The woman doesn't make any money for the family, she just spends it while every single other member of the family earns it for her.

Did anyone else think it was strange when Shari kept going on and on about being 'ripped' and she was so excited that she couldn't fit into a shirt that she got one or two years ago? Lol, I guess I just don't hear many teenage girls using the term 'ripped'. When I was her age I worked out a lot and liked being 'toned' or 'fit'. I never talked or bragged about being 'ripped'. It's just worrying that the oldest daughter and both parents seem so obsessed with body image. Ruby wants to be tiny and petite and starves her kids so they can be, too. Kevin takes 1,000 supplements every days and spends hours at the gym instead of with his kids. Shari lives on chicken and protein shakes, weightlifts all the day, and is obsessed with being ripped. The sad thing is all of them go to such extremes. They can't just be satisfied with staying in shape, instead they have to be 'ripped' and be bodybuilders, starving themselves, and working out too much. Also, I don't want to steal Shari's thunder, but I kind of feel like maybe that shirt was just too small for Shari to begin with, lol.

I also wonder what's up with Chad lately. He's always in the background or being filmed from afar or we just hear his voice behind the camera. Maybe their lawyer advised them to keep him out of the vlogs? Or maybe he's refusing to be in the vlogs? I thought it was strange that everyone was running around and yelling about Christmas and he was just sitting there on his laptop and not taking part much. I hope he's ok. I suppose we're never going to get an update on if his room is fixed or if he's still sleeping on the beanbag.

It’s so sad. All those kids are going to or already do have body issues because their mother insists on perfection. Ruby is always commenting on their bodies and making weird remarks about food on camera I wonder what it’s like off camera.

One of my sisters has always struggled with eating disorders. If it wasn't starving herself and counting calories, it was protein shakes and weightlifting. Just because one of those seems "healthy" doesn't mean that behavior is healthy at all. Shari clearly fixates on body image, weight, body fat percentage or whatever it was, etc. and her parents are never going to recognize that this can be problematic and try to help her or even keep an eye on it. Certainly not bodybuilder absentee Dad. And as the eldest sibling and grandchild she is setting an example for a lot of little people, let alone her youtube audience. It just scares me honestly.

Holy shit they have lost their minds. And now I'm losing mine. How much would a machine like that have cost them??? This is literally a status symbol. That is what it is. A mormon status symbol, just like having a hundred kids, now it's how extreme can your emergency prep be. And you gotta show it off or it doesn't count. I have to say, it is scary that a lot of the viewer comments on these recent YT criticism videos are harsher than anything we have said in here recently. I think this family of absolute imbeciles has ground me down so relentlessly with their enthusiastic ignorance and sociopathic narcism that I have been broken. I just don't have it in me anymore to be surprised or outraged that they released a vlog celebrating contracting and spreading a deadly virus. Watching it back on those links, it is no wonder those kids cut Typhoid Mary out of all the Homecoming activities - she can't even scale back the entitled bitchiness when it comes to how others might feel that she chose to infect them. It was just a Tuesday in the Griffiths threads......

Seeing the outside perspective from YT comments in a good reminder that they really are terrible people, and we are not just "jealous old biddies". Bonnie is completely unraveling on her channel and the forum is debating whether she just wants a bigger closet, or her mother is dying. That speaks volumes about their character (and psychological stability). All the stories in the comments of people watching their loved ones die as they are taken off vents is heartbreaking. If only Ruby read something besides self-help books, cared about others, or was intelligent enough to understand the world around her. The one thing that did seem to get through to Ruby's emotions was when viewers made fun of her dancing at Zumba. So enjoy everyone....

I can't stand how much Kevin and Ruby sabotage Chad. They PRETEND to be trying to get him his driver's license to save face with their viewers and then make sure that he has no way of actually succeeding. They wait until the last minute to even get him his permit and I'm willing to bet that the two times they've showed him driving in the vlog are probably the only two times he's been taken out driving. When Ruby let him get behind the wheel for the first time, she let made him drive right into traffic without getting a feel for driving first. Now Kevin just takes him out on the highway for the first time with the camera and dog distracting him, in the rain, and without getting any instructions or help from Kevin. So awful. That poor kid is going to have so much anxiety driving when his parents take him out somewhere a beginner should not be driving, don't teach him or instruct him, and find every way to distract and stress him out while driving.

Also, in Shari's video did anyone else catch when Shari was making fun of Ruby's freeze drying? She said that she didn't like Ruby freeze drying because she was taking all the kids' leftovers and freeze drying them so they couldn't eat it. Then, Chad chimed in and said they weren't allowed to eat the freeze dried foods either. What??? What the hell is Ruby doing with her pans upon pans of freeze dried grapes, marshmallows, strawberries, and everything else? Is it literally just for her and Kevin? Is it some part of her weird hoarding in preparation for the apocalypse? I thought they were making it to eat, but now the kids are say they're not allowed to. Why should a child ever not be allowed to eat something in their own home? That's just downright freaky. Sounds like Ruby is going on some kind of manic raids through the kitchen, freeze drying any food she can get her hands on, and refusing to let the kids eat it. Her method of starvation, maybe?
