some point she mentioned her parents have 6-8nhorses.

We must add in space for that pool they want to add eventually...Amsouthernbell wrote:Extremely crowded. Re: ThisGatheredNest | Part 2
Before they closed I kept looking for the potential house.. They gave a hint when Angie and Ashlie went and looked at the house during the inspection.. There are only so many houses with those inside half shutters. I gotta say for the price they paid they could have gotten more land and a house that fit her needs without sacrificing the living room.

Re: ThisGatheredNest | Part 2
On September 1st, Angela said this on a FB live for her homeschool FB group about her parents :
"They move in the middle of the month. We're kind of doing something a little bit different than we originally planned. You know you make plans and sometimes you have to sort of change them. It's a long story that I'll eventually explain.
They ended up buying a small house 8 minutes down the road from ours.
So they close on that house in the middle of the month. They'll be just down the road from us for the time being. Eventually we'll be building their house on our property.
But for right now, in order to get us all in the same place, that's what we're gonna do.
They got the cutest little historic house that I'm trying to convince them to keep and rent out as an airbnb or whatever. It's so cute."

It’s funny she keeps saying she needs to update everyone on “all the developments” but she can’t get the vlogs to do so.
Given it would be easier to film and edit a quick sit down chat catch up than what she has been doing I’ve guessed they just want to make sure people keep tuning in to get crumbs of details.
It makes sense her parents have a separate house. I actually think she may enjoy that more so they can have her parents take care of the horses/property and be around yet still maintain privacy.
