I believe she was their neighbor in Orem and her family moved to St. George and once they moved to St. George they “reconnected” and she semi became the kids Nanny. I’ve seen her in the background a lot helping with school. Also, she babysat the kids when Sarah and Johnny went on one of their vacations when they lived in Orem.

I’m glad to see the kids got better gifts this year than in years past but I still can’t get on board with the dollar store gifts. It’s all junk and I also don’t understand why they have so many lego sets. I’ve never been super into legos so maybe I don’t understand the hype.

Allie posted a video on her channel answering assumptions about herself and honestly I feel bad. Like we've talked about on this thread before, the parents really didn't do a great job preparing these kids for life and it hurts watching her try to force herself into adulthood while she still seems to want to act like a child. She did say she was sensitive and she seems like one adult situation could crack her. I'm not much older than Allie and I know that although you're legally an adult at 19, you are not one by any means. To think about needing to date for marriage when you haven't even had a first kiss blows my mind. I know that's the Utah culture but I also think the culture is teaching her that she can't be in a relationship until she finds a guy who fits ALL of her "perfect boy" stereotypes. It's okay to date someone you don't end up marrying and it's way too much pressure to think you can't seriously date unless it's someone you will marry.

I also thought the fact that she said her family all wants her to marry Adam and she doesn't think he's the perfect guy was interesting. I really have no opinion on that, if she doesn't want to date him that isn't overly important. Im glad she isn't waiting around for him anymore, but giving him a chance probably wouldn't hurt as at one point in her life he did love her. I'm interested to see if 2021 is the year Allie gets married. Also- no hate to her. I get that adulting when you aren't an adult is hard.

Oh, I know who she is... but, I don't understand why she's become like a permanent fixture in their family as of late.. she's just a very odd-ish person, and she talks over the kids so much. I know she went on mission, and she's religious, but... in the vlog where they gave her one of the calendars of all the temples, and she started to tear up saying she felt the spirit or something... I guess I just don't get their religion enough? None of the others reacted that way.. it kinda reminded me of some of those church things you can see on tv.. where they "feel the spirit" and put their hands on peoples foreheads and heal them, and they fall to the floor. I just get a weird vibe from her. Maybe it's just me.

I also was glad to see they got better gifts. I think the kids just really like the dollar store tradition, even though most of it is junk, sometimes you can find something good in there... like, pre-covid... I found a nice ring holder and some drugstore brand makeup, that was still good, for a dollar! Cover Girl, Maybelline, and Milani. I bought a lot of things, since that was a crazy find. I personally loved legos as a kid, and I was actually thinking about getting a lego set, when I start feeling better haha! It's just something to do that keeps you busy and helps you learn to concentrate and follow instructions. And also be creative, once you've built whatever the item was and you go wild with the legos later.

WTF? The basement window broke at the beginning of September 2020, and visible in todays vlog, it's still not fixed. There are still large glass shards sticking out, while the little kids (including unpredictable Canyon) are playing in the same room:

Haven’t watched in a long time but their posts come up on Instagram suggestions from time to time. Can anyone fill me in on why Daniel dropped out of high school And how J+S tried to spin it to make it sound like the best possible decision, as they always do?

Daniell was in so many different homeschool programs, and they never got her transcripts... so, when they tried to enroll her into school, and went to get them, there was one school (maybe two??) that they lost them or couldn't find her in their system.. even though she had attended and passed the curriculum. So, she would have missed that semester and had to do it over, since they lost it. Something like that, if I remember right (maybe someone can help out?). Anyway, J&S said that it was okay because, Johnny didn't graduate and he was successful.. and she was already going to school to do what she wanted to do in life.. yada yada yada. that's the gist of what I got out of it.

Oh wow. So J&S are going to let their carelessness destroy their daughters future. Pretty typical for them, I guess. And Daniel has been homeschooling the longest! You’d think they would have it figured out by now but, to them, homeschooling just means more play time. So sad for those kids. Anyways, thanks for filling me in!

