Yeah Mindy didn’t grow up LDS so her parents and brother are not part of the church. She clearly was having FOMO growing up in Utah and not being part of the crowd so when she graduated high school she immediately sought out an LDS man to marry like all of her friends presumably did.

That was when the were sealed in the temple which they didn’t do right away (likely because of him being divorced I’m assuming or maybe so they could have a ceremony her family could actually attend). So I think they got married, had Ryler, got sealed. Hence why he’s in those photos. There was no lying about how many years they’ve been married.

Actually it could be because Mindi was not raised in the Mormon faith and had to take several steps before becoming a member of the LDS Church so that their marriage could be sealed. It is not something that happens over night so they very well could be telling the truth about how long they've been married. I really don't see a reason for them to lie about something so trivial as that when there are so many people within their families and the church who would know the truth and would release it.

Safe to assume they had a paper marriage and were sealed after Ryler was born. My friend grew up LDS and even though she did "the act" before marriage she was scared that if she didn't confess she was scared she wouldn't go to heaven- I guess the idea is you tell the priest and then you have some form of work you do to pay it off and although you can still attend, you aren't allowed to receive the sacrement (aka communion, bread/wine) so I'm sure you can't be sealed in the temple until that work is paid off.

My friend didn't bother and every year she comes home for the holidays and sits the 'seat of shame' as she attends church with her parents and does not get up for the sacrament-

not saying Brandon and Mindy did that but he definitely had to pay off his divorce, plus Mindy needed to be converted and prove herself- the reason they got sealed later in life.

Plus this whole "take down Christmas" and obsession with it being over, if you love the church so much why aren't you talking about how the twelve days began after he was born so therefor Christmas is twelve days, and Advent is preparing.. part of me wonders if she is 'going through the religious motions' with them church/sunday school, but not compensating at home...

Seeing how many gifts Mindy's parents continually give-for every single holiday really-I can see how Mindy got the way she is. They probably spoiled her to no end. They seem like really nice people, but it looks like they created that monster. It's nice that they include Maddie as part of the family though.

Is Mindy the only daughter in her family? And yes, it is nice that her parents treat Madi as one of their own. My ex-husband's current in-laws do that for my kids, and it means so much, especially since their stepmom doesn't treat them as her own. Her parents are so good to my kids, and since my parents are gone and my ex-husband's parents live far away, I appreciate it so much.

I think she is the only girl. I've never heard her mention a sister, only her brother- but she doesn't talk about him often at all, which is odd. Maybe they can't stand each other, lol. And wow, that's really awesome about your ex-husband's in laws. There still are decent people out there!

Lets just say her brother isn't mormon and his ex-girlfriend didn't exactly align with Mormon values at all. Mindy is pretty controlling so she probably didn't let her kids see Justin because she might think he's a bad influence. I don't think Mindys side of the family is mormon so she probably distances herself from them on purpose. Probably why Mindys parents are only involved in easter/Christmas and not general conference etc. I know Doug and Jolene are strict mormons so I wonder if they would only accepted Mindy if she converted.....

It's the middle of a pandemic and the Binghams are having a "staycation" at the Grand America... They are extremely irresponsible and it's honestly just sad to watch them at this point because they are clearly struggling with the lack of "epic/rad" content.

Also, the Holland kids are most definitely better behaved and grateful, but they are also spoiled rotten... I just watched their Christmas morning vlog, and Turin got a Nintendo Switch Lite and an Apple Watch. What is it with all of these YouTubers and them just throwing out money left and right like it's nothing? The kid is what, 12?! Rhett Leroy also got AirPods, a Nintendo Switch Lite, a fitness tracker, and a ton of expensive clothes... And we don't even have to start talking about the other Binghams...

I think they speak in that particular cadence to cater to their mostly child audience, and it's what works with young people to hold their attention. There's been research done about it, and if you look at a lot of the other channels that are for kids and pre-teens, they speak in the same manner. It's horrible and frankly sort of creepy if you think about it.

What is with this family and Lululemon?? Before I began my current career, I was a fitness professional and I've admittedly shopped there and tried their clothes before. Some of their jackets and sports bras were nice, but their clothes weren't worth the money. They'd pill up after a few washes just like anything else. And none of these idiots even work out!! I could understand if they wanted something expensive and nice quality because fitness was their thing, but it's not! They're just obsessed with the brand name.

I often wonder if they know what they're doing with the pedo bait thumbnails. Are they just that naive? On one hand, even though I can't really stand them, I don't think they'd knowingly endanger their children in that way, but on the other, who really knows someone on the inside? Mindy seems too stupid and vapid to think about stuff like that, but Branden seems like he would know better.

There's just so many situations in general that would freak me out with having my child on the internet like that- everyone knows their names, everyone knows what toys they like, where they go to school, what neighborhood they live in. No thanks!

It's online not in person. Derik has mentioned that he games online with Ryler and Krew sometimes as well.
