It broke me when Emma said she just wanted Elizabeth. Probably the only person she can actually trust. Even over her horrible mom. I hope when she graduates from college they move in together. I think that'll be the only way Emma moves out.

I didn't think she was tormenting her too much, I thought it was more her trying to take her mind off of things.. And she was actually TRYING to get Emma to buy things.. and on HER dime, not Emma's? I actually think that she was caring, in her way. I think in all honesty, she was trying to get laughs out of Emma.. it was much different than the other vlogs, did anyone else get that vibe?

In the jet ski vlog today I did notice a difference with mark and heather being nice for a change.

I hope i’m doing this right, I don’t know Emma personally but I know some close to her. From what they have told me, everything this site has said is true. Emma hates what her mother is forcing her to do and just wants to live a normal teen life instead of vlogging everywhere. It is also true that Emma cannot keep friends for the life of her. She won’t communicate or listen and shuts down during any disagreement. Her mother is so involved in her personal life and keeps in contact with Emma’s friends constantly on top of flip flopping idiotic reasons why Emma cannot go do such teenager activities.

Oh, and Jeffrey is a controlling nightmare too.

Yep.

I've always thought it weird how Heather is in contact with Emma's friends/boyfriend as much as she is. It doesn't surprise me though with as much of a control freak as she is. Heather has no friends so she makes Emmas friends her friends. It's weird.

I'm also not surprised that Emma shuts down during disagreements. Look at how her own mother and stepdad have treated her. As wrong as it may be, I firmly believe it's a coping mechanism for her. She knows if she were to talk back or act like Ellie does she'd be on restriction and lose every privilege she has. They don't accept that behavior from Emma, only Ellie. I've commented on this over the years. Emma has learned how to act in order for her life to go as smoothly as it can. She's learned to play the game. That won't change until she moves out. Even then I feel like Heather will have some sort of hold on her.

Man I never noticed how spoiled and awful Ellie is until I came to this thread and read about it. In their newest back to school shopping haul Ellie literally throws a shirt and leaves it all messy on the display at one of the stores because her mom told her to size up. She is actually awful and I’m surprised her mom allows it/doesn’t cut it out of video because the viewers are noticing and commenting about it.
