The Christmas Eve vlog is one of their many vlogs showing that. They were in the car on the way to pick up the fish which Esther and Pearl had very sweetly and carefully chosen for Jude, and she saw a thrift shop on the way there and wanted to stop. Mike (for once) insisted that they go to the pet shop (although she was shown in the thrift store later, but Mike seems to be trying to reign her in as he told her that she could only buy what she could carry herself). She also showed how self absorbed she is when in the pet shop. She admired some fish and then looked at others which she said were depressed - Esther and Pearl had chosen one of the 'depressed' ones, so she potentially made them feel really awful about it - Meghan wasn't thoughtful at all of being really positive about what the girls were doing for Jude. I was actually a bit shocked that they were giving Eve a bike and they were turning it into a balance bike initially to make it easier for her to learn - Mike will be behind that thoughtfulness though. Last comment - pyromanic kid (what's-his-name) was to be seen trying to throw his young cousin up in the air - that kid is becoming real trouble.
The thing about the bike is though, you don’t just take the pedals off an ordinary bike and make it a balance bike.
They are different to ordinary bikes by design. They are lighter than ordinary bikes and are much lower to the ground - making them easier to balance. I would really worry that Eve will injure herself on that bike as it is. It is certainly going to be frustrating for her because she isn’t going to be able to learn to balance it, without speed. Balance bikes are different because they are made differently. In any case, there is no reason Eve can’t learn to ride a bike with pedals. It is perfectly within reason for her to be able to do so.
It’s like everything they do. There is no actual thought behind it - like the legs she adds to furniture etc, etc. Megan is not as smart as she thinks. She doesn’t understand the reason why things are the way they are. She’s really not that smart - neither of them are.
Really when you think of it, what experience do they have of the real world? They think they have lived but they haven’t. They are part of a religion which has basically re-written Christianity to suit itself. It doesn’t force them to take responsibility for their own lives. They’ve adopted a couple of kids from China - that’s plenty to ensure their passage into heaven. They don’t have to show love or concern for the problems of the real world. No need to worry about neglecting your kids, protecting others from Corona or anything outside your own selfish desires. One really good work - like adoption - will surely get them to heaven, especially if one of the kids has Down Syndrome! That’s enough - no need to care for them in any other way!
They don’t “deal” with anyone outside their LDS faith - anyone who would really challenge their choices and decisions. They dint like being told how to live, so they disengage from society. One of the chief traits of narcissism is considering yourself to be unique - more special, more individual and more unique than everyone else. Megan is so not unique, though. She is so predictably “not like the other girls”. She wants to make easy money like every other vlogger. She wants to get away from commercialism - while being the biggest self-centred, money waster I have ever encountered.
They want to have a positive influence on the world but what do they contribute to it? They have no concern for the environment. Megan’s rubbish spreads over three different locations now - the house, the RV and “the shop”. Asher is randomly burning wood and all kinds of other stuff he has probably hacked off the surrounding plants. They cleared that whole area in the woods at their last house with no regards for the creatures that lived there. They brought lizards in and out them in tanks - where are they now? What did they do with those when they moved? The kittens are out roaming around but were not vaccinated, treated for parasites and they’re sure as hell not neutered. That needs to be done in males at 4 months!
They want their kids to have a unique education and yet, they have no education. It’s not cool to not educate your kids. If you want them to have the best opportunities they can in life, allow them to develop the best skills they can. If you want them to make a difference in the world - educate them about how they can achieve that. Ignorance breeds ignorance and that’s what they are doing!
Oh and the fish - a betta fish. Good one Mike and Megan. Another fine example of their lack of intelligence. They are hugely exploited little creatures - removed from their natural Asian environment and kept as pets, which they shouldn’t be kept as. They are carnivorous and don’t thrive on fish food. They should only be kept by experienced fish owners. They need large tanks with lots of room to hide amongst stones and vegetation. They are really difficult to look after. There is a huge movement to stop them being sold as pets.
Sorry about the long post. I just get more angry with every video, I watch.
