I noticed that Lilia told her mom she could see her location (when she was in LA). Another example that, privacy and trust do not exist or matter in that family.

A lot of families use Life360 to track locations for things like sports, practice, going out with friends, etc. A lot of people I know use the app with their families, so I just assumed Jessica and her family were also using Life360. Did not seem weird to me.

Okay, so, I know I’m late, but I think either

I had commented recently (and before) about the kids’ unlimited internet access. And guess what? In one of the recent vlogs, Jessica showed Landen messing around on his computer, she checked it, and proceeded to catch him watching YouTube...

I about died when I was watching the vlog- either this was a super weird coincidence or I actually impacted her life. Don’t know which one but just felt like I needed to say this!

Okay sorry for posting so much, but I’ve been very very busy the past couple of weeks and I’ve missed YTMD. I felt like I needed to add a perspective to the DCP debate (is this the right word? Quarrel maybe?).

I love listening to DCP. I feel like he is bringing awareness by joining the gossip channel trend to get this message out to more people who may not always read YTMD. I don’t know if this was his intention, as I do not know him personally. However, whenever I looked for videos on family vloggers, there were just a few generic videos on why they were bad and whatever, but not much was specific and dissecting the vlogs. Let’s be real here: JesssFam stans don’t really read on YTMD unless they’re in the mood for “haters”, as they would call us, but they might be more likely to come across a DCP video because of the YouTube algorithm, thus taking the stans away from Jessica.

I used to be a JesssFam fan- gross, I know. I looked for other videos providing another perspective on Jessica, but I didn’t find anything. So, I went to YTMD and began reading here. Not all of her fans would be interested in following this path.

Again- not sure if this is quite what he wanted to do, but it might work. I know when I searched up JesssFam for her channel, a DCP video came up. Teenagers are curious and might be willing to listen to DCP’s good points.

Also, just a personal note: I love listening to his accent !

Oh, I’ve done that before. If one of my family members doesn’t answer the phone, I’ll sometimes check their location on Life360 to see where they are, and based on the location, I might have some context as to why they didn’t answer.

Although- you do make a good point, it could be learned behavior from the awkward Jessica/Chris dynamic.

I don’t like DCP as a person, he is actually quite annoying. But he does point out things that I would not otherwise have noticed and he is bringing awareness to child exploitation. I was surprised he chose Jesssfam as the family vloggers to attack first, as there are others who I think are worse, but now I can see how bad she is really.

I honestly don’t believe that Chris has any control over his own Instagram. His comment on her recent post about “loving her body” didn’t seem like something he would ever say. Also, bull shit messs did not love her body then and does not love her body now.

Honestly, I get that. He reminds me a lot of a little bit more mature version of Jessica, if that makes sense?

I personally like his personality, although that could be because I haven’t had a lot of social interaction because of the pandemic and seeing someone who is positive is a nice contradiction to the negative news media.

On iPhones there is a location sharing settings. Jess has talked about it before on how she tracks Chris. I don't have an iphone so not sure what exactly it is.

I just thought it was weird because Lilia is 10, if her mom doesn't answer her first thought was to check location, when I was 10 I would just call back. If I miss a call the person usually texts me. Not check my location.

I'm so glad I'm not the only one not feeling the Dad Challenge dude. I enjoyed a few videos...or rather, I like the parts of his videos when he calls her out and snarks on her like we do and I also like that the comments aren't just Jesssfans defending her or getting a disproportionate number of dislikes, but there are certain things he does that rub me the wrong way. I think he's pretty condescending and a bit old-fashioned in the way he thinks about certain things. I kinda think if he just stuck to watching and reacting to her videos it'd be better content, but only the extra entitled or cringey ones. We don't need him commenting on every single video she does (we do a fine job of that here lol) or reacting to her fans comments, that feels kinda like punching down and that never feels good. I'm honestly surprised he hasn't done the rude interaction with the Disneyland employee yet.

I think it's a bit overkill with his videos about her at the moment tbh. If his goal is truly to end family vloggers exploiting their children (and that's a big if because I don't necessarily believe that's his only goal) you'd think he wouldn't just focus on a few specific vloggers over and over and would expand his content to the genre as a whole. He either needs to watch more videos from other family vloggers and not just the ones he has already commented on or not watch them at all and comment on the community, rather than the individuals. I enjoyed the video he did with that psychologist about informed consent, more of that would be great and would prove that that is more in line with what he says his goal is. If he just keeps snarking on family vloggers, and especially if it's just the same ones again and again, that does not appear to be helping the cause that he says he's so passionate about. In my opinion he is just riding the wave of gossip and commentary channels being popular at the moment and his main goal is to be a youtuber, and it would just be an added bonus if he were able to shed some light on the harm in family vlogging.

