The tribute vlog was very nice. I didn’t realize how involved and happy Grammie was around all her grandkids. She seemed like a wonderful lady. Jess did a nice job with the montage. Kept the other parts to a minimum.

I don't know why she had to leave in the kids crying, audio or not. Why can't they have some things in private? Did they consent to that like she claims?

I just think the montage would have been fine. And I give it to Chris to say don't worry about anything here, Jess would be whining he had to leave (and did when his dad passed).

I liked the video. I wish I had videos of my mom before she died. I like the tribute video and I think that’s what Jess meant by so good. She was such a good grandma and very involved with the kids. Grief is real and raw and everyone will experience it in their lives. I think she did the video in a way that wasn’t to much. It broke my heart to see the kiddos loose it though it brings me back to loosing my mom when I was 16.

I don't watch jess anymore but I noticed her Grammy passed. So devastating. I lost my aunt to cancer this past May. Fucking shit, I hate it so much. Fuck cancer.

My aunt wasn't even 50 yet and you can just see it, like Grammy the losing weight, gaunt face, grey short hair growing back after chemo and rounds of radiation.
Fuck. Just like my aunt.

That video got me. She is so blessed she has videos forever to watch and remember and appreciate. And the fact that this kiddos can always see how much their great grandma loved them and the wonderful relationship they had, and all the sweet memories. I'm glad the kids wl always have that.

I wish every single day my aunt could be here to watch my son grow. He was 11 months when she passed. She was THE most excited when I got pregnant, mind you I was 22 and not married yet so the fact that she was just enamored with my little guy, meant the world.


To anyone who's ever lost someone to cancer, I send all my love. And I know this is a snark page. I'm not here to start anything but my condolences to Jess. I hope they can heal.

That video was incredibly hard to watch. While it was a beautiful tribute to her grandma which seemed such a lovely lady, some parts like the children being so upset should’ve been kept private.

It shows the sick and twisted mind of a vlogger - they can't experience anything without having the camera out, and everything being experienced is a money making opportunity. She shouldn't have put the kids in it crying like that. Vloggers like her have little concept of private moments.

I have an issue with jess rushing straight to the hospital and then setting up her camera. Although you don’t see too much, you see enough. I hope grammie would be ok with the world seeing her literally on her death bed.

Then just the filming of people in their grief doesn’t sit right with me. I can not fathom going through things like this and wanting to film it all.

A tribute alone would have been nice

Ugh, the tribute part of the video was beautiful. I cried through it. But Mimi sitting with Kyson and Addie broke my heart. I lost my father in May and realized that no matter how old you are, whether you have your own family or not, whether you rely on them or see them daily... the loss of a parent is absolutely horrible. I struggle every single day. So seeing Mimi look so devastated really got to me.

I understand why she filmed the hospital trip and kind of understand why she filmed telling the children... this is a major and super sad event in their lives. But I don’t see why she felt she had to include it in the published video.

I think the video itself is ok and doesn't show too much, though the kids could have been left out. I was seven when my grandfather died and if there were now a video floating around on the internet of the moment I was told, I wouldn't be happy at all.

But when I think about the background logistics of the clips, I cringe. Like the clip of Mimi looking out the window in New York on the verge of tears. How was that filmed? "Oh mom I'll just set up the camera here and film you looking sad, ok?"

They found out the hospital was letting them all be in the room with her. Which they probably weren't expecting with Covid regulations.

I can not imagine going into see my dying Grandmother and looking for the best angle to film her last moments so it could be posted on YouTube for money.

Some things need to be kept private.

jesss just doesn’t know when to keep it classy. a tribute video would have been enough but filming the whole thing was honestly just disturbing and i wish she would have included a trigger warning for people who don’t watch her often. it’s not like they would know what the video is about considering jesss uses similar titles as clickbait. and what would go thru your head telling the kids like “i’m gonna film it for the memories”. idk the filming of the trip, was n the hospital room, and telling the children was honestly extremely disturbing. there are many healthy ways to process death, and making a tribute video is one of them. vlogging the whole thing and telling you children and putting it on the internet is NOT a healthy way to grieve. it just isn’t. not healthy for jess or mimi or the kids.
