I found it pretty weird that Russell asked eve to be his valentine. That's not something siblings usually do. I also found it funny that shari wanted to wear some of Chad's things that he got for his birthday. I'm surprised ruby would be willing to return things that chad didn't want as I'm that if she did Chad would be punished for being ungrateful for his presents. At least Chad gets a birthday video.

True, but it was posted 10 days after Chad's February 2nd birthday. I guess it could be worse, with Bonnie posting a vlog about Joel's birthday this week when his birthday was January 31st.

Per today's vlog it appears that the only reason Russell asked Eve to be his Valentine was because a friend of hers had moved away and she was sad. After telling Ruby about this, he admitted he didn't know what it means when you ask another person to be your Valentine.

Was honestly surprised to Ruby make a cake from scratch for Chad, though. Knowing the way she generally treats Chad I fully expected she'd either use a mix or have Abby & Julie make the cake for him.

That's a possibility, but it's also possible that Ruby is straight up lying about Chad not liking desserts. We know she has an extended history of doing so. And I half suspect that Ruby is treating Chad so well is because now that he's 16 he can get his driver's license and she can have him do errands for her. If/when Shari starts college she'll probably be too busy, so it will be foisted off on Chad. Of course he won't dare complain because he'll be labelled ungrateful.

Also, are you all watching Ruby's What's Under the Rug YT psycho babble? They are ripping apart The 5 Love Languages book and in part 3 Ruby calls herself a "sex slave" I think it's funny that a book that has helped millions, written by someone with a Phd, is being challenged by 2 Mormon housewives who think they know better because they took a Connexions class. Pretty sure Connexions is an MLM for mental health

I'm surprised she hasn't threatened to take away the privilege of living in the house and make them live outside in the cold. A normal person wouldn't do this to their children but ruby would easily do this to her children. The kids basically have no privileges which is sad because they deserve to have a normal life. I don't know anyone who would take away the privilege of a bed and food.

Hmmm... so Shari still hasn't gotten her money back and Ruby said it was because it was transferred out of Shari's savings account into an account with Ruby's name on it. I do strongly suspect that Ruby did possibly steal the money from Shari and maybe is lying to her that it was someone else. I, mean, Shari is pretty gullible where she might believe that and I'm guessing Ruby had access to the account and the transfer must've looked pretty legitimate for the bank to refuse to refund it. Or maybe it's a scheme that they're both in on trying to double that money... I don't know, I really, really hope that is not the case because that would just be so evil (even for Ruby) if she really did steal her daughter's money, but her and Kevin are as greedy as it gets so...

I think shari is going to byu regardless as even if she doesn't get in her dad will bribe someone to get her in to byu because of his connections.

She is 100% going to byu and her dad has connections to get her in there. The other places she applied to are just for show. Her parents won't want her living away from Mormons but I think that would be a good thing for her to do.

I think most of them would look better with a bang (especially Eve), but for some reason the style is always long hair and no bang. I'm not "hair" shaming by saying that, but they clearly put a lot of weight into their outer appearance (it's everything to the Griffith girls) and you'd think they would want their hair to give them its fullest attractive potential.

Hell has frozen over. Ruby finally realized she is simply doing and saying everything her parents said and did, on autopilot. She decided to let Chad train to be a lifeguard, despite being told Griffiths couldn't lifeguard her whole life. If only this trend could continue and they could stop the cycle of mindless Griffiths disfunction. Imagine if every family was so selfish, refusing to ever serve in a life saving role because it might be hard on them if they see someone die? No lifeguards, no EMTs, no doctors, no police....

I was so glad to see that sweet moment in the kitchen with Chad and Eve where she pops up through his arms at the counter. I was worried that Ruby was going to destroy their relationship after her hard work gaslighting them, getting Eve to believe that Chad didn't love her and didn't want her in the family.

ETA: Knowing they have an ER nurse in the family makes me even angrier about how Bonnie has treated them in the past.

It certainly sounds like Ruby was using Shari's account as an extension of her own. It is possible that Shari wasn't aware and when she confronted her mother, Ruby lied, so Shari reported fraud to the bank. A bank is pretty damn good tracing money. They know it went into Ruby's account. If it was someone "using Ruby's name" that is also fraud and would be investigated and prosecuted if it wasn't actually her.

My theory is that when shit hit the fan, they panicked. They just got new expensive house with mortgage plus other frivolous expenses. They had a significant drop in ad revenue and any sponsorship seemed to be unlikely. Maybe Ruby went into Shari's pocket and didn't tell her. Maybe she wanted to return the money later (or not) but she didn't realize that Shari would find out. She had to lie to Shari in order not to lose face and now she cannot admit it anymore to Shari.
