Ooooorrrrrrrrr….maybe the didn’t get a Freebie but they want one since they went OTT on tagging them on IG and Talking only positive things about the staff. We stayed in a hotel in Dubai in February and the waitress also remembered our coffee orders at breakfast. It didn’t make me feel THAT special. I just thought she was doing a good job. Maybe I should be more appreciative. But to be honest, the guy on reception at the place where I get our car serviced also remembers where we go skiing each year. I also just think he’s a nice guy who is attentive and doing a good job.
I reckon the Rich family needs sponsorship as they can’t afford the lifestyle they have bragged about. Kendal needs to do to Disney. Notice how they haven’t stayed in a Disney hotel for a while. I reckon that you are correct! In a video 4 years ago, Disney invited them to a big conference at Disney for family vloggers and they decided not to go because Disney would only pay for Kendal, Daniel, and 3 kids. They wouldn’t go because “the rich life is a package deal”. At the time, Hampton was 3 or 4 and Sebi was 5 so they could’ve left them home since they were too young to benefit anyways. I think that ruined their chances for Disney. I’m sure Disney has a massive list of potential people to sponsor and it probably doesn’t take much to be taken off the list. They have hundreds of people they could choose instead.

There’s some pretty big changes in their lifestyle if you look back a couple years. They used to do big no budget shopping challenges at the mall including pricier stores like Nordstrom and now all their hauls are from SHEIN which is super cheap fast fashion. Also a lot of their no budget shopping challenges these days are at Five Below. I think they were doing well for awhile but I think they’re struggling financially for a few reasons: 1) their views are LOW, 2) Daniel isn’t working and he used to be an engineer and I know that (at least in my country) engineers make a good salary, 3) overspending. Once they started having more money to spend, their spending went up drastically. I’d wager that they way overspent and are now in debt and house poor because of a mortgage they can’t afford.

Also Kendal spending so much to keep up her appearance- fake nails, fake hair, Botox and fillers cost a lot of money. Also, letting Evie follow in her footsteps is such a waste of money - but for them looks is more important than an education or being nice to people. They are the epitome of insecure.

on a recent Instagram story, Kendall posted that Evie was a great cook and a great baker… LOL! EV doesn’t cook… She takes things out of a package and microwaves them. She also doesn’t bake… She follows instructions from a premade mix and has openly admitted that she has burned brownies, burnt cinnamon rolls, or a ton of things that she was trying to make to just didn’t come out right. Kendall… Stop trying to make it sound like your kids are amazing. They are average at best.

They all vie SO hard for their mother’s attention but have no interest in their dad at all. From their old videos and Kendal’s old blog posts, he was very involved with disciplining the kids like staying home from work one day to hit EV all day into submission. I also noticed that when he would get home from work (back in the North Carolina days), he always put the girls to work whereas it seemed that when they finished school for the day, Kendal just let them run free and play. Literally as soon as he walked in the door, he’d be making them clean the house and other chores that weren’t appropriate for their ages. The tension between him and his daughters was there in the old vlogs but has intensified significantly over the last 4 years that they’ve been filming.

I definitely think the girls are a bit awkward around Daniel but not because he’s overbearing. I see their reactions as those of embarrassment. He is trying very hard to be an enthusiastic family vlogger but he just can’t pull it off and his commentary is very cringey. I’d say he’s under Kendal’s thumb and she tells him when and what to vlog but it just doesn’t come naturally to him. Also, the kids probably don’t see him as the breadwinner. In the end, he QUIT his job and now he’s bossed about by their mother. The kids possibly respect their mother more and see her as the reason they ‘are living their best lives’. I don’t think they’re afraid of Daniel. I just don’t think they enjoy being in his company on the vlogs because he’s trying too hard to be someone he’s not.

Side note: Evie’s Tiktok about ‘how’s your year been’…and the lyrics are ‘I’ve lost so many friends’. She has lost many many friends because of her own behavior and because Kendal has trained them to immediately ditch people as soon as there’s a problem with the thoughts that these people are jealous/inferior/immature/not worthy of being a friend of Evie’s. She lost seeming all her Fire friends with the exception of Caitlyn (who we haven’t seen in a while) and although there’s apparently no drama in Flip City, there’s been a noticeable absence of Gigi and generally speaking all Evie’s ‘new’ friends. Maybe Kendal does read here and has taken note that many of the girl’s friends are Influencer wannabes and should not be given airtime.

I think your observations are great as well! I think their opinion of their dad is two fold. I think when they were younger kids and he was the breadwinner. I don’t think he was ever the main disciplinarian, I think Kendal has always taken that role, but he stepped in when her “training” of the kids just wasn’t enough, she’d call in the reinforcements and that was Daniel. I think now that they’re teenagers, I think what you wrote makes a lot of sense. There’s definitely embarrassment in there for sure. When their dad is doing stuff, what they once thought as funny as kids they now see as cringey. That’s a pretty normal teenager thing to think your parents are embarrassing of course but I’m sure his awkwardness yet desire to be that cool family vlogging dad is a big point of embarrassment for the girls. It’s a complex issue and I don’t think one thing can explain it completely. There’s many things at play in their relationship with their dad, I personally think that includes my observations but yours as well. This is why psychology is fascinating!

Aloha has a point., pre-Florida their parents were radical fundies & yes, they most definitely hit those kids. As Aloha pointed out, Kendal prided herself on the all-day spanking session. Much as Kendal would like to erase these memories from her children’s minds, she will never be able to. They’re there. Forever. So yes Aloha, I think subconsciously, all five of them resent Daniel for the fear he once instilled (in the name of God, of course).

& Glass? Your point is dead on too! Now that they’re grown, oh man are they embarrassed! Wouldn’t you be? If your father quit his job (forgoing the medical insurance for his kids that accompanied that job) to be a dead-beat loser, relying on them for his income instead – wouldn’t you be embarrassed? You said they probably don’t see him as the bread winner anymore. Yea, they definitely don’t see him as the bread winner anymore, lol! They know who butters the bread in the family now; them.

So, while I think both of your view points are 100% accurate, I don’t think the kids respect their mother more and see her as the reason they ‘are living their best lives’. I don’t think they respect either one of their parents. I think they see Kendal as a ticking bipolar time bomb. I think they are forever walking on egg shells with that nut. They know exactly what to do & say to appease her, in order to derail her meltdowns & are they ‘living their best lives’ really? They’re living Kendal’s version of a best life, not theirs. Kendal wanted to move to Florida, so they had to move to Florida too. Kendal loves Disney, so they have to love Disney too. Kendal decided to do YouTube, so they have to do YouTube too. Kendal likes to eat out, so they have to eat out too. Kendal, Kendal, Kendal. If anyone of them actually said out loud “I hate Florida, I’m sick to death of going to Disney, I don’t want to do YouTube anymore” or asked their mother to actually cook family meals, that would (for sure) bring on one of her manic meltdowns.

That's not living their best lives, that's living very sad lives in the shadow of a whack job.
