JesssFam: Podcast w/ My Ex So We Can Talk About Sex (Pt 146)
Re: JesssFam: Podcast w/ My Ex So We Can Talk About Sex (Pt 146)
I know this is going to be an unpopular opinion but I actually appreciate that she cares enough to edit the videos herself, even if it is a control thing. I understand that if it is going under your name, you want to have creative control over it. I don't think the not showing specific stuff is a problem, she could give specific guidelines and review the videos.
Also, if she and Chris have a schedule and they split tasks and works for them... well I don't really see a problem if he prefers to clean at night and edit and she prefers to wake up with the kids. That being said I think the kids would do better a concentrate more if they had a more structured environment when they do school, always the same place, etc. Although I understand that is difficult with 5-7 kids, she made those decisions herself and the kids should not pay for them. She mentioned home schooling and I really really hope she doesn't, I think she does not have the structure or skills to do that at all.
On another note, I do think she needs to get Kaden evaluated for speech, I don't think it is normal to not be able to understand a kid his age. I think the baby talk is not helping them in any way shape or form, they are not babies, they haven't been for years now.
As for the constant replacement of toys, they should be taught responsibility and appreciation towards their toys and electronics. If they already have a hoverboard and it works properly, why get a new one? As has been mentioned, why not order online what Landen really wanted instead of having to get a toy this instant even if it is not what you want? I don't really get it.

"oh my god there's so much going on we're so busy it's crazy". Chris had to make a phone call to get the fountain fixed, Landon took a nap and Jess had to run to the pharmacy and... That's it. That's not busy, normal people can fit that in around both parents spending 8 hours a day working.

I don't think anyone cares she edits herself but don't say your the only one that can do it because your style is so different. Like someone said the meow over her awkward cuss words and the dings with her immature sexual jokes most (ALL) editors can do.
I do think she needs a schedule, because her editing next to Addie at 4AM is not good. What does she do all do all day that she's editing more than a few hours, if she's such a good editor she shouldn't take that long.

Landen's birthday came up from last year (the one where they ice the box making it look like a cake). And he got a hoverboard last year as well. Did all that stuff end up in the dumpster when they moved? The boys also had gotten electric scooters the Christmas before that birthday, but we have never seen them at the new house (and she bought new razor scooters the week they moved in).

Just watched the morning routine. She talks about being stuck as a prisoner in her own home since kids are in online school, THATS THE POINT! Please don't homeschool you have no routine or structure. Kids are all over and moving since there are no rules. Also highly doubt she has half a bagel for breakfast. And of course had to mention addie in private school a few times

Why can’t she have the kids change into clothes before their zooms? I had my kids get dressed every morning. It really helped them transition into the school day.

Did one kid only have carrots and goldfish for lunch?

I saw that as well! I’m not sure if other people make each of their children a separate lunch , but I think that’s insane. Why does she need to make 7 different lunches? She should make one lunch that everyone would like and if someone doesn’t like it they’re definitely old enough to make themself something different.Theyneedananny wrote:Did one kid only have carrots and goldfish for lunch?

Re: JesssFam: Podcast w/ My Ex So We Can Talk About Sex (Pt 146)
So I only have two kids, but when my husband is home and its a school day it is far easier for him to not help bc it breaks our routine and he gets in the way, or asks me stupid questions. That being said, Chris doesn’t work outside of the house, so his ass should be a part of their morning routine. They need to work on their schedules and stop staying up all hours of the night editing or whatever and get real sleep. Work while the kids do school.freebeegal wrote:She justified Chris not getting up to help with the kids by saying he’s grumpy in the mornings and he’s in charge of editing the podcast at night. The podcast which happens once a week and has been running for less than 10 weeks. What was he doing before this? I know he’s new to editing so maybe it takes longer than it should but there is no way he’s staying up to do that every single night of the week, he’s up gaming. No parent loves early mornings, but you suck it up and get up and put on a smile because that’s what you do for your kids. But clearly not if you’re Chris

I’ve never commented on jess’ weight before and really try not to. But she looked really big in the latest video. And trying to claim all she has is half a bagel until after 2pm... I mean maybe but you’re certainly making up for it later in the day

