Ahh, good to know! I myself found it hard to believe that even if they WERE in this program, that they'd agree to pay the exorbitant costs for them to stay in a beachside rental.judgyqueen wrote: ↑Mon Jan 18, 2021 7:21 pmThey're not doing this program. The specific program will offer discounts on hotels, not airbnbs. There are other programs besides the one this girl mentioned, but I think it's unlikely they're doing those either because those programs mostly just cover your flight, which honestly is the cheap part when you consider what it costs to live in Hawaii. In those programs, you have to volunteer in exchange. I only know this because I looked into it myself. The headlines make it sound like they're paying for you to have a free trip, but accommodations are nothing like what Bri is in. It sounds like these commenters read the big, fancy headlines but didn't click on the article or do much research.Autumn2455 wrote: ↑Mon Jan 18, 2021 6:38 pm Did anyone see this exchange on her newest video? Could explain why they're able to stay in that fancy-ass rental.

They’re part of the program In Hawaii where you work remotely for a mainland company but Hawaii foots the bill for your flight and rental. They’re def not paying 35k a month.

@Cassidy Jackson so how do you qualify for this program?

@Amanda Willis I’m not kidding. Google it. Hawaii was picking 50 families/single individuals for it. She even used the hashtag hawaii50 on her announcement photo.

I'm fairly new to Bri - what does Adam do for a job? If they can afford this place I'm assuming he's not a stay at home dad like Chris Beaston....

I can't help but feel like this has something to do with politics. Are they afraid of something breaking out with the inauguration? Why else would they just pack one suitcase per person and "move" all the way to a secluded island so quickly? This makes absolutely NO sense.

This has been planned way too long for that to be the case, IMO. I still suspect rehab.mintcupcake wrote: ↑Tue Jan 19, 2021 4:34 am I can't help but feel like this has something to do with politics. Totally agree! Sorry, I should have clarified better - it's still a massive amount for sure. I can't even wrap my brain around it, but I just meant that they didn't get a free ride or a heavily discounted trip from one of the programs trying to bring more people into Hawaii.luxe0780 wrote: ↑Tue Jan 19, 2021 12:46 amagree with this. but, even if she was getting 40-50% off the listed rates, that’s still a heck of a lot of coin for a 3 month stay. especially if you’re planning to relocate permanently. costs of moving an entire house worth of stuff, judgyqueen wrote: ↑Mon Jan 18, 2021 7:30 pm I should have added to my above post ^^ that I do not think they're paying anywhere near what airbnb/vrbo is showing. I think they got a HEAVILY discounted price. I know I mentioned this earlier, but I think home owners are very thankful right now to get any rentals at all. If Bri agreed to stay for 3 months, they were likely very thankful for that and heavily discounted it. Tourism is picking back up there but it's still not what it was.
car etc, it all adds up. you’d be mad to drop $15-$20k on 3 months accommodation if you’ve got further significant expenses coming up. which, when you think about it rationally, makes me conclude they don’t. because only a madman would part with so much money when you still have further expenses coming up. her and adam are not wealthy by any stretch of the imagination, as much as they’d like us all to believe.
The poster above me asked why they would up and go, and part of me thinks that this truly has always been a dream (who wouldn't dream of it?) but more importantly than that, I think she's hoping for a positive financial return due to the new content she'll be able to make there. Dropping that much money on lodging alone is a ton for anyone, even someone who makes upwards of 200k a year, which I think they do. I don't know what Adam does, but I wouldn't be surprised if she alone makes 150-200k. She has mentioned on her podcast that sponsorships are at least $1k each, but that also was when she was brand new new so I have no doubt she's making much more than that per sponsor and that she is absolutely raking it in. Plus her class, cookbook, and views from YouTube. And all of this is not even considering Adam's job. They're doing just fine financially.
So anyways, long story short, my theory is that even though it's an insane amount to spend on lodging - even for someone wealthy - they are probably hoping it brings in even more money for them because of the content. Plus, of course, it IS a vacation. I also don't know a lot about write offs, but perhaps much of it can be a write off, too. And one "theory" - they do typically go on a fairly extravagant vacation each year (Europe, Disney, etc) and because of covid, they really haven't. If they consider this both their 2020 and 2021 vacation, it's still more expensive than two yearly vacations, but they would have more wiggle room in the budget for such a lavish vacation (if they budget lol plus if their friends really are staying in their house, then they're probably making a little bit of money there or at least enough to cover the mortgage which would decrease their monthly bills.
Ok. Sorry this was long. I don't even regularly watch her that much (I'll peek when someone here mentions something interesting), but I'm obsessed with Hawaii so I'm intrigued lol.

