Phil and Alex: Struggling With Maternity After Laboring For Eternity | Part 10
Re: Phil and Alex: Struggling With Maternity After Laboring For Eternity | Part 10
Forgive my ignorance, as I'm not that education about heart conditions.
Does Cassidy have a shortened life expectancy? Like, if she does well through her surgeries is she expected to survive at least to adulthood?
I know she has the same thing Phil has, so I'm guessing so. But does Phil have a shortened life expectancy? Just wondering. I'm so worried about this baby.

IT FEELS LIKE SHE STILL VIEWS THIS BABY FROM AN INFERTILITY STANDPOINT, WONDERING IF SHE WILL "STICK"

She definitely disconnected from the baby the moment she found out about the CHD. Even the porno-fettish videos of her gyrating her hips stopped.isthisnormal wrote: ↑Fri Sep 25, 2020 3:28 pm IT FEELS LIKE SHE STILL VIEWS THIS BABY FROM AN INFERTILITY STANDPOINT, WONDERING IF SHE WILL "STICK"

But I'm not convinced her change in behaviour is because of a grief and protective barrier she put up. She's a narc. It's always been about her and what she is missing out on. She already had two healthy kids, but it "didn't cure their empty hearts." Her obsession with a bio baby was always about delivering her a perfect pregnancy, birth and breastfeeding opportunity. She was looking for a 12-24 month high, and she would have been right back at the IVF clinic to try for it again. The diagnosis took that away from her, and that's why she resents Cassidy.

I’m wondering why she isn’t on oxygen? Wouldn’t that help?

I'm no cardiologist, and every case is different, but with a successful surgery I'd expect that Cassidy will live a long, full life without restrictions. My oldest was born with a similar defect, and they are incredibly treatable. She'll likely need therapy to help her meet milestones, and she'll probably have to take antibiotics before dental procedures, but I see no reason why she wouldn't lead a normal, healthy life.RiverRose wrote: ↑Fri Sep 25, 2020 3:25 pm Forgive my ignorance, as I'm not that education about heart conditions.

Thank you. That's good to hear. I'm assuming by what you said that your child has done well - I'm glad to hear that.ChickyChickyParmParm wrote: ↑Fri Sep 25, 2020 7:30 pmI'm no cardiologist, and every case is different, but with a successful surgery I'd expect that Cassidy will live a long, full life without restrictions. In the video before the last one, Alex said she herself was getting a full night's sleep. Well, that's okay then. Is she for f*****g real?

Given her situation, sleep is the last thing I’d worry about right now!FlowersTar 68 wrote:In the video before the last one, Alex said she herself was getting a full night's sleep. Well, that's okay then. Is she for f*****g real?

I think her priorities are breastfeeding, whoring out her kids for money and a good nights sleep. *In that order

I was wondering about that as well. Maybe her oxygen sats are fine, but she's working awfully hard. I can't imagine there's not another appt for over a week, I would be beside myself.

Answer: People usually have doubts regarding, “How long after delivery can you start IVF again?” It is best to wait for at least two years between giving birth and getting pregnant again. Too little time gap between two pregnancies might increase premature birth risks, or at times health risks to the mother as well.
So as long as she continues to pump and hold into that dream she wont be getting knocked up.
Most IVF clinics require that a mother not be breastfeeding regardless of the age of the baby/toddler in order to move forward with any type of IVF procedure. Some other YT’ers I watch purposely weaned their 1 year old so they could move forward with IVF round 2. She wanted to continue breastfeeding but had to stop to pursue IVF.

No, over oxygenating someone in heart failure can actually be detrimental.Dani_465 wrote:I’m wondering why she isn’t on oxygen? Wouldn’t that help?
Some of you all are getting a little ridiculous with the medical suggestions and assumptions...To seriously suggest calling the hospital about a baby you see random spurts of on social media?! They would be like what the hell and hang up on you lol. In all likelihood if you were to even get through to anyone of any importance, they’d probably tell the family they have a stalker or something. If CPS were to go see them, the investigation wouldn’t turn up anything proving legitimate neglect. Is Alex taking a ridiculous stance with the feeding? Sure, but ultimately Cassie’s still gaining weight...they wouldn’t be red flagged for her methods.
Cassidy has a huge team of extremely specialized doctors managing her care who are actually privy to a million percent more information than we are through what gets shared on social media. Alex is a nut job but I think it’s crazy to think that she’s out to kill her baby or that a giant team of specialists wouldn’t have admitted her already or put her on oxygen or changed her meds or whatever else you guys have suggested if they didn’t think it was medically necessary.

I used to just think that Alex was crazy and I loved watching every minute of it but now I feel like it’s taken a turn to a dark place. I just cannot wrap my head around picking up a camera and filming YouTube videos about my seriously ill baby as content. With sponsored ads and partnerships nonetheless!!
My daughter was born two months early and I spent a month in the hospital with her. The very last thing I would’ve ever wanted to do is film the it for youtube!
Alex had one job and that was to beef up her baby before surgery. Her breast feeding fetish got in the way of that and I really hope that the baby doesn’t pay the ultimate price for her mothers narcissism!
She displays many Munchhausen by proxy red flags!!

