The NYE party for her kids was no different than any other night. I think its fine to celebrate and have fun (we do a countdown by drawing things to do each hour, like dance or something). Her kids don't appreciate those kinds of things or have these things to remember when that looked like any other day at their house. Chaotic and loud. You can be the "fun mom" but still be a parent that enforces rules, has bedtimes, etc.

I am clearly in the minority but I thought the NYE thing looked fun. Jess is one of the only youtube moms who does fun things and who's kids will look back on their childhood and have amazing memories. The sand was a bit over the top but I genuinely think that's just her personality. They were at home not out so who cares how loud they were. What did Britney kids do for youtube? Its the comment "fun mom" I was referring to. Its fine to have fun every so often but her kids didnt even seem to realize it was something special just another night for them. Another night with sugar and staying up late.

I agree that she is the best (of the worst), but I think putting your kids online will be somewhat traumatic for at least some of them. She can claim that they are allowed to say no all she wants, but they know they are expected to say yes and act better for the camera, plus their little growing minds don't know any better, especially since it's all any of them have ever known. Sure, it provides them a financially comfortable lifestyle, but who tf knows if they are mentally/emotionally ok with any of it, my guess is not all of them are, at least not as often as she makes it seem, but I bet some of them are also fine most of the time too, I just wouldn't want to risk some of my kids being miserable for my job. I like that you can tell she truly enjoys being a mom and doing fun things with her kids. At least she's not the youtube mom that only had kids for views and ignores them once they come out, I honestly think she would have had this many kids with or without youtube. That being said, I truly can't tell if her kids or youtube are more important to her, I'd hope it's the former, but I don't think any of us would be surprised if it were youtube and it's pretty sad that it's too close to tell. I think the best thing she can do for them is get them all in therapy early on, like now, so they can learn to have the agency to actually tell her no if that's how they are feeling, I would honestly respect her so much for that...as long as it's coming from her share of the money and not their's.

I think she does go above and beyond to make sure things like this include the kids- not just her own, but all the kids who are at any event she goes to or plans.

SOOOOO many of the vlogger moms are more obsessed with making sure they have a coffee every 10 minutes, go on mommy vacations, spend time shopping, complain about the kids every 10 minutes, and are completely self absorbed.

Say what you will, she’s a decent mom. She may have issues we don’t like, and we might not always like what she does, but those kids are her life. They are always enrolled in activities they want to do, she spends her time carting them back and forth and attending every event. She volunteers at school (or did pre-Covid), she plans vacations and day trips that keep the kids in mind, and generally makes sure they want for nothing.

There are FAR worse examples out there. The Gardner’s, Britney & Frenk, Okbaby, Channing Rose, the Bingham, there are a lot of shit parents out there showing off, thinking they are great.

Do I think she’s a wonderful mom? No- She has a lot of flaws that stem from becoming a mom too early, then going balls to the wall with every man she met, spitting out kids too quickly for her to really adjust between. She has no capability of being single. She has no concept of creating rules for the kids, they spend too much time entertained with screens, she has not taken Covid seriously at all, and those kids have somehow been taught that the road is a great playground.

She shows favoritism at times, she can be exceedingly over the top, she has no business showing the kids in any state of undress or in vulnerable situations, and she is absolutely, without a doubt, aware that a fairly big portion of her viewers are made up of adult men- and that should absolutely be unsettling to any family vlogger, but they all seem to lean right into it because it directly affects their money.

I do think that all of the bio kids will have some major issues in society as they get older. Not only is every major thing they have ever gone through posted online for anyone to view, but also that they are definitely going to be ill-prepared for life without a camera in their faces.

All 5 of the bio kids have had nearly every major moment (and a lot of inane ones) filmed from the moment of birth. None of them understand consent enough to do it, and by the time they are old enough to understand, the damage of what’s online is done. Employers, friends, significant others- they will all have open access to the kids entire lives.

But compared to most vlogger moms, she’s a decent mom who genuinely cares about her kids. If she didn’t, I guarantee she would not put time or effort into activities, playing games, going on bike rides, or even being around them as much as she does. She could easily hire a nanny with the money she makes. Others have done it.

The noise of the last video bothered me more so as a viewer having to listen to it. But if it doesn’t bother her or Chris that the kids scream like banshees inside the house, then why should it bother me? I don’t have to listen to it.

She doesn't cook for them, she provides them shelter but they pay for it like you said, she doesn't really teach them respect they just are entitled like her. Her step kids didn't have a bed for many years and she felt letting them sleep where they fell was ok, because again cool mom over being a responsible parent. Those kids also were addicted to iPads she just doesn't show it as much because she got called out by people asking if they still were doing chores to earn screen time and we know that failed. Kids are often seen with their iPad in bed, they have tvs in their room, Lilia was/is addicted to her phone (only she didn't have to do chores for any time that week the boys were).

Oh yeah she knew exactly what she was doing. Like her, I had my kids young, at 18, 19 and 25 and I knew too. Still married eons later, but it was not easy at all! We struggled. So it ticks me off how she constantly glorifies teen parenthood. How many of her minions think this is the cool thing to do.

I'm honestly kind of loving that their house is falling apart so fast. People on here were able to find credible stories about this company being sketchy in 30 minutes. Jess could have easily done her due diligence, been patient and waited until they found a reputable company. But she's to impatient and this is what you get

The lot alone was a mistake, then the builders having bad reviews.

It sounds like the washer itself (hose) leaked, so maybe it wasn't on the builders. Her saying they will have to call homeowners probably means she knows it was on them not the builders but my question is why didn't they shut off the water until they knew what was wrong? That carpet got wet fairly quickly so if it was from the washer why wasn't it off?
