Ok now I rewatched and saw Kapri. While I don’t think she’s actually calling her grandmother fat and ugly, she is definitely talking to Daniel and doing the ‘your mom’ thing which no one understands. She has taken ‘your mom’ to another level and made it sound even worse. The reason I don’t think she’s even thinking of her grandmother is because when Daniel in previous videos asked what Kapri is doing and she says ‘your mom’ we also don’t think she was referring to her grandmother then. It’s obviously just something she says….but it’s just stupid and senseless and proves those poor children are totally out of touch with the intelligence and emotions of people in the big open world

I agree with this.. I don't think she was saying Danny's Mom was "fat and ugly" but, I also looked all over and couldn't find anything (maybe someone else could??) about a tiktok referring to a Ricco being fat and ugly. So, there's also that. It could just be Kapri's warped humor, she is a tween and tweens are kinda weird.. especially nowadays. At the end of the day, we aren't in her mind.. I am going to give her the benefit of doubt and say it wasn't a dig at her Grandma, as she does seem to love and honestly care about her. /shrugs

I scrolled through the vlog just to see what it was they were franchising... I didn't want to see if Kenny moaned over the donuts, like she did with Crumbl. Y'all will have to let me know! I do however, have some thoughts on DD vs Crumbl.. I think DD will actually do better than a Crumbl would have. Yes, Crumbl seems to be all over the place.. tiktok, IG, FB, etc... but, cookies shops are popping up like crazy right now. Whereas, donut shops, not as much. And one where they are made fresh to order, is even more rare. HOWEVER! This is the Rich family, and I don't know how well THEY will do, unless they staff these franchises VERY VERY well, and THEY know what they are doing themselves! What was all y'alls thoughts when they said it was a DD franchise?

Just checked in today's video, and as pelican said they chose Duck Donuts...which I certainly wasn't expecting. Has she been to duck donuts once in her entire time in FL? I don't recall moaning over donuts ever. Wonder what brought Duck up to them. Just checked online and the only one semi- in their area is in Boca Raton.. I don't think they have even eaten it in years! I can see how they think it could work out where they live since there aren't any locations, though.

Found some reasons as to why it may have been attractive to Kendal as well..only $150,000 is required to start the franchise, which is quite low compared to almost anywhere else. My guess as to why they got approved no problem even without any experience is that franchise owners of Duck tend to make less. Most Duck Donuts franchise owners make around $130k, when at chick fit a for example, owners make around $200k. (All averages, of course.) Seems Duck doesn't produce quite as much revenue as a chick fil a or something, either. It's just smaller in general.

I'm with Pelican on the loan/ grandparents thing. They definitely didn't just have $150k just sitting. It's obvious they've been starting to struggle, and if they had that, they wouldn't be worried over purchases like furniture and Kendal's hair. K is also an impulsive spender, so if she had it, she'd flaunt it. She would've probably bought her car by now or more tacky rhinestone Gucci. LOL. Speaking of sunglasses, her recent sunglasses she's been wearing are just atrocious. She picks the tackiest and ugliest glasses on the rack!

P.S. Kendal needs to slow down. I think she's way ahead of herself with the two locations thing before the first one even opens. See how one does first before going further in debt!!

She is so ignorant to the fact that so many people work their butts off day and night and still don’t have as good of a life as them. Her complaining about not getting rewarded for her “hard work” which is absolutely not hard work is disgusting considering the fact she doesn’t have a real job and has to put no effort into making her money. Don’t blame youtube for your downfall Kenny, you’re the one who puts no effort into videos and you should really thank youtube because you would not be where you are right now without them.

In todays IG story K says they put no matter how much blood, sweat and tears they put into videos, they will never get rewarded for it. Kendal you absolutely do NOT put “blood sweat and tears” into your youtube videos. All you do is pick up the camera and go to crumbl and cheer. Of course you won’t get a “reward” (money) for your lousy, boring, no effort videos. You don’t just get to put out the same video everyday and expect a good return, that should be obvious. She is so ignorant to the fact that so many people work their butts off day and night and still don’t have as good of a life as them. I'm honestly wondering if Kendal is capable of doing anything differently without having an anxiety attack. Remember, this was a woman who was afraid of Trader Joe's.

I have questions about this donut shop thing. A). What ever happened to Kendal's gluten intolerance? Didn't she blame her migraines on gluten? B). A lot of the world's wheat comes from Ukraine and Russia. The wheat that we produce here in the US is dependent on fertilizer from Ukraine. Ukraine also produces a lot of the world's sugar beets. It seems to me that a donut shop might be especially vulnerable to supply disruptions. Am I wrong?

Supply disruptions AND inflation. Not to mention the exorbitant price of commercial real estate that they will have to pay for their lease will eat into their profit margins.

