I thought losing her grandma would change the way she sees things a little bit. Be a bit more empathetic. She just does not seem to care one bit. Publicizing her grandma's passing like that says everything. No wonder she couldn't be there for Chris when he was grieveing, or understand Kyson's feelings. Instead she just acts like they're both an inconvenience. At this point it's not that she chooses to be happy go lucky all the time, it seems like something is seriously lacking about her. It's concerning. We can all agree that everybody grieves differently, but pulling out and setting up a camera in your grandma's final minutes is just not normal.

i thought the video was nice and actually cried during it lol. didn't like how she filmed the kids at the end though, there's some things you keep private and jesss doesn't seem to know that

That being said, I appreciate that she showed the reality of the situation. There wasn't a sunshine and rainbows take on it. I'm hoping that in the coming videos we see her giving her kids time to grieve, even as they go on with every day life.

Did anyone else notice that we really didn't see a clip of Kaden? Obviously Addie is a bit to young to really grasp what's happening. But we saw Kyson, Lilia and Landon all getting emotional, we didn't see Kaden. I wonder why

My guess is that Kaden didn't cry like the rest of the kids. Some kids process grief differently and don't show much of an outward reaction. I hate to say it, but Jess probably thought his reaction didn't fit the narrative of the video and left him out.

I understand how hard it is to lose a family member. I was completely broken when my nan died and I’m still sad about her. But why record her final breath... the tribute and videos through her life would’ve been enough in my eyes. She didn’t record Chris’ dad dying, why would this be any different?

Pretty sure most people would’ve understood if she chose not to share this. Saying she shares the highs and the lows is just her way of posting the video, making money off it and making it seem okay.

Mimi is the reason Jess is the way she is. She never told her no so why start now? Also look at the tantrum Mimi threw when the bounce house thing happened, she acted like Jess and I realized where Jess got it.

The thing is, Miami clearly doesn't care/mind. Jess is extremely close with her entire family and if any of them had an issue I dont think she would film them. I personally wouldn't have filmed any of it but she also never showed Grammies face and we never heard conversations. I know it's the age old "she shouldn't film this" conversation but I dont see any evidence of anyone but viewers caring. She filmed it in the classiest way you can film something that should be private.
Her family also clearly has a history of filming everything and they are lucky to be left with probably hundreds of hours of their lives on film. I k ow it is different to share that footage online but everyone has to know if Jess is involved it will be filmed.

Well for starters, she wasn't with his dad when he passed. Second, it isn't her family. Her family is all obviously comfortable with being filmed. I understand everyone's own comfort levels and being wary of what rhe kids can and cannot consent to at their ages but can we all stop with the narrative that Jess is invading her uncle, mom etc privacy without their knowledge or consent? They clearly know she vlogs and consent to being filmed and would see her with the camera again, I'm not disputing whether these moments SHOULD be shared just that her family (im not talking about kids) are OK with it.

I think there is a big difference in filming someone at birthday parties, family gatherings and them knowing Jess brings a camera. But filming someone at their worst, on the worst day losing a parent doesn't compare. And that leading up to them getting to the hospital grammie was barely holding on (according to those text messages, which I also find weird to film, if I was a family member I would never want to text or call her because her first thought is pulling out the camera) but yet as soon as they got there she placed the camera putting on the gear. Although grammie is gone and may have supported her vlogging she used that thumbnail instead of just a picture of grammie.

I'm wondering what her next vlogs will be now. Will she eventually show the kids talking about grammie trying to process or will it be like it didn't happen and that one video? Judging by the views I have a feeling what she will do.

I was curious about Kaden too, he was kinda just chilling on the couch as Jess was comforting Lilia. She showed every other child upset and nothing of Kaden. That's telling because if he cried it would have been shown.

You have to be narcissistic for this to be your “job”. It’s narcissistic in and of itself to think people will be enamored enough with your families’ daily life for you to make a living. But plenty of people (like Jess) do make a living with it so yeah, you do end up “needing” to film things like your grandmother dying because it brings in the views and this is your job. Obviously everyone here thinks it’s gross but if this is your living, it is what it is. You made your deal with the devil when you decided to sell vulnerable, private moments to pay the bills.
