The PPP loans were based on the income in 2019. This was the last full time year of work that E&J had, and prior to their views falling drastically. They were also still podcasting. If they were able to argue they made more, they would have, meaning that on their taxes they paid an income to one another of $50k. They aren’t rolling in it. They may be building the new Ice Palace, but they aren’t rolling in money. They might have actually NEEDED to sell in order to get a little more cash flow. They are obnoxious af for taking out this loan, but this also shows some of us were right in our speculation that they were no longer rolling in money. Bonnie is making more ffs and still has her “normal” house. No wonder Jared is turning grey. Dude has hustle though, I’ll give him that. He’s managed to meet Ellie’s demands so far.

Make no mistake though, anyone making $150k a year and having spent the way they did during the 3-4 years they were making bank isn’t rolling in money. It’s gone. They are just desperately trying to continue working less while making more money to fund their showy identity. Jared needs the tech and Ellie needs the Ice Palace. They are addicted to the ego boost they get from the envy of others. Too bad they don’t realize people with actual money don’t care and can see right through that. They are no different from C&K.

You just plug in the vlogger name/business name and the state or zip where they live. They all use a different "industry" since vlogging isn't a real job. I found out about Jake Paul taking the $34,800 loan when I checked to see if any media outlets had picked up on the misuse yet.

Even knowing Jake Paul took a loan, I can't find the record on that public PPP site. I imagine there are so many more, that are yet to be found. I wonder if it was an error in their database, or they accepted money to disappear his record?

At the end of the day, why are any of us surprised by this. They have no issues exploiting their children for money, why on earth would they have issues scamming the government out of money that they don’t need, let alone deserve. The love of money supersedes any moral or ethical issues.

i think they must be buried in debt...& that is not a way i choose to live my life, i love my 3 bedroom bungalow in sunny orlando minutes from disney, universal, & sea world...i really think she is putting jared in an early grave with the amount of money stress she adds to his shoulders on top of the stress of just living with her!

I'm genuinely confused about how they can afford to build this mansion when their 2019 income from YouTube was only $50,000 each. Which is probably a lot less when you factor in the fact that they purchase their own health insurance. These were the same alarm bells going off in the Katie and Cullen thread when they bought their mansion, and surprise, surprise- they were on the verge of losing their house to the bank a couple years later. I just don't see the money from the cookbook and the online clothing store amounting to much. Aspyn Ovard has an online clothing store that is arguably more popular and more established and she has admitted that they don't make money from it yet. Granted, Aspen has a staff of people that she pays to run that business for her. But I think it's considered good for a new retail business to break even the first few years. I don't think Bollie is funding this house. I think they're probably blowing through their savings and putting every cent into this house with the expectation that Jared will magically be able to support Ellie's desired lifestyle with his production company. Which I think is just freelance filming and video editing services?

Jared and Joel have a company together, but it appears Joel is the primary.

The Logan “property” doesn’t show up as a holding of Jared or Ellie’s. I’m guessing they made Joel and Bonnie sell or buy them out.

They sold the Ice Palace to a trust in their names about 6 months before they actually sold it. It sold for $500k. Given how much money they put into it this was at a significant financial loss to them. Selling and moving was a terrible financial decision meaning that if they chose to do it, it was likely just so Ellie could manipulate Jared into another new build.

They have taken out a MORTGAGE on the new build for $960k!

You can't be serious?? If they got money back from selling their share of the land and business endeavors...with such a low income they can't manage a property of that size!! The taxes/utilities will be outrageous, not to mention furnishing it. Where is that money coming from???

It really is mind-boggling to me the way they dropped the ball with these house videos. Like, I guess they haven't gotten far yet, but the poor way they've done things so far makes it seem like this is how it will continue as well. They really had a good chance here to put out videos people would actually watch. But instead they are putting out a shit video every couple of months that is mostly them talking, Ellie smirking about getting whatever she wants, and no real content!

It's definitely a possibility that their absence could be because of pregnancy, or maybe another miscarriage. But I think mostly they're lazy and don't like to work.
