My guess is that he started questioning their religion.
Is something that denotes intelligence, especially at such a young age.
It is right to ask questions and try to understand if a certain religion is suitable for us.
But I think this is one of the biggest offenses for Ruby and her family.

From an earlier post or comment I saw, Chad had friends at school that were not LDS. Through hanging out with them they talked about life/family activities and began to ask himself “why can’t we do that?” Doing this he began to question his religion in the slightest way. Kevin and Ruby saw this as the worst possible thing someone can do and sent him away. This is one of the reasons why the kids have few to no friends and minimal outside influences.
I have a little experience with this growing up. When I was about Russel’s age and my sister was about Eve’s age, we played with some neighbor kids two houses down that were Mormon. We are not. After the mother found out about us, they were barred from playing we us. Their mother even called my sister evil. I didn’t understand it at the time.

So none of this was about getting revenge on him for not going back to the private school or was that a excuse that they made up.

The private school was strictly Mormon, so refusing to go back could be viewed by R&K as refusing Mormonism. He went right back to public school with all those evil non-Mormons who will end up in outer darkness. It makes sense, but I am curious where these posts about non-Mormon friends came from?

Seriously? She has to know what she is implying right? If she is talking about her world view being altered by Chad preferring his meatballs without jam, she is an idiot. She was really pissed about the meatballs too, it's obvious she isn't open to learning about her children's "preferences" no matter how mundane or life altering. His meatballs will be jammed until he escapes at 18....literally and figuratively.

I doubt it, but hopefully Ruby got permission to feature another orthodontist patient in her vlog. If not, that's a major invasion of privacy, especially since the other patient appears to be a minor.

In the most recent vlog, did Ruby really have to point the camera in Abby's face and say, "Abby, do you think you're in your awkward stage right now?" She just won't leave that poor girl alone. Almost everyone has had acne or braces at some point in their lives. You don't have to bring attention to it in every single vlog. I want to ask Ruby if she's in her awkward stage right now or if that's just always how she looks.

Also, is Kevin on steroids, lol? Feel like he gained a lot of muscle in a short amount of time. His biceps look a lot bigger than I remember and just strange in comparison to his bloated stomach. Also, I know it's wrong to hypothesize on the status of someone's marriage, but am I the only one wondering who he's trying to impress? I, mean, Ruby doesn't seem into fitness or working out at all. It's also usually a sign of a man having an affair - when he suddenly gets super focused on getting in shape. Then again, he is obsessed with himself so maybe he just does it all to be able to stare at himself in the mirror all day. It just seems strange to me.

Lastly, in Shari's vlog they went to wake Chad up and he was the in basement and came out from one of the rooms. Did they fix his room? Or are they just having him sleep in the flooded, moldy room? Or is he back to sharing with Russell? I really couldn't tell from the vlog, but I think it was his room because I didn't see a door to the room he came out of.

Glad I wasn't the only one annoyed by what Ruby was doing to Abby. I was also wondering what's up with Kevin too. I know he takes huge amounts of supplements, but has he added some steriods to the mix, or not because those biceps just look unnatural and weird.

I hope Chad has at least a clean dry mattress to sleep on and isn't back to sacking out on a bean bag, plus obviously hope that his room is mold free because that stuff isn't good for your health. Not that Ruby and Kevin care one wit about Chad's health and well-being to begin with.

He's pretty much the household scapegoat, which is truly sad because compared to Shari he's much more mature and IMHO a much nicer person than her. I wouldn't be at all surprised if his parents tried to place at least part of the blame on the bedroom flooding. Started to say "His" bedroom, but then remembered that all rooms belong to Ruby and Ruby alone which is why Abby and Julie got no say in being made to room together nor are they allowed to decorate, and one of one of those bedrooms was made into a school room. There's plenty of space in that household so that wasn't at all necessary, but as we all know Ruby is a narcissistic bully and it's her way or the highway. Abby and Julie have to say they like "their" bedroom, clothing, etc., or there will be consequences. They know what happened to Chad and know their parents wouldn't hesitate to do the same to them if they rebelled.

When Abby tries to explain the use of the mitochondria and how it powers the whole cell with MTP (uhh? its actually ATP -> adenosine triphosphate) obviously she's still learning and is allowed to make mistakes, what concerns me is that Ruby (the incompetent high school graduate turned teacher) did not correct her. Isn't that the job of a teacher to correct her students when they make mistakes in their learning?? Ruby clearly has no idea what the parts of the cell are or what they do for that matter. Thank God Abbey's learning is mostly(?) done through her private school classes.

I do not mean this in a mean way, but the whole family is honestly so socially awkward that it's almost unbearable to watch. I mean, I guess that's what happens when they are sheltered in their little mormon bubble but still. They are especially bad, a lot worse than other mormon vloggers. Even Kevin and Ruby don't understand basic social cues. I would say Eve is by far the most socially aware and confident, which is really saying something. I am surprised that Shari is able to make any friends at all. She is so focused on exceeding in school and desperately trying to get the approval of her parents that she seems blinded to the fact that she is being obnoxious and no one wants to be friends with someone so arrogant about their self proclaimed intelligence. They really don't understand how to effectively interact with the world around them.

Part of that is because they are discouraged from making friends. Jennifer told her kids that they didn't need friends-- just their siblings. And they seem to be continuing the tradition with cousins added.
I think it's odd that they don't seem to socialize with their cousins at all. They call getting together with their siblings (that they see frequently anyway) a "family reunion". Dunno about y'all but my family reunions are aunts and uncles and cousins and second cousins.
They purposely isolate themselves. I don't think it's a Mormon thing, because the Mormons I knew in high school were very social.

They've never said exactly what awful sin he committed to be sent away at 14. Kevin didn't even know how old he was. He said Chad was 15, and also said that he should have been making choices like an adult, which is pretty much impossible because his brain wasn't (and still isn't) developed in a way to make adult decisions. They said they didn't say why he went because they were "protecting his privacy", which is pretty ironic considering how they make most of their money. I don't believe they are trying to protect Chad at all. Considering the flak they caught for sending him away in the first place, I think they were protecting themselves. Just like they did over the Chick-fil-A video.
Ruby said it was a "reflex like pulling your child out of traffic". They had a doctor do his physical after hours to get him into Anasazi.
Maybe I'm weird, but it seems to me that you don't decide to not only send your child away, but send him somewhere like Anasazi on an impulse, or reflex, or anything like that.
And she wants to be a life coach and write a parenting book. It would be more like what _not_ to do.

I know someone who got it twice, tested and infected, with symptoms. It's a myth to be immune for life.

By the way, what the hell is up with those parents? I just discovered them through a few scandal videos about their son and daughter ("you have to throw up twice") and was surprised to find such a large following for them. Imo they're doing everything wrong that you can do wrong. Looking at their pictures, videos and cheesy quotes on Instagram, they're the picture perfect family, because Mommy is angry, if they're not. They're the kind of family that have tons of happy pictures, that are accompanied by the-then grown up- children talking about sadness, unhappiness and abuse.

I feel like they're one of the worst, even for a Mommy-vlogger perspective (a low bar).

At least they are finally doing the right thing and listening to the governors order and staying home and not doing a field trip. Why couldn't they have done that before. I also found it funny that they are having a coin jar for good behavior during school which is super ironic as she said that she isn't responsible for their education. They should not have to be bribed to do things. I they want to pretend that Chad can drive but in reality they don't want him to and are making it as hard as possible for him to do that.

I guess it can happen BUT did she lose her bank card , let someone know how much money she had. Or did it REALLY happen.