Calm the f down. I asked a damn question. We all know Alex does her own shit her own way. Perhaps you need to calm down since you seem so offended by the literal answer to the question you asked. The majority of my reply was speaking generally to the board. The point in the reply is that all the medical assumptions and suggestions here are getting kind of out of hand and seeming to ignore the fact that Cassidy has a literal team of specialists closely monitoring her condition. Her current condition, while unfortunate and hard to look at, was expected and part of the “normal” course for her heart condition.Dani_465 wrote:Calm the f down. I asked a damn question. Re: Phil and Alex: Struggling With Maternity After Laboring For Eternity | Part 10
Her team of doctors ONLY hear what alex wants them to hear though. She could (and probably is) spouting unicorns and rainbows and/or make everything sound way worse than it is. (The reflux)
Yes cassidy appears to be struggling - however how much of that is due to alex’s neglect?? Cassidy SHOULD be on formula, unicorn boobs be damned - she needs to be gaining weight, consistently gaining weight. Unicorn boob juice isnt doing that, yes she maybe gaining small amounts of weight but is it really enough??
Facts we know:
* Alex continued to attempt breastfeeding when it wasnt working
* Alex avoided offering bottles so that cassidy ended up needing the ng tube
* Cassidy is being tube fed LAYING down which is a huge no no for a “refluxer”.
* Alex didnt fortify the feeds properly
* Alex is setting cassidys night feed up (in summer ) and letting it run by itself with no supervision.
* As above, cassidy pulling the tube out resulting in her almost being drowned in her bed by milk that was being “fed” into her bed/face not her nose.
* Alex spending time altering her own diet to continue to pump vs actually giving cassidy the formula she needs
Im sure there is more, i dont watch the vlogs only IG stories. Having had three refluxers - two who required hospitalisation and intense medications, so much of what she posts i cringe, roll my eyes and/or gasp in shock.
But alex has been narrating this “story” - she needs it to go the way she wants. The doctors and cassidys team (and phil to some extent) have to believe what alex is spewing on any given day.
I do believe this baby needs to be admitted to hospital for a week or two prior to any procedure. Have the staff administer meds and feedings and try and chunk her up. Make it so that alex cant sabotage it.

Cassidy doesn’t weigh much more than a newborn. She’s grossly underweight, and that’s solely because Alex is a fucking idiot. Now she’s going to be at an even greater risk for surgery. Negligence is child abuse. Full stop

Re: Phil and Alex: Struggling With Maternity After Laboring For Eternity | Part 10
It appeared on the monitor her O2 sat was 96%.Too much oxygen can cause brain damage and blindness. So unless it drops, prob. not.I'm not sure what it would have to get down to bf they would give her supplemental oxygen. My guess is the would have to use an oxygen hood,as she already has a feeding tube in her nose,so a nasal cannula would be out of the question. As would a mask, unless she's sedated? She might try to pull it off
Re: Phil and Alex: Struggling With Maternity After Laboring For Eternity | Part 10
I have a hard time believing as unbothered as she's been about her not gaining weight, that she's all that worried about losing her. I mean when she was put back in the hospital she was over a month a old and had gained just few ounces and looked terrible and they waited until she was so weak she couldn't even suck to call the doctor. Also when the decided she needed a feeding tube, Alex was upset not that she was having so many issues gaining and was so week but that she wasn't going to get to exclusively breastfeed any more and that is still her number one priority. I fully believe this who IVF thing was not about having a biological child like I thought before she got pregnant. This was about her getting her perfect beautiful pregnancy and labor and for her to get breastfeed exclusively and get all the pats on the back for it. As soon as they found out about Cassidy's heart and that she was no longer a candidate to give birth at the birth center(which she never would've made it through in the first place....) all natural and that she would go to the NICU and then even worse that there were restrictions on who can be in the NICU, she checked out. Then she didn't even get her perfect natural birth and she was even more checked out and with everything that happens, she is checking out more. I have no doubt as soon as they'll do it, she'll be back for another transfer and another go at getting her perfect experience from pregnancy through breastfeeding. Cassidy didn't give her what she wanted, plain and simple. If she continues to refuse to nurse after her surgery, I wouldn't be surprised to see her turn all of her care over to Phil, like she did the first two eventually.PinkMoscato wrote: ↑Fri Sep 25, 2020 7:18 am Honestly I wonder if part of Alex’s failure to bond with Cassidy is because she’s so sick- and because Alex doesn’t want to be too close to her in case she dies.
It almost seems intentional that she isn’t cuddling or snuggling or spending time with her baby, like she doesn’t want to get too close.
Obviously that’s not normal behavior regardless, but she’s so removed from this baby... it doesn’t make sense to me otherwise.
