Maybe they can make friends with the adjoining neighbors. Noticed they have a pool.

Re: ThisGatheredNest | Part 2
She's funny in her q&a when she talks about people who found her address. Yes Angie we obsessed and lost sleep over that. Personally it took me about two minutes to find it. I just think her view of this is wrong. She says she's not a celebrity... Ofc she isn't but at the same time she exposes so much of her life online, we know more about her than any 'celebrity'. I don't care where beyonce lives, she's zero relatable. If she thinks people who are curious about where she lives are pathetic, what does she think of people who comment on all her videos, get excited for her kids' birthdays, her closet declutter etc. I understand she won't come out and say her address or even town for that matter but I'm just confused why it took this for her to just say what state her house is in. She calls her viewers her friends, well I'd tell my friends which state I'm moving to...

I never know who she is talking to when she rants about people divulging details. Are there fans commenting on her IG with her address details? Is it the few dozen of us in this forum? There’s no comments on most of her videos, so no one is leaving information there. There’s no crime in finding a house someone bought. Did my posting that she lives in Aiken, SC cut into her profit margin somehow? Get over yourself, lady. If anyone cared enough about me, they could find my house on Zillow, plus a few dozen pictures that were never removed by our realtor. I’m not going to drive 1000 miles to see her house in person, I wouldn’t drive 10 miles out of my way. Take your beef up with your realtor, who is the one who should’ve disabled the photo gallery after you closed on the house. Don’t bitch at the fans that support you.Espeon wrote:She's funny in her q&a when she talks about people who found her address. Yes Angie we obsessed and lost sleep over that. After her latest rant video, it mysteriously fed right into an old vlog of theirs, from August 2018 when they stayed in the cabin, it might have been in TN. Granted, we weren’t in a pandemic then and they were in the midst of a few kickass, summer getaways. But they were so much happier and fun then they are now. She used sound effects and clever editing. I know she’s been steering the ship away from the kids and focusing on her own things, but outside of the house buying series, I’m not into any of their content. I don’t care about her make-up hauls, there’s nothing I like less. Does she buy anything for her kids? I know she barely shows them besides golden child Benji. The impression I get of the twins is they are wild children that don’t wear clothes and don’t speak. The older girls seem done with being on YT, the middle three seem to have it the best and just get to be kids, and pop in and out of frame as they want to.

Yes!! To the person who commented that it is weird or creepy to Angie when someone seeks st her home (most likely for photos/info not to stalk) but OK when people comment, swipe up, make IGs for your kods etc.... i would be MUCH more concerned about the people obsessed with me and my family then people who disliked me. She and every other youtuber feeds into the obsessions of the fans and haters are just left to come here where they just comment. So... who is more likely to drive by your home? The one who has delusions of being your friend, knowing your children and bonding with you over all the detailed clothing, makeup etc tips you have shared or someone who dislikes you and snarks about your lip injections online?
Re: ThisGatheredNest | Part 2
It makes her sound very naive, and she’s one of the more intelligent people I subscribe to. Today with the younger generations, Youtube personalities are celebrities, or public figures at the very least. The minute you share your legal name and your general location, your privacy is gone. She has to accept it, it’s the price you pay. And I wouldn’t worry about the vocal fans and critics, it’s the silent ones you have to think about. But if vocal fans are getting too close, stop baiting them with fake “friendship”, or making them feel like they are part of your family. I’m sure there are a lot of lonely people that live vicariously through her family. She could have avoided all this by just not saying anything. We know she didn’t want any clap-back because she disabled comments on that video.

I agree, it seems as if the thought the move would be a privacy reset. The only place I’ve seen details of her move (other than South Carolina) posted is here. That said I don’t obsessively read all her comments so I very well may have missed something.
I think once the YouTube crackdown on family channels started we all noticed her focus to her personal channel and more lifestyle type “family” content even on the This Gathered Nest Channel where she made sure to point out it wasn’t always “kid friendly” and she began showing less of {most} the kids.
many of the people she’s partnered with in the past (such as do it on a dime) and the ladies she’s working with now (Simple Homeschool and Farmhouse on Boone) are all more subject focused and less family forward.
Maybe she was hoping to move more in that direction with her “mini farm” content although I personally am not convinced that’s marketing to the same audience that got her to where she is.
Even when mentioning the question of kids rooms she gave a VERY long answer that never answered anything. I don’t know if it’s kids privacy, avoiding judgment, or her wanting to feel like she herself is holding back a bit. There has definitely been a transparency change since the move was announced.
I’m hopeful she does what is best for her family, but also keeps in mind her target audience & what content helped them grow to where they are. I’m not sure if this is a hiccup or a forward change but I’m curious to see how it impacts her following.

