I agree with you. Hopefully they start having more dislikes than likes on their videos. Shortly after their incident in May their likes have been higher than their dislikes which I don't understand. I guess people though they have changed and that people were being misinformed but that isn't true at all.

The ignorance and stupidity in today's vlog is just killing me. Ruby says, "Should we just all drink from a communal cup and all get it?" What the hell?! This virus is not a joke! There are people who have and will die from it. Yet, you just want to invite your kids to drink from the same cup and force covid on them? If Kevin was already feeling sick and getting tested, he should have started quarantining from his family from that point onward. Why would he keep being around the entire family when he is waiting for test results? Same with Shari. She's like, "Oh, my entire volleyball team is going to get it and they're going to know it was me." Why the hell was she still going to volleyball practice when her dad is exhibiting symptoms and both her and her dad are getting tested? It really sounds to me like they weren't quarantining at all while waiting for their test results. Shari literally just waited until she got the positive test back to be like, "Oh, I should tell my volleyball team before school starts in an hour that I probably gave them all covid." There was no reason for all of the kids to get sick, too. Kevin was the first to get it and he is an adult and more than capable of being careful, staying in one room of the house, and not getting any of the kids infected. It's not like it was Eve who got it first or something where you really can't tell a 7 year old to quarantine or be sanitary. But Kevin is a grown ass man, what excuse does he have to not even try to keep his family safe? Kevin and Ruby should literally go to jail. With their, "Oh, well we, in our narrow minded stupidity and ignorance, believe that it is just a virus and everyone is going to get it no matter what. So we're not going to quarantine or try to protect our kids at all and we will all just drink from the same cup and deliberately cough in our kids faces so that they definitely get this potentially deadly disease and we'll just cross our fingers that they won't die."

My family did this all the time when I was growing up (Except my grandma because she didn't like milk). A piece of chocolate cake with an ice cold glass of milk is delicious, but unfortunately I became lactose intolerant in my mid-teens so I switched to hot tea instead. Not quite as satisfying, though.

You should not be going to homecoming or go shopping for homecoming if your family members have covid. You need to be staying home and isolating for at least two weeks.
I know I was confused by her logic in that statement. Even after she has quarantined for 2 weeks she can’t go out if family members she’s around everyday have tested positive less than 2 weeks ago. Whoever was the last to test positive should’ve been the indicator. Once that person had quarantined for 2 weeks and no one else had more symptoms then the whole family can go in public.

"You can't control if you get covid from your dad"

Um.. yes you can?? Or you can at least *try* to prevent the entire family from getting it. They have plenty of space for family members to quarantine and stay away from everyone else if they get sick. One of my family members tested positive and literally hasn't left his bedroom because he doesn't want to spread it to his kids and wife (his wife is even sleeping on the couch right now). And guess what? None of them have gotten it (knock on wood)! Yes, it sucks to be isolated from your family, but it IS possible to keep it contained to one person if you're careful. This family drives me crazy.

The Franke family needs to understand the difference between quarantine and isolation. When Kevin and Shari tested positive, the two of them should have gone into "isolation," isolating themselves from the rest of the family. This may have prevented the rest of the family from being infected (however slim those chances would have been considering they do not display the best hygiene under normal circumstances). Also, when Kevin and Shari were known to be positive, the rest of the family would have gone in to "quarantine," knowing they may have been exposed, they are to stay away from others. These idiots have treated them as the same. Yes, there is a way to prevent others in the family from getting it, isolate them from the rest of the family. Heck, don't they have a full kitchen set up in the basement? Shari and Kevin could have isolated there, and add anybody else that ends up positive. Though, Ruby and Kevin can't be inconvenienced doing parental things, so no way they are going to inconvenience themselves by having to live differently for 10 days, just too much thinking and doing to figure out what should be done.

Imagine if Eve would have been the one to remain negative and all others were isolated in the basement. Wouldn't be too different for her since she puts herself to bed, makes her own food, and is responsible for her own emotions, entertainment and interest in school. Kidding aside, these nit wit parents with all Ruby's super mom abilities and Kevin's super "scientist" expertise, have no clue how to handle an isolation vs. quarantine, or they just don't care. I believe the latter is the reason.

