Code: Select all
I couldn't care less about these two grifters. I do care about these innocent kids in the YouTube world who don't have a choice.
As far as Alex posting a breakfast that she would never allow K & C to eat, just further proves what a shit mother she is. She just recently told poor Kinsley "No" when she asked for a cookie for being good. Not an entire bag of cookies, not three, but ONE. It's cruel. "The girls" deserve so much better than what these two screwed up parents give them...which isn't much. They get the bare minimum, not many extras. Not even a damn cookie. I sure hope K & C didn't see that picture. Imagine how that would make them feel.
I won't make any excuses or feel bad for these two assholes. And, who gives a rats ass about Alex's poor feelings? That's the problem, people care too much about her, which only feeds her narcissistic supply and huge ego.

I noticed that. It just proves how much she likes these pictures of herself looking sad for clicks. Was her sharing the exact 'poor Alex looking sad' pictures really necessary? For Alex it was!

Alex- "Does this angle look okay, Phil?"
Phil- "Scoot in a little closer so that everyone can see how Cassidy is under sedation..."
Alex- "Does this pose make me look like the most amazing mom ever?"
Phil- "Absolutely! This will be great for views. You look beautiful. Like the most beautiful and loving mother in the world."

She made it a whole 24 hours before showing Cassidy’s bare chest/wound on Instagram. I bet she was bursting at the seams to do that. Can not stand this bitch

Re: Phil and Alex: Boob Juice Infatuation & Heart Defect Exploitation! | Part 11
I don't really see how their posts are contradictory? And their language was relatively vague. They're also probably exhausted so aren't gonna be 100% onto it.
It just looks like they got to her bedside, had a moment to see her up close and take some photos (I'm sure there were still medical staff doing stuff/coming and going) then they began getting her ready for the procedure and let Alex sit there for a few more moments (when Phil took another photo) before they got them both to leave the room altogether. Phil's sentence "as soon as we got there they asked us to leave" is definitely not very specific. That could mean anything from seconds to minutes, easily. If you're wanting all day for your daughter to be done with surgery and then you only get a few minutes with her before having to leave again (when you probably just expected to be free to sit with her as long as you wanted) I can see how that'd feel like having to leave again as soon as you got there.
And even though we've seen like three photos from this time doesn't mean a lot of time passed. All of that could have and probably happened really fast.
I think you're just looking for problems where there are none. There's plenty of stuff to criticize Phil and Alex for, this ain't it in my opinion.
Btw your profile picture is visible in that second screenshot.

Language used is kinda important though. Alex said they were opening Cassidy up in the ICU, she said it was emergency bedside surgery. Was it emergency open heart surgery or a procedure to place a tube? There’s a big freaking difference!!spicy_dreams wrote: ↑Wed Oct 21, 2020 9:58 pmI don't really see how their posts are contradictory? And their language was relatively vague. My daughter also was losing too much blood after surgery, which in turn caused cardiac arrest. They cleared every parent out of the entire ICU, reopened her chest, and resuscitated her directly to her heart for a full hour.
Their heads and hearts are going to be all over the place in this situation & of course I get that, but I freaking hate that with Alex you have to dissect which portion of the information is the actual truth

I agree with you but that's not what I'm talking about lol. I thought Dani was suggesting they were being inconsistent with the ORDER of events they were describing. Not what the actual events were but the order that they happened in and how the photos fit into it. If that's not what Dani was talking about then sorry for the misunderstanding! In the middle wrote: ↑Wed Oct 21, 2020 10:23 pmLanguage used is kinda important though. I do agree that language is important when taking about what's happened, and Alex was definitely being dramatic if they were placing a drain rather than opening her back up. That's not what I meant by "their language was vague" (I'm not even excusing that I'm simply stating a fact..) I just meant there's *room for interpretation* especially when it comes to what Phil said. If there's room for interpretation then you can't really pin them down for their timelines not lining up 100% perfectly. That's like accusing me of lying if I say "I'll be there soon" and I arrive in 5 minutes rather than 2.

