Its Kaden but I 100% agree. And he was going until she picked him up the day he got in trouble (as did ALL of the boys - not even trouble but just not allowed to play fortnite). Then the next time he didn't want to go and she babied him about it. Then for Christmas he went because presents.

I dont agree with him staying home. Jess needs to be the parent here and not the friend.

The other boys are going. Their needs are obviously being met there, they arent being neglected or abused. I assume Jess could get in some kind of legal trouble for not sending him? Actually do they even have anything signed on paper?

The longer he doesnt go, the harder it will be when he does go again. She is alienating him from his other parent.

Oh, the issues I have with the idea that it should solely be on Mess’s shoulders to ensure her son’s father steps up and does his job as a parent.

But let’s skip that and go to the “their needs are obviously being met there,” part.

I think we can all agree, because we talk about it often, that Kaden seems to have issues that could be along the ADHD lines, could be along the ASD spectrum, or could be something different. Either way, it’s clear in the videos posted that Kaden seems to need more parenting than Kyson or Landen. His needs are different.

Did you know that in abusive homes, kids with special needs are more likely to be the target of abuse over kids who can conform and fit in? Did you know that kids who have difficulty settling down are more likely to incite the anger of their caregiver? Are you aware that even in a house where all the kids are neuro typical, there can be cases where one child is being neglected or abused?

Just because 2 kids seem to feel comfortable in the home of a man who CHOSE to be a stranger to them over the years, does not mean they are all comfortable there.

When I was growing up, my mom gave up my brother and I. She CHOSE to be a stranger during our early years. At different points, she was either more involved, or more absent based on who she was dating or married to at the time.

When I was 13, she married a guy with 3 kids of his own. By then, she had 2 more kids from 2 different fathers- we had 7 kids and 4 fathers in the blended family. That man was great with me. He took my older brother hunting and fishing. My younger brother was bullied by him- targeted because of difficulties hearing and understanding. He was often punished by being sent to bed without dinner, or deliberately left out of vacations with the family. He was 5 at the time. This man was wonderful to his kids, to me and my older brother, and to my 2yo sister. But he was awful to my 5yo brother for absolutely no reason.

My brother started crying to go home. He started skipping weekend visits (like my older brother and I, he lived with his dad full time, my baby sister lived with mom full time). He started to wet the bed when he was forced to come over.

There are no cameras in Drake’s home. No one is watching what happens. Kaden is showing clearly he is not comfortable at that home.

If Drake wants that to change, HE needs to step up and make those changes. HE needs to build the relationship HE chose not to previously have with his kids.

He has had 9 years to be a pet of those boys lives.

This has nothing to do with whether or not Messs should be forcing Kaden to do something he doesn’t want to do.
