Do they not know how personal injury suits work or are they vastly different in California? She kept talking about how minor the infraction will be and how the driver won't learn a lesson from it, but they could file a civil suit against the driver for pain and suffering. Granted the driver's insurance would cover it, but still. It'll likely get the driver booted from insurance, be a hassle, and teach them more of a lesson than the traffic violation will. Plus they will be compensated for the damage and their injuries.

If the driver had insurance then the insurance will take care of the claims anyway (medical and their truck). They shouldn't need to even sue. I would think if they wanted to sue that video out there would be a bad idea. Just my opinion

It’s the same in CA. They could file civilly. I’m surprised the guy wasn’t arrested but maybe he got a citation, for at least a misdemeanor (vs an infraction) for reckless driving, and will have to appear in criminal court. But to answer your question they definitely can go the civil route.

Bens girlfriend said $500 $1000 possibly suspended license so it does sound like reckless driving citation (speeding ticket wouldn't be that high, you wouldn't lose your license for just a speeding ticket).

honestly they got lucky as hell. my mom was in a parked card when she was hit bye someone speeding and she suffered a traumatic brain injury and was in a coma for two weeks and had to learn how to rewalk and talk.

that being said that video left a baf taste in my mouth. Jess in the car recording herself while such a scary thing is happening, the dramatic music she put in the background. im so over her

yes my sister was in medically induced coma for two months and had to learn to walk and talk again and has short term memory loss from her TBI for the rest of her life because she was a dumb teen who got in a car with a drunk driver. Jess totally made that video about herself and the stress she felt when her brother and his gf were the ones who now have to live with those fears and memories of the incident.

Once again no consideration put into C&T bedroom. The wardrobe she bought, which is nice enough, has a mirror on one of the doors. That mirror is about 6 inches away from the chest of drawers therefore they’re never going to be able to stand in front of it to check their outfit, or do their hair. If she’d have actually thought about where it was going in the bedroom and looked at the design before buying it she would have realised this and picked something that actually worked in the space available

I went and looked at that Modular Closets website...I guarantee she got at least $5,000 worth of FREE closet organisers (that's assuming she gets free product along with a paycheck for doing a sponsorship). Who the fuck has that kind of cash right now? So many are out of work and unemployment is drying up. I just took on a paper route, since no one is hiring right now and my unemployment ran out. (It's actually not a bad deal...I get a decent check over $1,500 for a few hours work, done by 5am, by myself in my car with music and not dealing with a single person lol)

I wish these influences would realize what's going on in the world and do shit that we could actually relate to.