So I am definitely in the minority here but I would absolutely hate living somewhere warm LOL. I love my seasons and snow. I hate the heat! I enjoy vacations yes but I’d lose my mind in Hawaii haha.
Anyway I agree with the person who said Bri is unhappy. I think she is manic depressive and this is all a facade for a very unhappy and unstable woman. I still don’t believe this move is permanent. It’s a temporary escape from reality and life’s struggles and a desperate grab for content.
Also, I guarantee we will hear soon that Adam quit his job because youtube is so wonderful and he is her “manager”. What a joke.

I wonder if she's encountered any cockroaches or the huge centipedes Hawaii has. They are common there if you live there! I would be terrified!
Re: Brianna K: Moldy Punch, Mom of a Spoiled Bunch, Pills Again for Adam's Lunch | Part 6
Adam is a Marketing Manager so I would say he’s making at least highish five figures possibly low 6 figures. Basically anything they do including this vacation can be taken by Bri as an expense which reduces their taxes. This is what helps these Yter have such extravagant life styles. I feel like this is just going to be temporary it would have been better if she was more honest if that is the case. I don’t agree with everything she does but I do have to say she is one of the smarter ones at treating her channel like a business.judgyqueen wrote:Totally agree! Re: Brianna K: Moldy Punch, Mom of a Spoiled Bunch, Pills Again for Adam's Lunch | Part 6
I'm too lazy to quote lol ^^^, but I agree that Bri is very smart about treating it as a business. I feel like she's more transparent than some and sometimes she comes across as "fake" but I think she's one of those people who's kind of like that all of the time. Like, comes across as "perfect" all of the time even with people she knows in real life.
For the genuine vloggers, I'm sure it's hard to choose between posting what they want/the complete truth and posting what will make money. Wanting to make money isn't always a bad thing for them as long as they are doing it ethically - it is their career, after all. I compare it kind of to a reality show where most of it is true but certain storylines are exaggerated. At the end of the day, it's entertainment.
To add on about Bri treating her YouTube channel like a business, I feel like Bri actually puts time into her channel overall. She actually plans it out and puts work in whereas Tiffani Beaston just throws together sloppy, half-assed compilations of things, doesn't plan anything out, doesn't even come up with her own content/makes her followers tell her what to post half the time, etc. I could go on and on. Tiffani just got lucky that she started YouTube when it was early whereas Bri actually offers fresh content, ideas, inspiration for some (comparatively, anyways).
So I don't blame Bri for thinking like a businesswoman and doing what will help her business, though I do agree that I wish she was more open about it. I guess I view this kind of like a reality TV preview - they show previews that make scenes look like something completely different than what they actually are. So Bri is "moving" there for 3 months - just like on the previews it might look like your favorite couple is divorcing because of a fight that was shown out of context. But then you watch the episode and realize it wasn't true. And even though you know that, you watch it anyways. But, I digress. I'm just biased because she seems more harmless (white lies to gain viewership, more of a perfectionist than fake) when compared to Tiffani (blatant lies, totally fake).

Re: Brianna K: Moldy Punch, Mom of a Spoiled Bunch, Pills Again for Adam's Lunch | Part 6
I definitely think Bri has more brains that the majority of women on YouTube. She also uses her intelligence as a weapon and takes advantage of/deceives people frequently. (Ie: Cookbook with stolen recipes). I see and understand how she smartly treats it LIKE a business but I get annoyed when youtubers act like they OWN their own business. I have many business owners in my family. Filming your everyday life for the internet is a far cry from being a “business owner”. The problem is, youtube pays people a ridiculous amount of money to broadcast themselves to the world because in turn, YouTube makes billions, so they think they are doing something so super important. I stopped following lovemeg because she acts like she cures cancer by cleaning a table. Anyway, the folks I know who truly run their own business do not sit around in sweats all day long, only leaving the house to shop at target. Work is 24/7, some of them own a family business at their home. They have employees to pay and quotas to meet and finances to keep track of. Getting free vacuums and filming yourself cleaning is not running a business. The same goes for mlms. Don’t even get me started on that

