Hello everyone! Another new member, longtime lurker here. I've been following this thread for almost a year now and signed up specifically to chat about Knorpp & South. I've been following the Knorpps for years, when they were still well under 100k subscribers. I was fascinated with their diverse family and the wanderlust in both Mike & Megan which (at the time) had them travelling cross-country while living in their 5th wheel RV. When they got back from Europe I stopped watching for a time because frankly I found their non-travelling life a total snooze fest but I started up again out of sheer boredom one day and haven't been able to turn my head away since. OMG have M&M ever changed since those early travelling days!! Their 2019 & 2020 vlogs have been like watching two TOTALLY different people!! That's why I signed up here because I was dying to talk with other people about M&M in an open & honest way, something that's impossible to do in their YT channel comments section. M&M police and censor their YT comment sections like crazy and its impossible to have any meaningful conversation because unless you're praising them your comments will be removed. Anyways, just wanted to introduce myself and say hi. I'm looking forward to chatting with y'all about this family and their ever changing, crazy ways.

Few days ago, I mentioned that only the parents go to « fancy » outings ... and guess what !? They went to Chipotle with all the kids after a fancy trip to see Xmas lights.

Dugger fans - Remember the "FREE GINGER" campaign? I want to free Esther. She is such a sweet and gentle soul. I want her to find a kind and comforting space to live and flourish. Watching her makes me appreciate my mom and sisters so much. Pearl always looks somewhat depressed - but she has always looked like that so I think she is dysthymic - it feels like her baseline. I feel like Esther needs a little more than what Meg can give (actually they all do).

Is it bad of me to think that only Daniel and Esther should get away from this family. Find a proper footing and then get pearl, eve and Jude away. Is it bad that I don't care about Elijah, Andrew, Peter or Asher the same way?

Hi HelloDolly, good to see you signed up. I was in the same boat as you were. Started watching them when they travelled all around usa and then Europe. Then stopped watching them when in Utah and then again started watching their Trainwreck when they moved to NC and took the plunge and made an account here some months backs because I just wasn't satisfied being a lurker on their threads anymore.

I kind of think that the train wreck started to become more evident during the disastrous Peru trip - it was very badly researched and they looked like they had a miserable time (aside from when Meghan was able to shop).

I think it's because Megan only cares about her bio kids in the way she should care about all of them. Or did, anyway. I don't think she can see beyond her own nose right now, but any attention given to the kids is given to the bio kids.

I think it all started going bad when they could not get that house in Utah. They had a good thing going, nice neighbors, some kids were in school, the house was really good. Then they suddenly had to make a new life plan and they had no clue what they wanted aside from that particular home and they ended up buying an overpriced small house on a whim, Meghan started to become addicted to thrifting and Mike had the worst idea ever of suggesting she transformed her addiction into a business, instead of suggesting treatment. It is like saying to an alcoholic "Hey, since you like drinking so much, why don't you open a bar?".
I feel sorry for her because she is in deep trouble, it is obviously affecting her family and it will not go away unless she is willing to face what is causing this.

And didn't they leave Utah because Elijah wanted to go back to North Carolina? And he was there how long before he left on his mission?

I’d be willing to bet that was her first ever visit and they only did it because of the hate they read.

Child services can’t keep up with them because they move so frequently but the state needs to become involved. The younger ones are doomed. They only have hobbies, no skills or education. Why not send the kids to school so mom and dad can be the selfish people they want to be? Too much responsibility to ensure they do homework then? It is neglect and Mike is on the hook for being so passive because clearly Meghan is far too ill to understand what they are doing to these kids.

They say they can understand Eve but over the last few months every time she speaks no one has a clue as to what she’s trying to say. They should have never ever taken her in, it is so irresponsible and abusive to not prepare her for life.

The way Meghan was fucking pouting when her meal was messed up make me want to scream! Mike offered to go back and she decided to just act like a bug crawled up her ass for the entire rest of the night! Also drink every time she said LIGHTS CANT GIVE YOU COVID she really thought she did something there.

When they were at the Utah house, M was diagnosed with cancer and had it removed. Didn't they have a big gap in vlogging, they came back to vlog...and M had lost so much weight...some ppl were speculating she'd had lipo? That's when I noticed her appearance started changing...and has ever since. Now, wondering if she started some meds that she may still be on?!? Strange...

I remember ppl talking about how odd it was they "allowed" Elijah to choose where they'd move to when the Utah house was being sold. Now, looking back, I wonder if it was not about Elijah choosing N.C. for himself, but him seeing the family's situation with Megan changing and Mike lost/unable to deal with the situation. Since Utah was over, he may have remembered N.C. as being the last place the family was stable before their RV traveling. In N.C. before, the kids were in school, they had friends, they had a church community. Maybe it would make sense to try to return to N.C. Only when they got there, M & M didn't pick back up with the prior friends/school/community. Or if they did and it all went off the tracks, and we weren't shown that.

That house in NC was a good move for them. Everyone had space and her workshop gave her an outlet. Close to family. Now that they’ve moved to this cracker box they have absolutely no space and their issues are heightened. I give it ONE year if they’re lucky before they’ve moved onto something else.

I was SO shocked that their little house has a mortgage on it. I don’t know why I was under the impression that they paid for it. I have no idea how these people are going to get a construction loan on top of a traditional mortgage.

I was glad Mike somewhat attempted to call her out on her 10th time of saying 'LIGHTS CANT GIVE YOU COVID' by pointing out that decorations bring tons of random people to your neighbourhood. And they are literally proving right there what the problem is! They're going to someone else's neighbourhood in the middle of a pandemic. Yes, just in their car to drive around and yes they do live close by, but how does she not realise that attractions like that bring thousands of people over the holidays from farther away? Encouraging people to shop and eat in that town while they're there...