I wonder if this is why kaden is apparently so obsessed with money. i'd guess the older kids know that they have to do certain stuff or fake certain situations because its how their family makes a living. lilia and the twins are old enough to have watched the channel grow and see that the more they act for the camera the more they get. every event in their lives is monetized with no boundaries between vlogging and their real lives so of course they'd have a weird relationship with money.wasteoftime wrote: ↑Fri Mar 12, 2021 4:02 pm That sign for above her couch is the perfect example of the lack of boundaries and blurred lines between personal and work life. Addy is in private school? What, public school not good enough for her princess? No shame, if you put your kid in a private anything, but Jess out of all the people. She hardly does anything creative with her kids anymore, or teach them something, or even feed them properly, but "mY kId Is In A pRiVaTe ScHoOl". I hate parents like her, from the bottom of my heart. Kids, to people like her, are cuddly things when they're small and from then on they are accessories to brag with, or gain something from (like money and fame in her case).Jennabud wrote: ↑Wed Mar 17, 2021 7:19 am Just watched the morning routine. She has zero responsibility when it comes to Addy. With her other kids she at least tried doing something fun and maybe stimulate some kind of development (fun Halloween stuff, picture cards for Landen to pronounce, sport and games with the boys, Lilia getting almost overloaded with activities), but what does Addy get? She hardly talked until she was at preschool. She gets earrings and make-up, that's it. The rest the school gets to manage. It's a shame she isn't doing more things with her and I'm talking about more than just a spa day and some dance routine.

Re: JesssFam: Podcast w/ My Ex So We Can Talk About Sex (Pt 146)
Ok, so let me wrap up her video:
she gets up, gives them breakfast, doesn't dress them, brushes their hair, sends them off to their laptops. Then she makes sure that the kids stay on their respective classes, while Chris takes Addy to school. She refreshes herself in the meantime and gets back to watching her kids take their classes. After that she finds out Landen is not feeling well (ear infection, again), so he sleeps in her bed while she tries to get a hold on ear medicine. She gives them lunch (a bunch of prepackaged stuff that she puts on plastic plates) and feeds the animals (that she cut on a piece of kitchen roll, so no dishes). The fountain breaks, so Chris calls to get it fixed and then gets an Uber to pick up the car that he left for an oil change. The only thing left for her is to hop into the car and pick up the medicine.
What exactly is the difficult part about it? That you have to be alert to the entire morning? That's the average day for most people. She at least has a car, so she doesn't even have to put in the energy to get anywhere on foot, or by public transport.

Re: JesssFam: Podcast w/ My Ex So We Can Talk About Sex (Pt 146)
Hi new here.
I was lokey annoyed that Chris gets to stay in bed till 9am, I'm sorry but you're a partnership and you should both get up and help with the kids, it's not like he has a job or anything.
Also I'm loving The Dad challenge videos when he is talking about Jessfam, this is what shown me the light on how family vlogging is screwed. I just wish the families would come forward and talk about this issue with something other than the basic answer of "well if they don't want to be on camera I won't film". Like no hun, you're missing the WHOLE point of child exploitation.

Sorry I don't know how to reply directly to your comment yet lol.
But yes I hope he does because I know he will shred it to pieces, I hope he picks up on Chris being lazy and using the podcast as an excuse.

I think it all just comes down to what works for them since they are the ones dealing with the schedule. For us my husband is going to school and works part time. I work full time. so I set up mornings at 6am with the boys before I go to work and he wakes up at 8:45 to take over. And he helps me take over night time routine so I can unwind for an hour after I get home.JustanotherUKperson wrote:Hi new here.

Tbh I think chris is very hands on with the kids. He is solely the only reason Jessica gets to focus on YouTube stuff.

Of course she waited to do the morning routine when T&C were there. When really 7 kids isn't "normal" for her normal morning routines.

if she thinks zoom academy is too much work then good luck homeschooling. that takes a lot of effort to do well and truly give your kids a worthwhile education.
the video came off as very tone deaf and “poor me.” she has an income, a home, food, and happy kids. get over yourself jess. you have a very easy life, and that doesn’t mean you can’t complain, but you have to do it respectfully. jess doesn’t really seem to acknowledge or care that other people have it worse than her.
