Sorry for all the posts in a row. I have so many thoughts on this cheer vlog:
1) Who eats donuts for breakfast before a competition? Who eats donuts for breakfast in general? Their eating habits are terrible. I think I’d throw up if I ate a donut before competing
2) why was Brin sitting in her bed brushing her teeth? I don’t understand how that would even work lol. Where do you spit? How do you wet your toothbrush? So many questions
3) it’s odd that at 17 years old EV still has her mom do her hair and makeup. So many athletes younger than her get themselves ready to compete
4) why does Kendal still need to put tape on the girls’ faces to do their eye shadow? You’d think getting 3 girls ready doing cheer makeup for over 2 years that she’d be good enough to not need to rely on tape. I’d be so annoyed having tape on my face if it were me
5) in the same vein, the girls’ eye makeup is terribly unflattering, it makes their eyes look small and squinty like it feels like you can’t even see their eyes. I understand that there is a certain way they need to do their makeup but their teammates’ makeup looks so much better. Yami did cheer makeup for the first time and did a much better job than K
6) it’s a shame that KD IMO are raising their kids to be sore losers. Kap and Brin didn’t seem upset or at least not as much as KD after day 1… that’s pretty bad when the parents are more upset about their “unfair treatment” than the athletes
7) if they don’t want people to find out EV has a boyfriend, they need to stop filming him with them so much like at the comp
8) I already said this but they need to be careful bashing varsity so publicly…
9) Daniel cut off a coach to run through the tunnel of people after a performance that wasn’t even his daughter’s team. I find it rude he does the tunnel thing in general but especially rude to cut off someone actually involved in that team
10) Brin and EV hugged after Brun’s performance on day 2 and it was the most awkward thing ever… you could cut the tension between the two of them with a knife… I think Brin is very tired of EV’s crappy attitude
11) it’s dumb to lie about hitting 0 when we can easily go see if it’s true or not (which it wasn’t)
12) Kendal just seems IMO to be jealous of Top Gun… maybe because they can’t afford it, maybe because she knows her girls would be on a very low level team because they aren’t TG level athletes, maybe because FC doesn’t come close to the caliber and recognition that Top Gun has
13) again, what is with the pyjama pants? Put some sweatpants or something on, leave the PJs for home. It’s not cute, it just makes you look lazy. When you’re in uniform, you represent not just yourself but your whole gym; put a little effort in to what you wear to give a good impression of their gym
14) Brin’s self esteem seems to be getting lower and lower. I know that’s normal as a teen to an extent but K and EV have very low self esteem still and I think it’s rubbing off onto Brin. She seems very withdrawn and doesn’t say much these days. I wonder if she’s starting to see the toxicity in her family. It seems like she’s been feeling as though she is being treated unfairly like being the only one who had to buy her own lululemon stuff and asking them to wait to watch a movie or show with her and they don’t bother waiting and just leave her out
15) in Kendal’s eyes, her girls all deserved first… just like the moms from other teams too. Everyone has at least a bit of bias towards their family members
16) why is it okay that they film and post almost the whole routine of other Flip teams but not their kids’ teams?
17) with the confidence she has in Flip’s teams doing well at Cheersport, Ken is in for a ride awakening
18) do we think all this karma stuff is about EV having a new boyfriend? I’m sure he’s probably just a rebound to make Cam jealous but I really can’t see it working in her favor. I agree with whoever said this, that she’s going to be a serial dater. She’s been boy obsessed practically since the start of their channel
