If you can prove the money went to your employee, the loan will be forgiven. These scammers are reporting that they are the employees in their business so they will not have to pay back the loan. With all the money Ruby and Kevin are bringing in, it amazes me that they choose to take advantage of this government loan since so many small businesses are truly in need of money and get rejected.sheltiefan wrote: ↑Wed Feb 03, 2021 4:08 pm From what I understand, you have to pay back the loans. I think this is there trouble spot when borrowing from the SBA with a PPP loan. 40K....come on Ruby. What a sad commentary for a financially well off family.ba1006 wrote:If you can prove the money went to your employee, the loan will be forgiven. In addition to reviewing applicable affiliation rules to determine eligibility, all borrowers must assess their economic need for a PPP loan under the standard established by the CARES Act and the PPP regulations at the time of the loan application. Although the CARES Act suspends the ordinary requirement that borrowers must be unable to obtain credit elsewhere (as defined in section 3(h) of the Small Business Act), borrowers still must certify in good faith that their PPP loan request is necessary. Specifically, before submitting a PPP application, all borrowers should review carefully the required certification that “[c]urrent economic uncertainty makes this loan request necessary to support the ongoing operations of the Applicant.” Borrowers must make this certification in good faith, taking into account their current business activity and their ability to access other sources of liquidity sufficient to support their ongoing operations in a manner that is not significantly detrimental to the business.

I just saw this and it reminded me of a certain someone. Ruby, this is what you are doing to your children. It is emotional abuse. I hope Chad and Julie write books.

Ruby's mad about possibly having to sleep on the floor because she ordered the wrong size of bed. Uh Ruby, you made Chad do the same thing for 6 months so you have no right to complain. She gave the custom designed, over-the-top bed frame to Russell and confirmed that his room is the designated hotel suite in the house.
Re: 8 Passengers: can't stop lying, freeze drying, or impulse buying! | Part 19
She gave her old bed to Shari a month or two ago (in vlog age), so this vlog was filmed quite awhile ago and not in order. She is soooo lazy and dumb!

Thank you so much for doing the research for us! This loan shit is utterly enraging me. Particularly from this family and Jordan Page, as all they do is flaunt their wealth, ignore the pandemic, and vote for Trump (lol). All I can hope is that this bites them in the asses down the line. The loan was simply too easy to get, they should have had to prove that their business actually needed it (I guess maybe they did have to? But it didn't work). At the VERY least, these people should have to pay it back, with interest. But in some of these cases where things are really sketchy and money was spent on lavish things last year (I don't care if it was "this" $100 bill or "that" $100 bill, if you get me) the offenders should get jail time.Kattiness Everdeen wrote: ↑Thu Feb 04, 2021 11:42 am Does anyone know the name of Kevin's consulting business?
I wonder if they "double dipped" and applied twice for the same "employee". Really triple dipped, because he already makes more than $100,000 in his day job at BYU. Actually quadruple dipped, because he also works at ConneXions with Ruby. Not to mention that they still make their normal money from vlogging that they always have. These fools could be taking up to 9 full "salaries" into their home, with 3-5 "salaries" being paid by the US taxpayer; they deserve to be in jail.
I wonder if it was Kevin they got rid of as an employee on their loan app, after realizing that it was public knowledge that he was still fully employed by BYU? Either way, they are still collecting all the money whether they paid "Shari" or "Kevin". I am guessing it was Shari, and that was part of the problem with her money being "stolen" from her account.
And I am sitting here trying to figure out where to go when I am evicted next month, and how to get a vaccination because I am high risk and have no healthcare. These people are the greediest mf-ers on the internet.
Even if there was maybe uncertainty as to their earnings back in April, what we saw pan out was that these families were not hurt AT ALL. Not that the Frankes ever would have been with Kevin's salary not changing. So since it turns out they actually didn't need the help, they absolutely should have to pay it back. Fucking scammers.

I listen to The Daddy Challenge Podcast live and he is suggesting to comment on the IG politely asking how they spent the PPP loan. It will push them to turn comments off and this impacts their income-->no comments decrease views resulting from changing the analytics.

All the Griffiths sisters turned their comment sections off long ago. You can leave a comment on their instagrams but you will be deleted and not allowed back on. None of them can take constructive criticism.YTIG60 wrote: ↑Sat Feb 06, 2021 8:08 pm I listen to The Daddy Challenge Podcast live and he is suggesting to comment on the IG politely asking how they spent the PPP loan. You're right. I was thinking this also and they don't need this PPP type advertisement especially after being accuse of exploiting and abusing your children.ba1006 wrote: ↑Sun Feb 07, 2021 6:26 amAll the Griffiths sisters turned their comment sections off long ago. Re: 8 Passengers: can't stop lying, freeze drying, or impulse buying! | Part 19
The DCP plan is to look who is doing brand or sponsor deals with the channels. He also plans to include Ruby's sisters. This might be a big deal. I heard a commentator talking about a high viewed rated program was pulled in spite of the popularity and the reason was the sponsors were too concern with the content of the program and the host. YouTube has in the past looked at sponsor also when they realized family channels were toxic to their platform.
It has to be a lot of viewers on IG (likely being deleted) asking about the PPP loan to result in what happened on Katie and Cullen's IG that forced them to turn off comments. Depending on the time a day viewers post comments, it could keep them up at night lookin for them.
But I also believe Katie addressed this situation after the DCP reached out to her and asked for comment about the vlog he was about to upload.
Super sad comments from DCP viewers who truly needed the PPP loan and didn't get it since they were not first in line like Ruby was.

Re: 8 Passengers: can't stop lying, freeze drying, or impulse buying! | Part 19
Shari should be hearing from BYU in about a week! I haven't watched any of them for a while now but I wonder if/when Shari will say whether or not she got in. If she does get in I expect we'll hear soon after, and I also wonder if she will just write off the other schools and not care about them since she just wants to go to BYU. It's sad because as the oldest Griffiths grandchild I think doing something new would set a great example to the rest that they can go anywhere they want and not be restricted to their Utah bubble, but if she goes to BYU I think it will encourage even more of the kids to limit their aspirations to just that school as well. Not that that should be a factor in her decision, I just mean it will be a byproduct of it.

I don't think she can, as the TOS for YT's monetization program requires someone 18 and over. I assume her parents claim her as an "employee" in their family LLC. There is another round of PPPs coming through right now though, it will be interesting to see who is bold enough to go in for a second hit.
Off-Topic: I just saw a news story where Utah parents got together to petition the school to let their children "opt out" of the black history month curriculum. I just can't anymore.

Wtf is blitz cleaning?! Don’t people just clean like normal human beings anymore? My kids know if their room is a mess, they clean it. If there are dishes in the sink, they go in the dishwasher. It’s not rocket science and you don’t have to start out in small time increments and work your way up. I seriously did a double take when Ruby walked in on the kids and asked Abby and Julie if they “are free for a blitz cleaning”

I think it is something Ruby used to sound creative (though there is a definition for it on google, lol). How many years has she been vlogging and how many times have we seen the kids cleaning (LOTS!!!!) but never has the word "blitz" been involved. So, it's something she just decided to use for vlog content, or they only "blitz" clean every 8 years. Even more stupid was having her kids validate how much they like to "Blitz" clean.freshbalsam wrote: ↑Mon Feb 08, 2021 7:32 pm Wtf is blitz cleaning?! Next she'll be showing the kids singing, "clean up, clean up, everybody everywhere, clean up....." while they pick up their toys. Oh, wait, they don't have toys.
