Phil and Alex: Struggling With Maternity After Laboring For Eternity | Part 10
What is with Alex’s obsession with showing off her milk all the time? She’s done it in vlogs and today her IG stories have a photo of how many bottles of milk she’s produced today. I just find it so bizarre and like it’s a bit of an overshare. You can say you’re producing milk really well without making this weird “milk porn” in your vlogs and social media. But even then, I think it might be a bit rude to moms who are struggling with their production.
I find it about as interesting as if someone were to show cups of pee and say “look at my urine output for the day.” Cool. No one cares, maybe keep that to yourself.

Yeah, it's not some sort of marvel that she's producing all this milk. It's supply and demand, so of course she's going to produce larger quantities the more often she pumps. And it's not like Cassidy is eating it anyway, so of course her stash is accumulating quickly.Veruca_Salt wrote: ↑Sat Sep 19, 2020 1:48 pm What is with Alex’s obsession with showing off her milk all the time? Imagine being so lame that your most interesting quality is lactation.

I hate that I read that in her gravelly voice.

C's hair is so sweaty.I hope Alex is giving her the Lanoxin. Obviously her heart is still working hard, but the digoxin helps
Re: Phil and Alex: Struggling With Maternity After Laboring For Eternity | Part 10
I pity that baby if she still won't nurse after her surgery. Alex already resents the hell out of her because she didn't get her perfect pregnancy or birth and because she hasn't been able to exclusively breastfeed because of her heart. If she still refuses to nurse after the surgery(which I hate to break it to her, is a very strong possibility...) she likely dump her on Phil like she's done the other two. She makes a post every other day about how her being able to nurse after her surgery, she's putting all of her eggs in that basket. She is setting herself up for major disappointment and I honestly wonder if her fragile mental health will be able to handle it if Cassidy never wants to nurse or only does once in awhile even after the surgery.

I bet once Cassidy has recovered from the surgery and is stable, it won’t be long before Alex is back in the stirrups to try for another bio baby who will cooperate with HER needs.

I have no doubt she will be back there as soon as they'll do a transfer....Veruca_Salt wrote: ↑Sun Sep 20, 2020 9:42 pm I bet once Cassidy has recovered from the surgery and is stable, it won’t be long before Alex is back in the stirrups to try for another bio baby who will cooperate with HER needs.

Re: Phil and Alex: Struggling With Maternity After Laboring For Eternity | Part 10
i googles how long after birth can another ivf transfer be done, but is this correct? Will most clinics make you wait 2 years?
Answer: People usually have doubts regarding, “How long after delivery can you start IVF again?” It is best to wait for at least two years between giving birth and getting pregnant again. Too little time gap between two pregnancies might increase premature birth risks, or at times health risks to the mother as well.

From my research 3-6 months after you stop breastfeeding. Or baby needs to be 9 months old - whatever comes first.sondraK wrote:i googles how long after birth can another ivf transfer be done, but is this correct? Will most clinics make you wait 2 years?

So as long as she continues to pump and hold into that dream she wont be getting knocked up.

Ok thx, that makes more sense.I got pregnant again naturally when my first one was 10 months.I never did ivf.Haulnarse wrote: ↑Mon Sep 21, 2020 1:26 amFrom my research 3-6 months after you stop breastfeeding. I know they say it can lower birth weight if you have them too close together, but I've never once known any mom that's happened to.Everyone I know had an even bigger baby the next time around,as did I.
I figured if I was ovulating again, then my body was ready for another pregnancy
Re: Phil and Alex: Struggling With Maternity After Laboring For Eternity | Part 10
I twice got pregnant when my previous baby was 10 months old and was still breastfeeding both times too. You can actually do IVF while breastfeeding, but it probably wouldn’t be advised while breastfeeding a poorly baby. So yes, while she’s still expressing/nursing, they are unlikely to let her do another transfer.sondraK wrote:Ok thx, that makes more sense.I got pregnant again naturally when my first one was 10 months.I never did ivf.Haulnarse wrote: ↑Mon Sep 21, 2020 1:26 amFrom my research 3-6 months after you stop breastfeeding. When you do IVF you try to make your uterus and hormones as ideal as possible to keep a pregnancy. When you already have issues with getting pregnant in the first place and then throw thousands of dollars at each and every transfer attempt, you wouldn’t want to casually hope that it sticks - you will do anything you can to make it stick. That’s why doctors recommend waiting until you’re done with breastfeeding and at least 9 mon/1 year between pregnancies.Elliecat wrote:I twice got pregnant when my previous baby was 10 months old and was still breastfeeding both times too. Oops, better tell my fertility clinic that news then. Oh, too late.Goodgirl wrote:When you do IVF you try to make your uterus and hormones as ideal as possible to keep a pregnancy. Anyway, back to P and A. If Alex wants to breastfeed once Cassidy has had her operation, with support from an IBCLC, there is really no reason she won’t be able to try, since she has kept her supply up.

There’s no reason that she can’t try, but there’s plenty of reasons why it may not work, and that was the gist of the post... god help Cassidy if she doesn’t want to BF because Alex’s agenda is all about AlexElliecat wrote: ↑Mon Sep 21, 2020 5:49 amOops, better tell my fertility clinic that news then. Off topic,I know, but it seems there is something about 10 months and fertility.I've talked to so many other moms who also got pregnant naturally 10 months after their last babyElliecat wrote: ↑Mon Sep 21, 2020 4:00 amI twice got pregnant when my previous baby was 10 months old and was still breastfeeding both times too. wow- so alex's mom gave her formula after failure to Thrive but she won't for cassidy?
Re: Phil and Alex: Struggling With Maternity After Laboring For Eternity | Part 10
OMG SHE IS DOING IT AGAIN. She says, “I know she needs to gain weight but my mommy gut is telling me something”. She is asking if she can just go back on unicorn milk. This child is in a failure to thrive state. The docs should have told her an emphatic HELL NO.

I think I’m probably the only one here who thinks this but I don’t see her going back for another transfer for awhile. I think because there’s no way of knowing if another baby will have a heart defect and she clearly is in way over her head and she knows it.

What the actual fuck. get off your breastmilk high horse and LET THAT BABY GAIN WEIGHT. I am certain she's trying to delay surgery as long as possible. Cassidy doesn't fucking care about her unicorn fairy sprinkle fucking milk. She wants to have the strength to lift her head ffs