Yessss!!!!!! Finally some one says it! Jeezzz! I’m so over the Dad challenge podcast channel! I loved his channel when he first started 10 months ago.
However, one he interviewed a guy that got engaged in a relationship with a minor, got her pregnant and married her, just for the sake of tearing down this particular vlogger. I was really uncomfortable. I called him out and was blocked.

It’s always his opinion or your wrong bye banned. He critiques others because as he says when you put yourself out there you open yourself to criticism. Yet he can’t take it. He isn’t accomplishing ANYTHING with the way he is running things. Only building an audience from shit talking. And it’s fine we do that here but if you want to start a snark channel then just be honest and call it what it is don’t try and Justify it by saying you are protecting the kids. Don’t mask your intentions just say it like it is. Your a guy calling people out and being petty at times. In the video he made commenting on The Panda Express situation where Jessica goes on an on about the “correct” light bulbs for YouTube when replacing the kitchen pendant lights he literally makes a comment about kaden “ That kid... I know we’re supposed to love all kids... NOPE!”

Like dude seriously do you really care about the kids?

I like what he says about exploitation and most people would agree with children having rights. But I can see with both eyes, that he can get quiet uncomfortable himself. He sees things in black and white, too often. Many things hit the nail on the head, but I think the small fame that he gets, goes to his head and he becomes more bold with his statements. Something tells me this will be his downfall, eventually. Sadly, because it started with good intentions. But very soon he will be this forum (so us basically) personified. The difference between him and us is, we don't get paid, he does. Sentences like "That kid... I know we’re supposed to love all kids... NOPE!” earns him money.

He should be really careful, that he doesn't become what he criticized in the beginning. Needing those children and their content in order to generate more income.

Very true, that’s a really good point that I’d agree with. I honestly don’t know if Lilia would be checking for context of locations if she doesn’t even understand the word “determination” in fifth grade (this might have come out wrong- not a reflection on Lilia, but rather on Jessica for using such a limited vocabulary around her children and constantly talking down to them). It’s probably learned behavior from Jessica.

Maybe she caught it but didn’t realize it because she was asymptomatic? I just cannot believe she would have been able to have all of those parties and everything and not have caught coronavirus.

RIGHT?! It’s so dumb. I’m just hoping Karma will eventually come back to bite her. Collapse of YouTube vlogging, maybe it’ll be found out that she is violating child labor laws when Caden and Lilia turn 12, her children will hate her in the future, or simply everyone will eventually find out the truth about her and won’t watch her channel.

Being a family vlogger might bring in the money, but you lose any self-respect and respect for your children as individuals. Jessica never respected them as individuals, though, and I believe her kids will see that someday.

When Lilia becomes a teenager, I see her channel going three different ways.
A.) Lilia gets pregnant and the channel becomes focused on both Jessica and Lilia- lots of clickbait here!
B.) Lilia doesn’t want to do videos but is bribed into doing them anyway and everything remains the same.
C.) Lilia finds everything online about her conception and how she was raised and either stays off of YouTube or speaks out against her family and vlogging.

Sadly, I feel as though her kids will be forced to stay in the public eye unless they themselves does something about it. I used Lilia as an example because she is the oldest.

She would be nowhere without her parents. They were the lock and key to everything. Her mother said in the very beginning, "well, you have a license, you're about to graduate, you want to go to college, you're basically on the verge of being an adult, sh*t happens, it's alright". She didn't have any stable life until 2016, when Addy came in. That's 6 years of waiting for her daughter to get a stable relationship.

Not sure how this works in other states, but my state was encouraging people to look farther away from where they lived to get the vaccine because a lot of places were completely booked. If she lived in my state, she wouldn't even be able to get hers until next month though since they're doing it by age group.

Kind of disgusted at the way she talked about it. She was jealous that everyone else got theirs. Well, yeah Jess, your mother is a teacher and your brother is a firefighter so of course it was necessary for them to get it sooner. And the comment about surviving covid times...I can't even form a proper sentence to respond to that right now. I might be overreacting but Chris joking that he had a reaction to it was just wrong.

I still stand by in my opinion, that the DCP is doing more good than he’s doing harm. Is he perfect, no. I also don’t think he had any idea what he stumbled upon when he discovered Mika. For him it is personal, For him these topics are traumatic. I would guarantee that he can see himself in these children, And that probably drives him to continue. I’ve said way worse things about Jessica I have no room to judge him.
