Yes that was my thought. The carpet wasn't wet when Chris was standing there but was later? Why didn't he shut it off before going to Lowes?

So her house has a leak. Why didn’t she turn the water off at the mains instead of letting it drip all down the walls and under the carpet in her house? They can’t seriously be that stupid? All just staring and poking at the paint?

They then think it’s the washing machine itself that’s leaking. But they brought that machine over from their old house didn’t they? So I don’t know what the builders are going to do if it’s an appliance causing the issues and not the pipes in the walls.

And gross - Jess mentions that if they can’t get it fixed that they will have to go to the shops and buy more towels. Presumably using the towels without washing them first if they don’t have a usable washing machine. Why can’t she just rinse off the wet/soapy towels in the bath, wring them out and put them in the dryer? Or take the towels to a laundromat to finish washing and drying? But nope, just buy more towels.

I'm honestly kind of loving that their house is falling apart so fast. People on here were able to find credible stories about this company being sketchy in 30 minutes. Jess could have easily done her due diligence, been patient and waited until they found a reputable company. But she's to impatient and this is what you get

I agree that she is the best (of the worst), but I think putting your kids online will be somewhat traumatic for at least some of them. She can claim that they are allowed to say no all she wants, but they know they are expected to say yes and act better for the camera, plus their little growing minds don't know any better, especially since it's all any of them have ever known. Sure, it provides them a financially comfortable lifestyle, but who tf knows if they are mentally/emotionally ok with any of it, my guess is not all of them are, at least not as often as she makes it seem, but I bet some of them are also fine most of the time too, I just wouldn't want to risk some of my kids being miserable for my job. I like that you can tell she truly enjoys being a mom and doing fun things with her kids. At least she's not the youtube mom that only had kids for views and ignores them once they come out, I honestly think she would have had this many kids with or without youtube. That being said, I truly can't tell if her kids or youtube are more important to her, I'd hope it's the former, but I don't think any of us would be surprised if it were youtube and it's pretty sad that it's too close to tell. I think the best thing she can do for them is get them all in therapy early on, like now, so they can learn to have the agency to actually tell her no if that's how they are feeling, I would honestly respect her so much for that...as long as it's coming from her share of the money and not their's.

But she did plan Lilia because she wanted to have a reality show. 17 or not she knew what she was doing.

My question is does being fun/acting childish wanting to be their friend make her better? She doesn't cook for them, she provides them shelter but they pay for it like you said, she doesn't really teach them respect they just are entitled like her. Her step kids didn't have a bed for many years and she felt letting them sleep where they fell was ok, because again cool mom over being a responsible parent. Those kids also were addicted to iPads she just doesn't show it as much because she got called out by people asking if they still were doing chores to earn screen time and we know that failed. Kids are often seen with their iPad in bed, they have tvs in their room, Lilia was/is addicted to her phone (only she didn't have to do chores for any time that week the boys were).

Oh yeah she knew exactly what she was doing. Like her, I had my kids young, at 18, 19 and 25 and I knew too. Still married eons later, but it was not easy at all! We struggled. So it ticks me off how she constantly glorifies teen parenthood. How many of her minions think this is the cool thing to do.

We had a laundry on the second floor. A pan was built in for that reason. We did have a leak and it went right to the drain in the pan. We asked our contractor to do that when we renovated and moved the laundry from the basement to the second floor. I doubt Jesss thought to look into anything like that.

Since Roslyn and family were there when T & C still were that means they probably had to give up their bedroom for the guests (Roslyn and husband). She doesn't think about those boys at all, even though they have their own room they really don't.

Its super easy during a build to put in a drain on the floor of a laundry like a wet room shower has. Why on earth you’d have an upstairs laundry (or any laundry) these days without a floor drain is beyond me.

We had a leak in our washing machine and our whole hallway was flooded. We had to replace the carpet, vinyl etc. (we had only been in our house a month). The first thing hubby did was put in a floor drain, middle of the laundry room, with the tile flooring angled into the drain. We have had one more leak - kids left the tap on with the plug in and it just all drained away!

The house they had built by a company they didn't look into who has terrible reviews is full of problems...who would have guessed... There were things they could've done to make sure this didn't happen but when you use a crappy company, you get a crappy house. They didn't put any thought into what they needed in a house or the company the got to build it, there was no other way this could go but disaster and so far that's exactly what it's been.

I hope the whole thing falls down around their ankles, the deserve it.

What she was calling on was a home warranty, not specifically the builders.

When you purchase a home, you have a short amount of time to purchase an add on warranty, regardless of the age or condition of the home.

The warranty will cover various part of the home, based on what type of plan you purchase. This is also why she spent an entire day just waiting on them to call back- typically home warranties require that you pay a service call fee, and they get to pick the company they send out, because they usually get a slight discount. They will not pay if you do the work yourself or hire someone else.

Now, if the issue is inside her walls (and I am certain it is, or water would be covering the floor well before it was dripping into the sink below), it’s something the warranty should cover.

If it’s user error (the skööbs fucked up), the will have to cover the cost themselves.

Now, the part she is likely fucked on, is the carpet, paint, damage running water inside her walls, etc, because they did not shut the water to the house off, and allowed the leak to run unchecked.

If I had to guess, the PEX or PVC water line cracked inside the wall, or cane unconnected from the main valve in the laundry room. That would cause water to run continuously inside the walls even after shutting off the washing machine.

So.. basically they took a relatively small issue that likely needed a half days work from a plumber and some new drywall, is now going to require several days, some new plumbing, a lot of new drywall, new paint, a new ceiling, possibly some new ductingnif it actually was coming out of the duct itself (though I suspect it was simply running along the grate and dripping down), new carpet upstairs, probably new flooring in the laundry room, and quite possibly new framing.

I don’t understand how there were 4 grown ass adults standing around staring at it and not one thought to shut the water off. And Skööb tried to act like he’s some sort of amazing handyman.

I think Mimi just has the bare minimum in her suite.She bought her own fridge n I don't think there was even a stove or dishwasher.Just a small sink in the counter.More like a hotel suite.'