Hopefully someone can fill in the gaps that I missed or don't remember/may have gotten wrong. But, yeah... that's basically it. I mean.. at least have her get her GED, if they can't get their shiz together you know? I don't think a college degree is needed... but, I think a HS diploma or GED should be attained. Just my opinion.

I’m pretty sure you got it correct. She’s was in so many different programs over the last few years of home schooling that all of credits didn’t transfer and one school even said she was never a student. I believe she did get her GED because that was easier than her repeating a semester, if not more than one semester but she is still in Beauty school. She either had to be current with high school or get her GED in order to stay in her Beauty School program and obtaining a GED was the best choice.

I agree. I also could care less about Branson and Mara having a baby. Actually, it makes me sick to think Branson may ever be in charge of children’s well-being.

What was up with the whole car situation? I'm very behind on their vlogs and just kind of skipped through the "We Bought Our Daughter Two Cars" video. I think it's just a temporary situation, but still, Danielle gets a brand new car at sixteen? While Allie gets her car that was a gift taken back by Sarah and Johnny and spends her life savings to buy her own car at 18? Even if it is temporary why does a barely sixteen year old who barely got her license get a very nice car like that? Looked brand new to me. Plus, Johnny is building her actual car piece by piece I believe and I'm guessing she doesn't have to pay for any of the parts or labor going into it. It's just Johnny's always running his mouth about how he doesn't pay his kids college or buy his kids homes or buy them cars or make life easy for them.... UNLESS it's Branson, Danielle, or Canyon, apparently. How many months did Branson and Mara live in one of their homes? And now they're constantly crashing at their place and even bringing their laundry to do at their house. Danielle gets her school paid for and gets a brand new car as soon as she turns sixteen. I'm sure they'll buy Canyon a mansion once he's 18, if he's not in jail by then. The favoritism and double standards they have with their kids is just hard to watch. They're going to create a whole lot of sibling rivalry and resentment, like we already see a little with Allie and Branson.

Also, what do you all think of Allie getting a new job doing parties as a Princess? I'm glad she's happy about it. It really doesn't strike me as something that would make a good long term career or substantial income, though. She still seems very lost and confused on what direction to take or what to do next. It's sad to see someone with so much potential not get anywhere because no one will take the time to help her or guide her into adulthood.

I skip around a ton when watching them because I find them unbearable but I *think*
they gave Ali’s old car, the tan Suburban away (that was the car Daniell was driving until her car was ready) and the white Lexus she’s driving now is apart of a brand deal. I could be completely wrong though. Branson’s car was given to him, too. I guess time will tell with Savannah in a few years.

I think Ali wanted a new car and wasn’t forced to purchase one, I don’t think Johnny and Sarah made her buy one.

Those Lexus's are at least 10 years old, not brand new. They are in great condition. But they actually re-sold the one Daniell was supposed to drive! Allie had to drive her to school. I'm glad Allie has some form of a real job now, but she needs to realize that this is probably the closest she'll ever come to being a "Disney princess". The parents have done a horrible job when it comes to educating these kids. They push the idea that college is unnecessary for success. While they're somewhat right, these kids have no back up plans, and they haven't really prepared the kids to succeed in any other way.

Who is this Drake guy now? Every time I watch them they have some new stranger living in their house, it seems. They just left all four of their kids with Aspen and this Drake guy for four days? Maybe it's just me but that seems like a really long time to leave your kids with non-family members. Unless Drake is somehow related to them (I've missed a lot of vlogs so idk), but if it's just Aspen bringing her friends around to the house while she's babysitting, well I wouldn't allow that.

He’s Aspen’s boyfriend and goes to their church so I would assume that they know and trust him and Aspen enough to babysit the little kids for four days.

Random questions:

Watching skipping through one of the newest vlogs I wondered who this "Rachel" is. I assume she is a relative of the Tanners?
Image

She has been in the vlogs before, together with Olivia (far right), which I assume is also a relative of the family? A cousin, maybe?
Image

Maybe someone watches the vlogs more religiously (LOL) than me, and has more knowledge. These mormon vloggers have just to many damn kids. For example I can hardly keep up with who that big bearded fellow and that new nanny and her BF-in-tow are...

Hence I need an update.
