I’m really starting to suspect she has some super creepy breastfeeding fetish. She’s getting off on it!

Answer: People usually have doubts regarding, “How long after delivery can you start IVF again?” It is best to wait for at least two years between giving birth and getting pregnant again. Too little time gap between two pregnancies might increase premature birth risks, or at times health risks to the mother as well.
Each clinic has their own protocols and some even go case by case. I know my kids aren't IVF, but when my oldest was 4 months old we had our first fertility appointment with our fertility Dr for #2. Due to how long it took to get #1 and what we were dealing with the cycle after oldest turned 6 months we started.

Alex has raised two other babies, there's no way she doesn't know that babies Cassie's age are supposed to be rolling, turning, and maybe even on the verge of sitting up and eating solid food. Poor Cassie is the size of a baby much younger than her, looks thin and without colour. This is what Alex is doing to this child so she can continue to breastfeed. It's disgusting

It’s really irritating that you keep calling her Cassie, that’s not her name, and whether you like her name or not isn’t the point. Shorten it to ‘C’ or something

I also call her cassie. I hate the name Cassidy. And BTW, Cassie is short for Cassidy. It’s a snark site and we can use any nicknames we want.

Ok “homestead soapbox rant coming”

This stupid woman did not just say “comfort the chicken when they lay their first egg” she has lost her marbles. I get that her crunchy granola why or thinking will probably have Philip out there praying over the chickens while having an awesome worship session while they lay eggs but this is the most ridiculous thing I have heard.

Oh and by moving the chickens this close to their back door they will have to deal with a lot of flies here shortly.

Their way of looking at “homesteading” is absolutely infuriating. They have 5 acres but don’t think about how they could use their property to the best of its potential.

Ok I am not even gonna comment on her breast milk fetish

She is asking if she can just go back on unicorn milk. This child is in a failure to thrive state. The docs should have told her an emphatic HELL NO.
Imagine if she had done her research and taken the advice of the hospital speech pathologist more seriously than the advice of some random lactation consultant with minimal credentials that was pushing the frenectomy? She's a former NICU nurse. I'm not sure why she wasn't able to do her due diligence, besides the fact that she just clearly lacks any critical thinking skills. She could have taken the advice of the hospital speech pathologist that referred her to the clinic that did a proper feeding evaluation BEFORE moving forward with the frenectomy.

Speech pathologists are much better trained to diagnose these issues than lactation consultants or pediatric dentists. I learned this from a quick good search and reading a couple articles on the huge uptick in frenectomy over the past decade and how they're being over-diagnosed. When groups of patients are referred to speech pathologists after a lactation consultant suspects tongue tie, a small percentage are good candidates for the surgery.

I'm no expert, but after breastfeeding a baby I have to agree with the speech pathologist that the baby's sucking pattern was super disorganized. She was trying, but she couldn't latch consistently and kept coming on and off the bottle nipple. She most likely can't transfer milk efficiently from a nipple. And this is after the tongue, lip, and cheek tie was supposedly "corrected." It's probably an unrelated latch and tongue muscle issue. Experimenting with different bottle nipples might help, but I know things are complicated by her cardiac issue so I'm thinking Alex better just accept that her reality is going to be feeding tube and bottle from here on out. And that's okay! Some babies don't get the hang of breastfeeding.

I noticed that she didn't share much else about the results of the consultation, because I'm assuming they didn't tell her what she wanted to hear. I agree with previous posters that she's putting a lot of stock in being able to breastfeed after her heart surgery, and she's setting herself up for a big disappointment if it doesn't go her way.

As a breastfeeding mom, the deep freezer makes little sense to me? I was told that breastmilk lasts in the freezer about 6 months. I can't imagine how much she is planning on putting in that deep freezer! If she's just doing it to keep her supply up, she'd be better off donating the excess milk as she goes. That would be a nice way to pay it forward after they were the recipients of donated breastmilk. The deep freezer is like a weird shrine to stockpile her milk.

That's exactly what I was thinking! I never saw the narcissism like everyone else but hollyyy smokes this vlog shows it in broad daylight. I think the moment she found out it was Phil causing their infertility, she realized she was above everyone else that she used to bond with about infertility, because it's not HER fault.

This last vlog was obnoxious on soo many levels. It was like 30 minutes of making love to chickens and ranting about breastmilk. Who seriously takes the time to talk for 10 minutes about if they were BF as babies or not?! Wtf?! I've never talked to my mom about this because WHO CARES. My daughter was formula fed because she was a preemie and too lethargic to nurse for long enough, and she's never had more than a sniffle for an hour. Kinsley and Callie are sick all the time so I don't know what Alex was talking about. Plus, a stomach bug was probably from something they ate that their kids didn't. This family got horrendous real quick, Alex shouldn't have put a flashback in the video because it reminded me why I started watching them and why I don't anymore, she's nothing like the old Alex.

Yes I was rolling my eyes HARD at this whole segment. I haven’t had a cold/stomach bug/ flu in two years. The flu in over 20 yrs. and I was formula fed.

Of course she’d probably argue that the formula caused me to get cancer this year. 🙄🙄🙄

For being sooooo educated about BM she knows shit. Why does everything have to be told to her??

I guess miss genius also doesn’t know that it only takes TWO ounces a day of BM to get the same effect as eating/drinking only BM. Soooo Cassie could get formula (One that doesn’t make her sick 🙄). and BM and still have a great immune system.

Sorry to hear that . She probably would honestly or blame something else because it wasn’t “crunchy “.

Thanks for the info! Is there a reason someone would fill a deep freezer with breast milk for up to 12 months? I completely regretted my freezer stash that I was neurotic about building. I thought I was going on a work trip, then Covid happened. Didn't need it and ended up throwing it out eventually. I much prefered to feed baby on demand. I felt like it was better for my supply and I wanted her to get what my body was producing that day. Especially with quarantine, I was just never away from her long enough to need a stash. I'm trying to wrap my head around what one would do with that much extra milk besides donate, unless she's worried that her supply and thinks she can stockpile milk in case? Sounds like she's still in the mindset she was in with her two adoptions when they relied on donor milk.

I was an exclusive pumper. My baby wouldn't really take the breast but I still wanted to give him breast milk for the benefits. I produced way more than the average woman normally does, so I would always have a ton left over. Before long, it was too much to store in my freezer so I had to buy a deep freezer for the garage. It was nice because after about 8 months I couldn't pump anymore but I was still able to feed my baby breast milk from my stash for a couple months even after I stopped!

I do fully believe in the benefits of breastmilk, but formula is an amazing substitute, and most importantly FED IS BEST! A mother should do whatever is best to get milk (or formula) in her baby's tummy.

I thought Alex hated medicinal drugs? But she's okay with having to increase Cassidy's dose of digoxin to offset her increased milk volume caused by replacing fortified formula with an increased volume of less calorie dense breastmilk.

So I guess Alex's hate of western medicine is less than her infatuation with her breastmilk.

But it will be interesting to see if she loves her sleep more than her breastmilk, because I can't see Alex liking to have to actually feed Cassidy for an hour with the gravity-fed drip system. I'm guessing she'll actually devise a way to tie the milk up to a some contraption so she doesn't have to pay any attention to her evil daughter that is rejecting her breast, or she'll go back to fortified formula using the pump. Anything for her sleep!

She really has zero maternal attachment to that baby.
