Yes, it probably is because of the pandemic. San Diego is opening up because our cases have dropped, but we'll see what happens.
Hopefully their school is doing an online program. I have friends/family members who are teachers, and it really bugs them when people call online classes from the school "homeschooling". Homeschooling is when you pick a curriculum, and teach your kids. Helping them out with Zoom classes that the teacher has put together with a lesson plan, is not "homeschooling". Not saying that it can't be time consuming and work to keep your kids engaged, but it isn't homeschooling.

In Finn's case I highly doubt they have virtual schooling for Pre-K. He doesn't turn five until next month so he won't start kindergarten until next year. Hopefully by then he'll be able to talk better than a 2-year-old. I feel so sorry for him. He needs speech therapy desperately and he has two parents who could care less about it.

Is it just me or does Ollie seem a bit behind with his reading? My five year old only started school a few months ago (normal age to start school where I’m from) and she could read this. Hasn’t Ollie been at school for a good 18 months now? I could well be ignorant about the speed things are taught in the US, mind you.

I was also surprised that Missy was so excited Ollie was reading those sentences, as a 7 year old first grader. Maybe for a 4-5 year old it would've been impressive.

So their Assistant, Dallas, posted a week or so ago that he was out of work. I’m assuming he meant working for the Lannings. This doesn’t really surprise me. Actually lasted longer than expected. Gone are the days of the lavish parties, group dinners out, constant photo shoots, etc. now it’s mostly just them. So that whole group that were friends of the photographer gal are all gone. Typical Lannings