I agree so much with what you said. Their content has changed quite a bit, and it’s not what I originally followed her for. I’m glad she’s protecting her kids, but I miss the kid’s clothing hauls and other things. I don’t think her heart is into that kind of content anymore, or like you stated Freecali, she feels she’s exposing her kids by sharing what clothes they are wearing, or what room each is staying in. Homeschooling seems to be her focus. But it’s still a limited view, whenever she talks about homeschooling, it’s just her sitting alone in front of a camera. I don’t recall seeing the kids actually on camera, working on anything, for at least a year. IFreecali wrote:I agree, it seems as if the thought the move would be a privacy reset. Not a lot of people have their income and financial freedom to move right now, and renovate/update.Freecali wrote:I agree, it seems as if the thought the move would be a privacy reset. Edit: I also was able to find their house from a tip here regarding the price, it was well after they had already moved. So when it comes to Angie ranting about stuff like this, maybe she reads here. Unless fans are emailing her directly, demanding to know where she moved to, or with concerns over Benji’s bow legs. But I doubt that’s what it is.

Re: ThisGatheredNest | Part 2
She changed the direction of her channel because of the (new) youtube rules. In the last year they adopted a baby, moved to a new house, published a book etc. while homeschooling. I don't know if she even has time to be a mother anymore and we all know the older girls pretty much raised the twins. You guys should go watch some old vlogs of when they only had 4 kids... It was fun, relatable, natural. Now everything feels scripted, she hardly ever films without 2 ponds of makeup in her face. I think there was little interest from her viewers regarding Benji. If you look at both her channels she seems to be wondering where to go with her content. Makeup/clothes, homeschooling, book club stuff, farm, family, adoption, cooking. I'm starting to lose interest.
As for the bedroom situation, idk why she is keeping it a secret. We all know Noah and Jonah are together and Rosie is with the twins.

So her sister. I just watched her newest video about her daughter’s 11th birthday... Omg so the beginning she is trying to open her gifts and her siblings are almost literally on top of her grabbing the horse from her hands wanting it. Why on earth did she not tell her kids to back up and give her space and let her open her gifts. I had anxiety watching it!

Re: ThisGatheredNest | Part 2
The kids' idea of "birthday dinner" is going through the Burger King drive thru. Based on her budgeting videos, they have 9 people surviving on Peter's roughly $55-60K salary, including commission. Ashleigh mentioned in a recent video that the kids are all on Medicaid, and that's why they had to put fostering on hold (you cannot be a foster parent if you are on government assistance). She, like her sister, seems to have little issue splurging on herself, but I highly doubt the kids receive many gifts.devilishtenshi wrote:So her sister. Apparently the new blog is “Animal Planet- Braniff Edition”
I’m happy for them if this is what they want but I’ll be over it soon.
I liked her hauls, and more relatable content. She has a new Berkey Water filter, some new outdoor furniture, things that could have been fun to learn about.
Instead I watch he’s her give a life shot for what she claimed to be the first time which shows how far off timeline edits are since we’ve seen the other pig get a shot and her say she’d done one “days ago” LAST WEEK.
New content is not as real time relatable and very much filtered and way after the fact in addition to not being *my* interest
I’m not her target audience clearly but I wonder if she’s going for a new audience?
Glad they are happy- it’s just like a flip of a switch new lifestyle and family.

Yeah, I was surprised at how little land it has. One thing that gets on my nerves is how she has to point out that one of her twins can’t keep her clothes on. She has to mention it every single time. I wonder why?? If she is so protective I wouldn’t even mention it

Is it just me or does Kennedy seem super over the vlogs? could just be the age she's at but I find it kind of funny that she always acts indifferent and annoyed in front of the camera lol
Re: ThisGatheredNest | Part 2
I feel like a show I used to enjoy was cancelled and replaced with Animal Planet
Also, she used to say/admit in the blog when it was a new day. Now the editing is all over the place. They go out for lunch and to the vet/shopping but she enters lunch in one outfit and leaves the vet in another talking like it’s all one day but doesn’t seem so
It’s like the authenticity is gone which was one thing I really enjoyed about the family