I feel you lemon. I’m not a huge fan of how most of the kids act but I also don’t want them going through the experience of their parents crashing and burning and potential bankruptcy. How would Kenny make her kids love her if she can’t buy their love with lululemon & bath and body works?!

I just can’t get over the fact that they bought two. That’s nuts!!! Their going to open the second a year later but what if the first one doesn’t even make it a year? Than they’ll have lost all the money they sunk into the second location because they’ve already bought it. Like Pelican said, supply chain issues and inflation plus expensive real estate is not a good combination, not great timing to find success.

Have they even ever eaten duck donuts? I’ve never heard of this company because I think they’re just American but I’ve never heard the Riches mention it.

On another note, in the vlog where EV’s friend Payton was there, did anyone else notice that, when talking about EV and Payton’s sleep over, Kenny kept saying *we* had fun, *we* had such a good time? Kenny can’t even let EV spend time alone with a friend. It seems like EV is spending more time out of the house, presumably with her friends, I can’t blame her if I had my mom crashing every hang out or sleepover. She acts like a teenage and treats EV’s friends as if they’re her best friends too. I’ve also noticed this with the other girls. One time when Madi & Jalyn had a sleepover with Kap and Brin and the 4 of them plus Kenny were watching a horror movie marathon together. Let your kids have their own friends!!! If she keep smothering them, they won’t want to have people over and will go to their friends place instead. By Kenny pulling them in so close, she’s pushing them further away.

Last thought, Kap has really turned into a “mean girl” type over the last month or two, especially when she took over EV’s role of Kenny’s favorite. She always has this unimpressed look on her face and is rude and impatient with everyone except Ken of course. It makes me sad to see her falling further down this trap.

I’m 40 years old and I’m not friends with teens. I’m more friends with my own age group plus my mom’s friends. Kenny is reliving her teen years with her daughter’s. Gross!!

Yes I did notice that Kendal kept saying that ‘we’ had fun. And it immediately was obvious to me that Kendal needs her children in order to feel like a valued person. If we arrange something with a friend who also has teenagers then we all might have fun as a group but if our girls have friends over WE do not get involved in their activities.

As for Duck Donuts…. I’d never heard of them til Kendal said it but I don’t think it would be a viable option anywhere in Europe. We already have Dunkin and other donut shops have come and gone but nowadays people want healthy options, not donuts. The shops and franchises that do well in this country and in Ireland (where I come from) are those that offer salads and vegetarian food and ‘clean’ eating. Definitely not donuts. I honestly can’t say what the (south) Floridian market wants.

If Kenny and Danny lived over on this coast, they would have been pulled over SO SO SO many times, for no seatbelts on those kids! They constantly have cops sitting in certain spots, watching for no seatbelts and speeding in my area and I love it! A lot of people call it a trap... but, you know what? You should be wearing your seatbelt and going the speed limit.. should you not? If they did that in K&D's area.. they'd be over!

I think Kenny is desperate to live through her daughters, because she has no life of her own. Maybe if she got some help for her anxiety, quit being so judgmental, stopped being so rude and outspoken... she could make friends her OWN age, and stop trying to be her kids.

I just looked up Duck Donuts, in my area... we had 3 over here in the Ft Myers, Estero, Bonita, Naples area... and one closed already! They had all just recently opened within the last 5 years. I don't frequent donut shops but, I had thought a donut shop that ACTUALLY makes fresh donuts, would stand a chance. For those that don't know.. Duck Donuts.. makes "mini" donuts, and they are little cake donuts, fried fresh when you order them... and they are made custom to what you order.. or you can also order standard orders. I have never tried them, but I have heard they are good.

Like you said, it would make sense if say Kenny was friends with Payton’s mom so the moms and daughters hung out but it’s weird that Kenny is just tagging along with her teenage daughter and her friends. Sometimes when I had sleepovers, my mom would chat with us for a little bit because my friends liked my mom too lol but she never hung out with us, it would just be sitting at the table talking for a half hour after supper or something like that. I wonder what happened to Kenny in her teenage years that she is SO obsessed with reliving them? Maybe it has to do with her anxiety; new things scare her and being a teenager is a familiar experience she has already lived through so it feels “safe”, safer than discovering each new step of adulthood. I really don’t know but I would definitely give some respect to her if she started seeing a therapist and really working hard through her issues.

When it comes to Canada, it’s a similar situation food wise. Tom Hortons is big here and people are really loyal to Tim’s so they’ll get their donuts there rather than going to a place like Duck Donuts. What people really want is fast and easy but healthy food. Everyone is busy running around all day and they want to be able to go through a drive thru and get a meal that is actually good for you.