Re: Phil and Alex: Boob Juice Infatuation & Heart Defect Exploitation! | Part 11
I'd be so mortified to be taking photos of myself, my spouse, and/or my infant daughter after she just got out of such a serious surgery. I can't imagine saying "oh how did it go, doctor? Can we get a photo of her real quick?" Obviously that's not what they do, but I can only imagine what the staff there is thinking. I'd be embarrassed. I don't even care that this is their job or their life. I will admit lacking perspective, as I've never been in a situation like this. I also am not one to enjoy taking photos of myself or in front of others anyway. But what the actual hell. I cannot fathom even knowing where my phone is in a time like that. I cannot fathom walking in to greet my sedated, fragile infant and wanting to take a photo of her exposed and vulnerable and upload it for thousands of STRANGERS to see. Why. It makes zero sense. It just makes me upset to see.
Re: Phil and Alex: Boob Juice Infatuation & Heart Defect Exploitation! | Part 11
I take back what I said before. You are right. The fact is that they managed to pose for a picture when she’d come out of surgery but then chose to wait to post it because they got a juicier one of Alex looking shocked that suddenly they had to do more. It’s all screaming out for clicks and I feel sick that they are using her like this.TopazBlues wrote:I'd be so mortified to be taking photos of myself, my spouse, and/or my infant daughter after she just got out of such a serious surgery. Re: Phil and Alex: Boob Juice Infatuation & Heart Defect Exploitation! | Part 11
Well finally someone gets it! I don’t care if they were there 2 mins or 10 mins. Alex is POSING for pictures. And considering Cassie needed a chest tube, her stats were dropping. They posted a pic of Alex saying Cassie needed EMERGENCY SURGERY to open her chest up right “AS SOON as we got there.” Then the post a picture of Alex next to Cassie right after they got there and right before this emergency “surgery”. Hell for all we know the drs put two chest tubes in during surgery. And they made this all up for views and likes.Elliecat wrote: ↑Thu Oct 22, 2020 5:26 amI take back what I said before. Yes it’s inconsistent and it’s not like they haven’t been dishonest before.
Re: Phil and Alex: Boob Juice Infatuation & Heart Defect Exploitation! | Part 11
I guess I’ll play devils advocate here. I don’t necessarily see anything wrong with her taking and posting pictures. When my son got his heart surgery we took videos and photographed a lot in those two months we were in Children’s, and shared a lot of those on my Instagram for friends and family so they can keep updated. It was easier to do that instead of texting and calling everyone. I don’t think that makes me a narc and doing so definitely didn’t take time away from my son. I’m glad I have those photos and videos to see how far we’ve come now. Also for those of you saying, even before the surgery that “they shouldn’t be exposing her chest” I’m a bit more concerned that you’re sexualizing a baby.
Re: Phil and Alex: Boob Juice Infatuation & Heart Defect Exploitation! | Part 11
I don’t care about the pictures. At least not right now.
It seems that under the circumstances, Cassidy is doing pretty well! I’m so, so glad.

Re: Phil and Alex: Boob Juice Infatuation & Heart Defect Exploitation! | Part 11
I follow a family of a child who only has half a heart. Yes taking and posting pictures on social media to update families is common. What isn't common is all the posing P&A are doing that is all about Alex. It's all for clicks and the almighty $$$$$$$ for them. Once again back to the family I follow, yes there are strangers that are invested in that little girl, and mom posts a lot on the public facebook page about the ups and downs, I've yet to see a fully posed picture of mom faking crying with little girl. Fuck, I've never seen just a picture of mom in any of the life threatening things that came up, unless it's mom cuddled up with little girl and the picture isn't posed. As well as these pictures seem to be all for drama. The post op posed picture looks like they had to have been in the room for a couple minutes. They also seemed to get quite a few up close pictures of her lines, hands, feet, etc in this time. Yet, the first post op post out is about how there was an emergency bedside surgery, for dramatics, with one of the close ups of lines. Then a bit later we get Phil posting the defeated Alex sitting in the chair with worry. Talking about the emergency bedside surgery and Alex needed to sit down. Now 24hours later we get the posed Alex, smiling over Cass, post op before the bedside surgery.... It was all posted out of order for dramatics. They are building this up for the video so everyone will want to watch it. More clicks on the video brings more $$$$$$ to them from AdSence and sponsors.Lexx123 wrote: ↑Thu Oct 22, 2020 8:31 am I guess I’ll play devils advocate here. Watch P&A's vlogs. 99.99% of the time Cass is in the bouncer (that a viewer bought), high chair, or just flopped on the floor. You rarely see any pictures of an adult holding her. She's by herself. Like the "Home school video" where they had to slip in "Day in the life of medically fragile child" they are up stairs and Alex just tosses a blanket on the floor and puts Cass on it. The only interaction when Cass is just flopped about is C&K. You never see P or A just talking to her while holding her lovingly.
No one was sexualizing Cass' chest. It was more the fact of what was written and how it was all about Alex. As well as we all know Alex seems to have a disconnect with Cass and her not being perfect. Now she'll have a zipper scar down her chest to remind Alex how not perfect Cass is. As well as it was just an odd post that was posted on social media. I get having a picture like that for yourself, but not for thousands of strangers.

Also, since some people like to forget this: there's a difference between sexualizing Cassidy's chest and acknowledging that pictures of this nature can and will be sexualized by creeps out there. It's your job as a parent to do your level best to protect your kid from those creeps. Save the pictures of her partially naked for the family photo album instead of posting them online where who knows who is going to see, save, and share them with gross intentions.

They are staged well though, the pics. Getting the right angles to show all the tubes and wires, all the infusion pumps, iv stands, and just enough of a glimpse of cassidy to make it personal. In the middle wrote:She’s doing so well thank goodness! I wonder if they did a skillshare photography course in preparation for this they seem to be hitting all the right angles.

Her color looks good for having been on bypass.I think most adult bypass cardiac pts are still somewhat blue/ash colored after surg?
