I’m sure if YT ends Ben could get another management job at a Chik Fil A and he also said he’d like to become a fire fighter.

Sorry for a double post, but I just want to say that I really like this family. I think they are cute and unproblematic. Do they do things and make choices I don’t agree with? Of course. But ppl are allowed to have different opinions and lifestyles. So much of what I see on this page is nitpicking and hate that seems stemmed in jealousy. I know that statement is going to ruffle some feathers, but I feel like today’s society has become the land of the butthurt and sensitive ppl have an issue with eeeeeverything people do. Katy and Ben are good parents that I have never seen put their kids in danger (like Maddie, Sophie, yasmyn, and so on). They are just annoying sometimes. I think ppl forget that they are real people too. Ok rant over. Sorry if I hurt anyone’s feelings, I’m just getting frustrated with internet people.
Well for starters she over exaggerates things regarding her kids for click bait.

That falls under the category of “she’s annoying sometimes”. Sis has to make her money somehow.

THANK YOU! They definitely sometimes do annoying things, and I don't agree with some of their opinions (especially politically), but I think they're one of the best youtube parents out there. Ella and Avrey are adorable, always look clean and well taken care of and they get lots of love and affection. If you compare Ella to many of the other yt babies of around her age, she talks much better than most of them + looks very healthy. Also, Katie and Ben seem reasonably intelligent and sophisticated, in contrary to many of the teen moms (cough *Maddie* cough). They don't make any outrages purchases, don't party and leave their kids alone, etc. Of course they want to buy a nice house instead of renting, I'd want my kids to grow up in a nice place as well. If things don't end up working financially, they can always sell the house and buy a smaller place. If anything, buying a house is much smarter to do than renting when being dependent on youtube and could turn out to be a great investment.
Katie talked earlier about inviting other yt moms she has never met to avreys 1st bday party... umm hello world wide pandemic going on! Other than that of course I have always thought it was so weird when these girls invite other yt moms from out of state. Crazy to expect them to drop tons of money and time just to see friends for a birthday party or baby shower party?? Maybe I’m the weird one here but I just feel like most people could not or would not do that.... especially for people who aren't like bffl
Anyone see Katie’s Instagram live last night where they were taking tequila shots and Katie slurred the “r” word. She got a ton of comments and apologized but then proceeded to say it multiple times again. She got off live shortly after. Does anyone have this saved?

Missed this but apparently people were commenting on her latest instagram about it and she deleted it. Last comment says, "deleting comments? Grow up and apologize"
Katie's reason for spending over $1k on a rented airbnb to host Avrey's birthday party summed up: she wanted it to look like a winter wonderland, but her cabinets and look to her kitchen is "too dark". So she needed a place with more white in it for the aesthetic. I'm not even gonna comment on this....
She ended up getting a refund but still
Lol to the person that said they don't make outrageous purchases. Renting an airbnb for a one year olds birthday because she needed different colored cabinets is an outrageous purchase.
And also, partying doesn't make you a bad parent as long as you don't do it all the time. Parents need nights out.
You guys are literally doing the most. I read the last 3 messages before I watched her last video and I was thinking "Wow she really spent all this money for different cabinet colors? That's too much money for an aesthetic choice. I can't defend this." Guys. She spent this much money to host her guest that were coming from out of state. She literally said that she picked this airbnb for the aesthetic cabinets and then her guest would stay there for 2 nights. Not for the party only. This cabinet color choice is taken so out of context. This is how rumors start. You even got me for a second.
She did say that about the cabinets and aesthetic though? I didn't pull it out of thin air. And its the middle of a pandemic on top of it. I understand she wanted to give her daughter a nice birthday but to host people that were planning on traveling and spending that much money to have it at in the middle of a pandemic isn't... the brightest idea.

No, the house guest staying at the Airbnb was the Plan B; the original intention was to pay $1000 for a space to host a party, and when they canceled the party due to COVID, they decided the guests could stay at the Airbnb so at least some good could come from the money they spent. Then the Airbnb lady told them she hadn't cleaned the house so no one could use it, and Katie got her money refunded and the guests stayed with her and Ben.
Katie is a self-admitted spender and her plan for this party was an exorbitant, unnecessary expense. I'm glad she got her money back because splashing out so much cash for a one-year old's birthday party is not the most prudent move.

4 minutes 12 seconds in, direct quote: "I got an Airbnb like I said and it was very expensive. We were going to have like our guests from out of town like stay there all together." Honestly tho, you guys don't listen. "All together" meaning all the the guests that needed somewhere to stay. 4 minutes 48 seconds in "...cus it was over a thousand dollars that I spent for 2 night there at the airbnb." Why would she pay for TWO nights and say her guests were going to stay there "All together" if she only bought the airbnb for the aesthetic cabinets?

Watch from 3:26. She got the airbnb for the party aesthetic. Its just convenient that people can stay there. But thats not why she got the place.

She chose that particular Airbnb for its aesthetic, but she needed one anyway for the guests to stay. So I guess she needed an Airbnb for her guests and wanted to find one that fit her aesthetic as well. If it was just for the party she wouldn't have booked 2 nights and she wouldn't have cancelled it when none of her guests could come due to covid.

Oh, my bad. You're totally right. She rented the airbnb for 2 entire nights for a party that will last a couple of hours. Thank you for referring to a clip earlier in the video before she explains anything. I must have missed that when I quoted her at 4 minutes. I'm not one to do back and forth arguing on the internet, but it's like you are ignoring all the logic, and her explanation of paying to host her guests from out of state, in order to find something to be upset over.
