Why does this family get uber delivery so much!? It's such a waste of money!! You pay like an extra $10 to have it brought to your house instead of going to get it. They live like 10 mins from a Starbucks!!! Go out and GET IT! They're wasting money due to being lazy. I know they aren't just dripping in cash either; it's not just like they have so much money it doesn't matter. It's a felt purchase. Kendal mentioned how they hide from Daniel that they do it since he hates it. I WONDER WHY? He knows it's a waste of money! He just has no backbone to actually have a serious talk w/ Miss Queen Kendal about it. In today's video with tackling EV's room, K and EV got uber eats Boba Tea, and apparently it took well over an hour to get there. She could've just went out and got it in that time. I definitely wouldn't do uber again after that! However, she did get a refund for how long it took.
As for EV's room, in the video, they were pulling out all of her clothes to go through them. You could see the broken dresser drawers in the video! Of course they will be right on replacing it. Kendal seemed to be blaming the dresser for being cheap and not well constructed. Didn't they just say Evie broke it!? They are so confusing and misleading. I'm sure Kendal is trying to cover it up that she broke her furniture.
It shouldn't be a surprise that it broke easily, anyway. She showed it on Walmart's website..a whole dresser for $150!? Invest in quality furniture instead of a third pair of Gucci slides, Kendal!! It's no wonder Evie easily broke it. **disclaimer: (I'm NOT saying it being cheap and and likely lower quality makes it OK for EV to mistreat it AT ALL) Aside from the dining room set and couch purchase from right when they bought their house,(when views were up) I've noticed everything is really low end and cheap. It screams house poor. That, and the way it's severely under-filled and empty.
BTW..while the bed in closet thing has a cool look, it isn't functional AT ALL. That small bedroom needs storage desperately..might be time to make the closet usable again.
I’ve noticed she has said multiple times in the last blogs that they were buying stuff behind Daniel’s back because he doesn’t approve. I wonder if he’s trying to save them from bankruptcy but Kenny isn’t willing to change her “rich” lifestyle. For awhile, a lot of vloggers were doing “what I spend in a week” videos and I would LOVE to know what they spend in a week. They amount of money they waste on restaurant food and delivery which i’m sure is astronomical. There’s so many small changes they could make that would save a ton of money but they’re too lazy to do it. Like you said, Daniel isn’t brave enough to tell her to get her act together when it comes to shopping. I’m sure she’d just brush it off and say they *needed* it like when Brin needed black leggings for her Summit Bid party but they had to buy lululemon ones instead of a cheaper option. Daniel’s balls went missing a long time ago. I think it’s time he offer a reward for whoever finds his missing balls (kidding of course).
The dresser thing makes me angry. EV is old enough to respect her house and her belongings, not destroying dressers and the guest bedroom’s bed frame… I would never have done those things as a kid. EV seems to think money grows on trees so it doesn’t matter if she breaks or loses something, her best friend Kendal will replace it, no biggie! Me and you are on the same page; yes it was a cheap dresser so more likely to break BUT that doesn’t mean it’s okay to not treat her belongings respectfully. Many people use dressers like that for handfuls of years and it manages to stay in one piece that long because they’re careful. Gucci slides with the Walmart dresser makes SO much sense *insert eye roll here*
What EV needs is a coach like mine I had growing up. I was thinking about it last night and if her parents aren’t going to raise her, it’s too bad she doesn’t have an adult parent figure in her life. I did martial arts and there was a HUGE focus on discipline. Maybe it’s the same in other sports but I only did martial arts so that’s all I know. Anyway, from the time you start taking classes, you’re expected to keep your room clean, make your bed, respect your home and elders, and do nice things. When I started in second grade, at the end of every single class, they would ask us one by one if our bed was made and our room clean. Usually the parents stayed to watch so they’d confirm with them and, if they didn’t do these things, you got 20-50 push-ups or burpees, age dependent. They say if you’re old enough to do martial arts, you’re old enough to help out around the home. Some classes, we’d be told to do 3 good deeds before the next class and would have to share them. Even when I tested for my black belt as a young teen, I was asked by our grandmaster who came all the way from Asia to evaluate the black belt students if I made my bed before I was awarded my black belt. EV’s parents won’t hold her accountable for this stuff so I wish she had someone else in her life who would; it would be so good for her growth and maturity. Teenagers and kids need discipline; not physical discipline or being grounded or punishments but just someone to make rules and hold them accountable to these things that will help them grow into good people who take care of their stuff and contribute to society in a positive way.
I thought the bed in the closet thing looks cute but she’d have been better off buying a new closet organization system than a dresser. It would’ve given her the room she needed. Even better, they could’ve gotten doors to cover it, simple as that. I know she hated the closet system and said it was a piece of crap but it seemed to have plenty enough storage for her. Why not just cover it with closet doors? That’s what I would’ve done. Redecorating is fun and all but it can’t just be your “aesthetic”, it needs to be practical too. Doing what they did will decrease they worth of the house because now there’s a closet with no doors nor bars or any sort of organizational system. They have said it’s their forever home but they should still pay attention to increasing the equity of their home, not decreasing it. IMO, they haven’t added any equity to the house whatsoever.
. EV may have a nice side but she only seems to show it to her mom so I struggle to believe it. I would bet a lot of money that she’d never do the same for her father (just wait, EV will buy him something with his money in the next vlog). They seem to give her unfettered access to their credit card and she admittedly spends a lot.
