I know this thread is dead but I watched them on and off - why did they move to missouri? it seems like they really hate it there, was it financial reasons? i assumed channing's husband was hawaiian and that's where the kid's names come from and why they lived there but maybe im wrong.

Channing and Joe met in Missouri I don't remember if he is from there or Florida maybe(?). Channing and her famiy lived on and off in Hawaii when she was a teenager then at 16 her parents got divorced, relocated to Missouri her mom got remarried, her dad worked in television I believe, he had a couple of girlfriends.
Channing wanted to move back to Hawaii really badly. When her ex (Phong, Jovi's dad) let her stay there after a Holiday they moved back there with Joe (probably Phong got out of paying child's support and he went to med school or something similar)
Chan went to culinary school in Missouri I believe. She met Joe when she was a host and he bussed tables at the same restaurant.
They moved to Hawaii to live in a room with a friend of Channing and she got pregnant with Kobe straight away.
They seemed to have financial difficulties all the time, then they had Cali Thrill (I believe named in honor of a friend of Joe that passed away when Chan was pregnant?) then the boy Koa and in Missouri unexpectedly she revealed a bump and that was Irie.
I think the name thing is mostly Channing's doing. She Always said that she really likes very unique names.

I think they moved for financial reasons joe wasn’t finding work there and yes chan hates it and wants to go back badly
Channing is the one who grew up in and loves Hawaii

I think joe only named Kobe

Oh right, the financial reasons. Hawaii must be crazy expensive with kids. At the time they had 4 already. They couldn't afford it anymore and she said that they were fighting about money all the time. I imagine that if you have to work that much to afford a place that you can't even enjoy, what's the point in staying there. They could barely see each ther, I can't imagine where did they find the time to raise their family or to even have a healthy marriage. They were working 7 days a week between the two of them and they were on opposite shifts so they didn't even spend time together at home, like, ever.

Kinda weird she is showing her marijuana plants that are completely accessible to her children and smoking crack looking pipes in the shower on social media. Girl if you are going to show yourself getting stoned in the shower at least buy yourself a quality bowl.
