I wonder what Ruby's kids think about the fact they haven't seen their cousins in months??? They have to be wondering why they are not getting together anymore.
It's only a matter of time that the kids figure out Ruby and distance themselves away from her.

Personal: I grew up with a mother like Ruby. When we (all 8 of us) grew up, NONE of us came back to visit for any length of time, and most of us didn't have anything to do with her until her death, and she died alone. I can see Ruby following this path.

Picture from Ruby's IG today with what feels like an ad for this store. I'm not super clued into today's teen fashion, but this is not a great look. First of all, I didn't realize just how much Julie is towering over Shari. She's probably 5'4" now, and I bet Shari secretly hates it.

Like those terrible shirts she bought for Abby and Julie several weeks ago, these shirts here don't fit them well and don't look very "modern", for lack of a better word. Reminds me more of something a middle aged woman from many years ago would wear (no offense to middle aged ladies!).

I've noticed from skimming a few vlogs that Abby has been wearing a couple of those ugly shirts from several weeks back (that she didn't like), so I guess Ruby doesn't really give them much choice. Then again, Abby and Julie don't go to public school or hang out with their peers a lot, so maybe it's no big deal to them as far as what they wear around the house. I swear, she just springs these clothes on the girls and expects them to love them and be 'grateful', when it would be much better to let them take the lead in walking around a store and make their own choices, with a bit of Ruby input where needed (e.g. shorts or skirts that are halfway to being underwear).

As an aside, she responded to a comment asking about her Ruby Doo clothing line, blaming the failure of Ruby Doo on COVID as well as "cancel culture" (her words). COVID supply issues sure, but LOL at cancel culture. And yet, Bollie is still going strong!

They look like small town middle school teachers that are going to meet up at Applebee's for happy hour then head to a Thirty One or Scentsy party. She needs to stop buying them clothes from Loft and J. Crew and let them shop at Aero and American Eagle, etc.

Ruby basically forces all of her kids to go to byu and they would probably get punished if they wanted to go elsewhere and lose basic privileges as well. She only looked at other colleges for extra content.

Also, I'm not on here to shit on conservatives. Everybody is entitled to their beliefs even if I don't agree with them, but I just want more for these kids who have no idea what life is like outside of being mormon.

That's hilarious that she talks about "cancel culture" and "restricted speech", when Ruby is utterly terrified of different ideas, and their buddies April and Davy were trying to get Netflix canceled over that "Cuties" movie. And BYU has a VERY restrictive culture. My high school best friend went there-- (long story). And she used to walk around listening to The Pretenders and Prince on her headphones thinking about how her classmates' heads would explode if they could hear what she was listening to.
Not slamming conservatives either, but the religious right is all too familiar with trying to get ideas that they disagree with "canceled".

I hardly think Shari will continue with law school, IF she were to qualify. I don't know much about it, but wouldn't you need a more open mind than what Shari seems to have? Maybe there is hope she will eventually begin to "think outside her mormon bubble," but my guess she will have a beau by her junior year (is that enough time for a guy to have returned from his mission and meet Shari?) and will drop out to marry shortly after. Or, she will finish school and shortly after marry. It's great that she is dreaming and has the goal of law school, but I don't see her going after 2-4 years of college, she knows the plan and that includes marriage and babies.

A vlog from Easter 2015 showed up so I began watching......how in the world does your toddler end up in a full tub of water, fully clothed, and you aren't aware of it happening? Ruby complaining that its the last clean outfit she had to put on Eve. Perhaps if you weren't such a negligent parent, you would have caught your daughter before she got in the water. How have they managed this long with kids being safe?

Oh how I wish one of the kids would speak up and tell her it's awful... I wish the hairdresser had told her it was going to look bad on her... she looks like she's 45 years old, with a little girls haircut IMO. It just doesn't suit her at all. She should have went with layers, framing her face.. She also should stay out of the sun/use sunscreen on her face.

Now Ruby's sister, Julie is having a reveal party with the family according to her IG. Well I know her parents are there and Ellie was talking about they were on a road trip yesterday so I assume they were there too. Let's see if Ruby is there because it is obvious up till now something is up with Ruby and the family.

Hmm, I skipped over Russell and Eve, because who cares, but everyone else made it clear they didn't like it, even if they weren't mean/rude about it. I actually love that Abby and Julie were honest about it. I think they're going through the same phase that Shari and Chad went through as they got a bit older and understood just how bad/dumb/crazy/etc their mom is (at least in some ways). They'll become more willing to call Ruby out or voice a negative opinion relating to her, like Chad and Shari have done before several times.

Also, now that I see Ruby's hair again, it seriously looks like when a hairdresser (or your mom when you're little) messes up the intended cut halfway through and has to do something drastic to make it look halfway decent.

Other siblings were there, Bonnie, Ellie and even Beau, but no Ruby and family. Easter will be very telling, they always get together then, except last year, due to COVID.

Apart from the ridiculous message, the title of Shari's presentation is really clunky. I read it several times and I still can't quite get it to come out smoothly. I know I sound super snobby here, but I guess I feel that if she's going to go on about the benefits of private schooling, then I would hope those benefits would be reflected in her writing. Alas...

This year the LDS General Conference is this weekend so they may not get together because of that. Something is definitely up with the Griffith family!

Shari was pretty blunt about Ruby's haircut too, with the comparisons to Edna Mode and Lord Farquad. But she doesn't consider herself one of "the kids".

I can't stop laughing at her bad haircut. She looks like a demented member of a cult (which is actually kind of close to the truth). Maybe she should ask her sisters for some of those ugly Bollie cult dresses.

Shari's 'thesis' is little more than a parroting of the concepts of that book 'The coddling of the American mind', which is basically her parents favorite book. I doubt that Shari is even capable of anything close to independent thought.

Chad and his date looked great in their pictures although I bet Ruby hated his date's 'immodest' dress. It must really chap Ruby's ass that Chad chose to attend a non-LDS school and has done really well. Hopefully he manages to get well away after high school before they attempt to bully him to go on a mission.
