Of course the caption says 'I needed... so Phils with Cassidy'. What about Phil needing to see his daughter too?

In the open heart surgery vlog there are snippets where it's the most genuine I've seen her in a long while. She says that she will have to throw away the milk she pumped that morning but she just doesnt care. Shes got loads in the freezer and is too focused on Cassidy. Well done Alex for finally prioritising something other than your unicorn milk

The IG countdown to the surgery vlog and the "Open heart surgery vlog is LIVE!" really bothers me. Why are they hyping this up (aside from the obvious that they see the $$$). This is not a long awaited birth vlog. I can't stand these people but I was following along on the day of the surgery hoping for the best for them all. I don't want to watch this. We know things were really stressful and scary for a while, and at this point to me it's way beyond the entertainment of watching another person's life. I don't want to watch their crisis moments, even knowing the outcome was okay. I can't imagine being them only a week later being excited to watch and edit that footage either.

I'm rambling, but it really bothers me that there would be any excitement around the video of Cassidy's surgery day, unless it went perfectly and was focused on "Cassidy's heart is better now". It's sick how focused they are on the money. I usually try to give all of these vloggers the benefit of the doubt but this is so blatant to me.

How long before she goes back to obsessing about breastfeeding though? Baby needed the "easiest" calories possible for her in the lead up to surgery and Alex was not willing at all to do that. I'm guessing that the same is going to happen soon - the obsession with breast milk and trying to force her to breast feed.

Yeah, the fact that it took her daughter being in open heart surgery for her to act like a relatively normal person, demonstrates how little perspective and empathy she really has at a baseline level.

Such stark differences in Alex’s posts and Phil’s. Cassie looks good in these photos. Healthy, happy, eyes aren’t red etc. not stuck in her hospital bed while Alex complains that she can’t take a bath.

Honestly, I think the thought behind a "prayer walk" as Phil calls it, is pretty sweet. A parent once approached me after my son's surgery and said, "Your son and mine have the same scars and I just want you to know I'll be praying for you." That was encouraging to me for so many reasons, and 15 years later I still remember it.
But I can also promise you that this mother didn't immediately turn around and broadcast to the world what an amazing act of selflessness she'd just done. She didn't humblebrag about her heart for others and let everyone know she'd taken precious time out of her day to pray for a complete stranger. That's where P&A lose me. Every act of kindness is immediately posted about on social media, complete with pictures, just so the world knows what amazing people they are.

I was surprised too! I’m glad she did tho! Alex is back with Cassie... to be fair, maybe it’s only in the morning her eyes are red.

She seems to rarely allow him to parent usually? (so when he does he seems to be a bit loud and rough at times).

No mention of Halloween from either of them. Please tell me they did something fun for Kinsley and Callie. It wouldn't take much to top last year, when they mooched ill-fitting costumes off friends so the girls could trick-or-treat.

Boo hoo. Poor Alex. She feels bummed because between two adults, they are going to have to do 2 days of work in single week instead of 1 day of work like they normally do.

I'm kinda shocked they let the girls Trick or Treat. They seem to be form the church mind that you must do a "Harvest/Fall Festival/Carnival" instead of Halloween.

I'm so glad that Cassidy is home but get a really weird feeling from Alex's instagram post announcing it.

I'm glad that she's not flaunting the scar, but the way that she's covering it looks unnatural and awkward, which draws more attention to it. By randomly placing a sweater over her chest and by so blatantly having her hand on that specific area, it's like she's trying to cover up the "ugly" scar. Why not just have her in a normal outfit that covers the scar? I get the feeling that she's not accepting of this new mark on her daughter (which isn't surprising). Poor Cassidy, I hope that she learns about healthy body acceptance when she gets older.

Oh, and let the BF games begin...
