Listening to Candi do a Q&A and she talks about the kids and their personal channels. They get to keep the money they make off of it. She does keep the portion of taxes they'll owe. Plus she pays them monthly for being on the family channel. Candi buys clothes if they go shopping. I bet you a million dollars it's not the same for Heather and Emma and Ellie. The two different parenting styles are so interesting.

I also find it interesting that Emma and Karli want to go to NYC to go to College.

The thing is karli has always talked about going to NYC, emma only started talking about it because that’s where Blair went in gossip girl. Who knows maybe she did or does want to go but the minute she starts gossip girl she’s all NYU. I feel like she doesn’t really understand how college or university works and how hard it is. NYU is a very good but tough school. It’s not the glitz and glam that gossip girl made it seem like.

There's suspicion that Karli was inspired to go to NYU because of Gossip Girl as well. Because when they went to New York for the Thanksgiving parade, the whole family was freaking out about all the people. They were worried about getting mugged in broad daylight. I think they thought all of Manhattan is like the Upper East Side, and Times Square freaked them out.
Emma may want to go to NYU because of Gossip Girl, but I am willing to bet that's why Karli wants to go there too.

Karli _might_ thrive in NYC. I'm not so sure though. I don't think it was what she thought it was going to be when they went for the parade. Plus, I don't think she's got realistic ideas about what she's going to be able to afford. I think she thinks she's going to have a big Upper East Side apartment, when a studio 5th floor walk-up is probably what she will actually be able to afford, even with her YT money. She's from an area that doesn't have a high cost of living.
And I don't think Emma has the grades and extracurricular activities to get into USC. Maybe Florida State.

On Ofn, Karli said she had just started binge-watching Gossip Girl like a month or so ago on Netflix. So , I don't think that's the only inspiration for her wanting to go. NYU is highly competitive and would be extremely hard for either girl to get into. Not sure about the other schools there. I don't see either girl going out there, unless one of their friends get in.

I agree I’d love to see both emma and karli reunite. I know it’s been a long time but I feel like it would be good for emma. As much hate as she gets for it, I think Karli’s attitude would do good for emma. Karli knows how to say no , open her mouth and stick up for herself. I think emma could learn a thing or two from her and learn how to not get walked all over or used, and to say no when she doesn’t want to do something instead of ass Kissing all the time