Now, since they have all have had COVID, hell, they'll probably be planning their next vacation to Europe in the coming weeks.

They are fucking idiots. If you're exposed to the virus and you isolate for two weeks BY YOURSELF, then test negative, you can go out. If you are exposed and then isolate WITH SOMEONE WHO HAS THE VIRUS, you are CONSTANTLY BEING EXPOSED every moment you are with them. You aren't free to leave if you get it and then feel better because you're now being exposed AGAIN to the other family member who now has it. That means even if you are 'better' you can still SPREAD IT because you are constantly surrounded by it the majority of the day!!!

They probably hug Ruby, who has tested positive and is showing symptoms, and then go shopping, touching doors and baskets and clothing and items with all of their germs from having it and constantly being exposed to it. Are they actually that fucking dumb thinking they are magically immune? Is the state of Utah not keeping track of this? They've likely spread it to everyone they know.

How can they put this on the internet? (AND MAKE A PROFIT OFF OF IT!) In my state that would be a $5,000 dollar fine or a year jail time for every member of the family that left isolation during the two weeks ANY member of the household you've had contact with tested positive. That's an initial 2 weeks and then an extra two weeks for EVERYONE as soon as another member tests positive. This is reckless endangerment they've likely played a part in many people's deaths.

it blows my mind that this family thinks they're actually intelligent. There are so many rooms in that house to quarantine in. You can wear a mask inside your own house too, it's not against the law. I guess it's easier to get attention for being stupid on the internet than smart. I worry for Eve and Russel, sure they'll get it soon enough. illness always hits young children hard, i'm really surprised Ruby doesn't seem to care. They must not realize this is deadly.

The "communal cup" remark made me want to backhand Ruby across the room and I'm not ordinarily a violent person. She's treating this as though they should have a chickenpox-style party, but the BIG difference is that chickenpox won't make most people sick enough to be hospitalized, nor will it end up with the possibility of you being put on a freakin' ventilator!

Of all her vlogs so far this has to be the one that has made me most furious, and don't even get me started on Shari's idiocy (Being immune, homecoming, etc.).

Oh, and Ruby...STOP TOUCHING YOUR NOSE AND EYES, yah idiot!

There are SO MANY things that they could have done to try and minimise their risk such as wearing masks and social distancing, but as we've seen time and time again, they simply don't care. But I would at least think that if someone in your family tested positive, they would immediately isolate from the rest of the family. But no, we see Kevin in the kitchen, surrounded by family and in the music room, with Eve and Russell right next to him. Then Shari tests positive, and Ruby is right next to her filming. It's just so infuriating how little they care. I understand from the lack of masks that they really don't care about others, but I would think that they would at least try and protect their children from getting it. And to think that Ruby actually mentioned having them all drink from a cup so they could all just get it and be done with it. Joke or not, they have a large platform with a relatively young audience, and all they're doing is being a negative influence and downplaying the pandemic.
I've just never been so frustrated with a family before for being so careless. I'm from Melbourne, Australia, where we recently went through a pretty bad second wave where we saw cases reach 700+ daily and have had over 800 deaths. Since then, from 3rd August, we have had one of the strictest lockdowns in the world. I haven't worked in over two months, we haven't been allowed to travel more than 5km from our houses, haven't been able to see family and friends, masks are mandatory and until recently we've had a curfew from 8pm-5am. People who have family in regional Victoria can't even travel within their own state to see them, as we have a "ring of steel" around Melbourne, so people can't travel into regional Victoria, or they face a $5000 fine. This may seem excessive to some, but it has worked. We've gone from 2353 active cases to 289 active cases in a month. Instead of 700+ daily cases, we now have a 14 day rolling average of 11 cases per day. We do this not just for ourselves, but for those around us, and it makes me so made knowing that all us Melbournians are experiencing one of the toughest lockdowns in the world, while there are people like the Franke's who simply do not case and will continue to spread it. Although their carelessness may not directly affect those of us in Australia, it still means that more people are suffering and dying in the world, and it also means it will take longer for the world as a whole to recover. Please people, wear a mask and do the right thing.
All. Of. This! ImageImage I live in regional Victoria (one of the bigger cities in regional vic) so our lockdown hasn’t been quite as strict but the progress we as a state have made with our lockdown is showing that it works and it’s crazy to me when I look at what’s going on in America right now with the number of cases. I mean look at what’s going on with Donald trump having COVID, the press conference thing at the White House, all of those people sitting shoulder to shoulder, no masks. Everyone meeting up in a room in the Whitehouse, no social distancing, no masks, shaking hands and hugging. So many people associated with trump have been testing positive, who knows how many people those people have infected. The way this virus spreads is crazy and the lack of care with some people is mind blowing. Especially from those with so much power and influence.