Re: Brianna K: Moldy Punch, Mom of a Spoiled Bunch, Pills Again for Adam's Lunch | Part 6
I’ve been following Bri for about a year. I always liked the music soundtracks to her videos, and her house was similar in size and style to my own, so I could implement a lot of her ideas, and I thought she had some good ones. With her move to Hawaii I have no interest in watching her videos. I live in snowy NE in a traditional style home. Island life, beach style decor, just doesn’t do anything for me. I innocently commented that I no longer found her content relateable, and I was shocked by how some of her crazy followers responded to my comment. They do know that she’s not like, their actual friend, right? That her YT videos are a source of income for her, her videos are a product, and as a consumer I can comment about the fact that her product is no longer relevant to my lifestyle?. I had no interest in watching her new videos, and now I’m unsubscribing and distancing myself from the cult of crazies who are so immersed in Bri’s life they actually feel the need to leap to the defense of a perfect stranger. It’s bizarre, and it got me RE-thinking the whole concept of being a “follower” of anyone.

All these influencers who are so “uplifting and inspecting” to women yet not one I follow has posted anything about our country getting it’s first female VP today.

THANK YOU. I was really disappointed to see that none of them acknowleged anything having to do with the AMAZING thing that happened earlier today. It doesn't matter who you support. A POC woman becomming the Vice President is absolutely monumental and as women we cannot be divided on this moment. It saddens me that these women wouldn't even pay tribute to their own. Bri, if you read here (and we all know you do) please take a stand and acknowledge what an amazing moment this is for our country. No one is going to stop following you, we will respect you more.

Y'all know they only speak up when tragedy is involved. So they can pretend to care, take a stance, and feel better about themselves for the "kindness starting at the home"
Re: Brianna K: Moldy Punch, Mom of a Spoiled Bunch, Pills Again for Adam's Lunch | Part 6
Anyone know what happened to the podcast she had? I saw someone commented on her instagram but she never answered them. Got me wondering too.
Re: Brianna K: Moldy Punch, Mom of a Spoiled Bunch, Pills Again for Adam's Lunch | Part 6
Good question. She put out 24 episodes, the most recent on Nov. 20. She did have a baby around that time, which makes it totally viable that she would take some time off, but to not even have mentioned it for several months makes me suspicious that it's just going to disappear.
Re: Brianna K: Moldy Punch, Mom of a Spoiled Bunch, Pills Again for Adam's Lunch | Part 6
probably another flash in the pan venture so she could add it to her flashy resume of achievements. with her, i get the sense it’s about ticking off boxes and trying to get an enviable list of achievements next to her name, rather than actually being passionate about creating something that delivers values to her fan base. if she had any actual real content, surely she’d focus on delivering it really well to her followers. but instead she flutters around manically, trying to “get it all done” so she looks impressive. YT channel, check. “cook book”, check. appearance on GMA, check. podcast, check. none of it is especially impressive nor of any real substance. YT channel which either features repetitive content or relies on dishonesty in order to create new content. cook book consists of ripped off recipes or basic sauce from a jar, nothing that actually involves real cooking. the podcast was probably just an homage to hearing the sound of her own voice. and i didn’t see the gma segment but heard very tepid reviews about it. so although on the surface of it, bri sounds impressive, when you actually scrutinize her “achievements”, they’re not that impressive. so yeah, long way of saying i reckon the podcast was just another go-nowhere venture that she’s probably grown bored of.hannahps wrote: ↑Wed Jan 20, 2021 11:43 pmGood question. LOL Remember the Etsy shop?
The Youtube Interview Series?
The 2nd Youtube Channel?
The Podcast is probably following in their footsteps.

Re: Brianna K: Moldy Punch, Mom of a Spoiled Bunch, Pills Again for Adam's Lunch | Part 6
My theory is...
Somewhere, she posted about having a business coach (I think that it was in her 2020 in review post on Insta, but not sure). Anyways - these "coaches" (major eyeroll - life coaches and business coaches are the new pyramid scheme in my eyes, no offense to anyone here who is one or has one - there are good ones but most are trying to make a quick buck with no real experience or education to actually be helpful) are all about getting you to do BIG THINGS to mAkE tHe MoNeY yOu DeSeRvE.
So I'm guessing that this is where her idea for the class came from - it's very on brand for life coaches/business coaches/etc. to sell classes and teach you how to do the same for TONS of money under the guise that if it's important to you, you'll come up with the money.. or that money is your commitment to yourself to change..or that you'll get back what you invested. And along with the class, my guess is that this "coach" also got her talked into the Podcast.
