Oh my GODDDDD. I totally forgot about Calvin's breathing incidents. I honestly forgot why I stopped watching them but that was it! She was in so much denial of something being wrong with him. It was scary and so harmful. I honestly think Ellie should've stopped at 2 kids, maybe even just had Jackson. I think her Mormon culture promotes mothers having 1000 babies, so she feels like the more kids she has the higher her worth is...but she should know her limits!

There is no other explanation that she was lying for attention. Anything for content, right.
Life of a housewife can be pretty mundane after all.

No mother would be so nonchalant about a child that stops breathing. That is like the biggest fear of any mother! Heck, I wasn't even mother when I took care of my baby niece: when she took a nap, I periodically went to listen to hear her and just to check that she is still breathing!!!

Ellie and Jared are building a 1m house with a failing YouTube channel. Their other YouTuber friends have moved into smaller homes or an RV. The new house building videos that they are haphazardly pushing out do not reach over 85k views. They’ve posted the “FINAL HOUSE PLAN REVEAL” 5 months ago and they’re still visiting houses to gather inspiration. Now, not just any neighborhood in Utah....these are the houses that go up to 5m! Funny how Ellie has no energy all year round until you bring her to places that revolve around big purchases.

I almost feel bad for them. These fools will never live a true happy life, must be exhausting when you’re always on the hunt for upgrades or having to fake being in love with your spouse. They should really look into getting an actual job or pick up hobbies that aren’t throwing money at useless land plots, online shopping, or taking PPP loans from someone who actually relies on their paychecks.

I confess that I actually resubscribed for the house content. I hope they will focus on the house content and not the life around it because it is boring

Bonnie's problem with the meth house reno was exactly that she mixed house content with her boring ass life and I had to skip to see the updates on the house when i could care less of her diet or children

Yes. You all sent me down a rabbit hole with that Calvin video, the amount procedures and tests she put that kid through is insane. I am writing up a synopsis of what I have found, but I can't find the end result to any of his many health crises. Was there ever a conclusion to the Torticollis saga, or the "seizures"/breathing episodes that I just missed in my search? Or did they let the storylines fade away?

Also, did Jackson get randomly taken to get diabetes tests and chiropractic adjustments like Calvin when he was a baby? Did Calvin "get better" when she got pregnant with Tommy? Did Ellie only get "sick" once Tommy was walking? So many questions.....

Okay I watched the new vlog:

1. Did they say they went back for another consultation at the "tonsil surgeon"? What else are they doing to that poor boy? They already took his tonsils because he had unrelated seasonal allergies, are they trying to get him a nose job next?

2. They made a little kid go through all that just because he has seasonal allergies? Many people do. Did they not try allergy medicine if he has suffered every day since he was 2? This is the most pointless procedure yet.

3. These people are ridiculous with their expectations/demands that a doctor will "cure them" on the first appointment. You'd think they didn't spend the last several years in doctor's offices.

4. I find it funny that Jared is scared of MRI machines. I fall asleep in them. He is such a delicate creature.

5. What is with this family and self diagnosing? Jared hasn't even seen the first orthopedic surgeon and he already scheduling appointments with multiple other surgeons? The MRI is inconclusive due to the metal pin in his hip obscuring the joint. Showing the result to 7 doctors won't suddenly make the images clear.

I just can't with these people anymore. Like Shari, Jared doesn't seem to understand that a radiologist's report isn't a diagnosis. The results need to be interpreted. A doctor knows far more than a teenager with Google and an insane ego. But hey, she got loads of content and attention chasing a self determined MS diagnosis, and that is what really matters, right? Just ask Bonnie about her mom's kidney transplant. It's the Griffiths family business now....medical exploitation!

I wish YouTube would actually do something with family vloggers that do this type of shit! No kid should be medical exploited so mommy and daddy can build a fancy 1 million dollar house! Is disgusting they get away with “normal” exploitation, let alone medical! Makes my blood boil!!!

I do like being subscribed because I don't like to search for the videos. Also, I typically avoid ads by skipping directly to end and replaying. That removes the middle ads altogether because Youtube thinks that you've already watched the video and can watch it again without ads.
(I still might get one when I skip to end but I don't really care.)
I don't have a moral issue with giving them one view, to be honest, I am quite indifferent.

I have never subscribed to a channel, nor searched for recent videos. The algorithm has always just been scarily accurate at putting the channels I have watched into my "recommended" section of the homepage the minute they are released, even if I haven't watched in a while, or if they haven't posted in months. It can even tell when I am after a specific topic, like Calvin's medical procedures. Just feeding me the next video without ever having to search.

Even if you don't mind supporting them through subscription, an ad blocker is worth the benefit of blocking intrusive ads throughout the internet. It changed my life. You can toggle it off if you do want a channel to get ad revenue as well.

I too had a feeling she was pregnant based off her IG stories, not that I would ever say that outside of here. But they’re at Julie and Landon’s house and Ellie said that she’d put on another 5 lbs and that Landon made a sweet comment about the way she looked. If she was actually pregnant I’m not sure she would mention that..? I dunno.

I don't think there is anything wrong with speculating about pregnancy or other life events on a gossip site for a family vlogger. Especially one that toys with viewers about this kind of stuff. However, there have been so many people on this thread certain she was pregnant over the last year or so, that I probably won't believe it until I see a sonogram now!

I didn't even know pregnancy makes noses swell until it was the hot gossip in these threads; is her nose bigger in the recent posts lol?

Ellie can't seem to properly care for the kids she has, so it will be a sad announcement if/when it comes for me. I hope she can be content with the attention and dopamine hit building another unnecessary mansion provides her instead. Also, do you think she will let Jared go through with surgery if the doctor recommends it? It sounds like a pretty serious recovery, and she barely makes it through the day when he is doing most of the work...

Speculating someone is pregnant when you have no idea to even think they are TTC is one thing, but we know they are TTC. I don’t think it’s out of line at all to speculate they could be pregnant.

I don’t watch them hardly at all anymore, but did I miss an announcement of some sort? I thought Ellie had said when they moved they were going to take a break from TTC and they had enough going on in the present and foreseeable future and she was still going back and forth on wanting another or not. Did they they announce they are TTC again? Dang, I really truly hope they don’t have any more. She can’t handle the ones she has already. Let Jared have his surgery and go through the recovery and physical therapy and all that will follow and get better before doing something else selfish for herself and adding more stress and responsibility (when she already lacks greatly in that department).