Kevin and Shari should have been isolating from the rest of the family. And the whole family should have quarantined at home for 2 weeks just to be safe in case they had been infected before Kevin was tested. They could have all just done their 2 weeks quarantine and been done with it. And wear a freaking mask! It’s so simple. It’s the law here in Victoria to wear a mask outside of the house, if my 7 year old can understand why we have to wear masks I don’t understand why adults can’t seem to understand it.

And what they already even considering is that the kids on the volleyball team could give it to a family member who has underlying conditions and dies, or is just one of those random people who don't have co-morbidities and dies.
But the Griffiths don't tend to care about anyone outside their family, and they don't seem to really care about the people they supposedly do care about.
I wonder how they would feel if they gave it to Grandpa Griff or St. Jennifer the Perfect, and they died? Would it make them less giddy about it?

It is jail time where I live you don’t isolate when you tested positive.
Also it’s not been proven that if you get covid you are immune to it. I have a friend who tested positive twice AND didn’t develop any antibodies. She went to donate plasma and they told her she didn’t have antibodies. That means she can get it AGAIN!
Also it was not like the flu for her, she developed pneumonia the second time. Yes, the second time was worse than the first.

So the Frankes can get it again. Re infection is a thing. You are not necessarily immune after you got covid.

This is the current YouTube policy regarding uploading Covid-19 vlogs. I think initially they were not allowing vlogs about Covid-19, but changed. Bonnie's mask care vlog wasn't accurate information. YouTube, to me, has always been about the money.

Yep. The only reason they demonetized Bonnie and the others before was because companies threatened to pull advertising. Then when the companies were satisfied, everything went back to normal. They put forth new "guidelines" but don't enforce them. They never updated the ways to report videos. So even though the video of Olivia's first shaving lesson violates their guidelines, it falls short of child abuse or pornography. So it's hard to report it.
You said it perfectly. YouTube is all about the money.

Some people don’t develop immunities to viruses. My Godfather had chicken pox four times. Don’t know why some people are like that. Just a flaw in their system. I never had chicken pox though my four siblings did. I am getting over Covid. If my husband hadn’t gone in for testing, because he likes to make sure we don’t have it no symptoms, we would never had known we had it. I had muscle aches no fever. My doctor said my arthritis triggered muscle spasms. I was fatigue, but because I was so achy I was only getting a couple hours of sleep. Getting tested again today. No one in the family has it. Just my husband and me. We wear masks. So we have no clue how or where we got it.

And Covid-19 is weird anyway. There have been people re-infected. It seems that you have immunity for a while, and it might go away. Which makes "herd immunity" difficult to achieve.

So now Ruby is posting Instagram stories of them eating some kind of nasty mystery food that she made. I have no idea what it was - looked like maybe some kind of pasta? Anyways, Chad said it was pretty gross and they were commenting that she put powdered butter in it or something weird. The general consensus was that none of them had any clue what they were eating and Ruby proudly states, "I would never feed this to a guest at my house." Then why are you feeding it to your kids??? I also just don't understand why they're eating some disgusting concoction for dinner. The text caption said, "Experimenting with emergency cooking." If you want to 'experiment' with food and produce something that is hardly edible, then test the food out yourself, don't feed it to your kids for their dinner. Geez.
