I get it, she had a mouth sore that was from HPV and had to have it removed. It really is NOT that big of a deal. If you don't get it removed it can eventually turn into a skin cancer, but they took care of it before that happened, and honestly--it just isn't that big of a deal. They milked that issue to death and acted like mom was dying of cancer. She wasn't.

Then later they jumped on the keto bandwagon, saying that sugar feeds cancer and from what they had been through (not cancer) they were avoiding it. It just felt very dishonest.
I think you are being very dishonest. How do you know it was HPV? This family is pretty private about things unless they choose to open up about it so it makes me believe you are making it up. In the video where they opened up about this you could tell it was very hard for them to do. She had a cancer scare is what the family was saying and it was something that all of them had to process and it is a long thing to process from tests to the emotional aspect of all of it. And for anyone who has had cancer or a cancer scare it changes you and how you live from what you eat to how active you are so I would appreciate if you would give this family a break. Of all the families I watch on YouTube this one is my absolute favorite because they are very transparent about things.
LOL what the actual hell are you talking about? Just because they say they are christians and hand out cookies and talk about all their good deeds...does not mean they are "transparent". they are constantly hinting to be sponsored and wanting things for free. They are only "transparent" about the things they want to draw attention to....they are no better than any other youtube fam who will do/say anything for views and subscribers.
I should ask you that same question because I dont think you actually watch their videos and you seem to be extremely judgemental to any family that has found success financially. I am quite positive they dont talk about everything they do for other people. Yes, during vlogmas they do go through their calendar teaching their children to give back, it's not for the video. And I have never seen a video where they hinted for free items. Didnt you see videos of people blessing them like paying for their groceries so they decided to pay it forward because they did not feel right about just accepting such a generous gift. Out of all the families I watch this is one I will defend 110% because they dont go looking for a handout and they actually teach their children to love one another like the bible tells us to, unlike a lot of people do today.

Why dont you just stop talking, no one is liking your posts here anyway which means what you are saying is not true. Take your lies and made up truths somewhere else. 99% of what is said here is in support of this family. They are not hinting at anything, get that out of your head. And for the record my Christian beliefs are none of your business so go mind yours. Good day!

I am very much aware of the type of site this is, I AM NOT STUPID. But you need to comprehend this there are some forums on this site where the users actually like the channel and this is one of them. Yea there are a couple negative posts, but overall people agree with this family and what they stand for. You should take your hatred to some other families forums where it would be more welcomed.

I loved watching the video of Jessica's friend in Italy. Its amazing how a country who has seen turmoil as Italy has to have someone see it with such faith knowing everything will be okay. Kudos to Jessica for sharing a story of hope because right now many people need stories of hope and faith as we walk through the path of the unknown with the virus.

When I first saw them, I think through a YouTube suggestion, I found them interesting and watched a lot of back videos.

The more time went on though, the more they really - really bugged me. I could say about a hundred reasons why. The final straw in my even questioning what I thought of them was a video where they talked about the differences between Alaska & the lower 48 (they do it a lot, I don't remember the exact video) and said they don't have much of a homeless population because people are more motivated to work because it's too cold to be homeless there

They were called out in the comments by many people on that - and they didn't acknowledge a single one.

I find their son irritating - a typical spoiled little boy - and their oldest - I think she's a good kid but I think a lot of that is because there is pressure on her to be that good kid. She's the "helper". I love the middle girl and hope she doesn't lose her spunk.

I am interested in the dynamics with Jessica's siblings. It seems they are much younger than her, and live in the "lower 48". At first I thought maybe she was adopted, but her oldest daughter looks JUST like her mother. Just nosey and curious I guess. The pandemic has me bored out of my gourd.

I find them super interesting and a good example of a family that really does try to put out good content with out having it seem "scripted".
You can call that there is a lot of love in that house.

The part that where they start to loose me is the "praise the lord" on every little thing. Like "praise the lord i found the last piece of farm house decor at Fred Meyer" ect, it is their life and I am just a "looker in" but that makes me snark when I see it.

*** for context I was raised really conservative Christian and have moved away from it in my adult like****

I like them too and "praise the lord" kind of bothers me, but doesn't really. Just look at most sport athletes they do the same thing as well. "God" made them "win" "God" made them hit that home run or throw that ball well or catch it well...

I do love how they come off as regular ordinary family. They are not trying to be something they are not. Most YouTube families especially once they become popular they change. They live for the blog instead of blogging about their life.

- Mom needs to back off the makeup - she's a naturally pretty woman and the makeup is far too "Tammy Faye"

I watched them for a while, but then got absolutely sick of the clickbait and the 'preachy' type stuff, so I gave up.

Same. Tried of hearing "God"
"God" doesn't do anything. YOU DO IT.....or some luck happens. Many people in this world are suffering and others not. So "God" is making them suffer and not you?

Something about them I just found annoying, in general. Watched a few months and then stopped. I think the wife's excitement seemed pretty phony, too. That's probably part of what annoyed me the most.

Hey Happy People!

"SHE IS IN HEAVEN NOW | WE WILL MISS YOU GREAT GRANDMA | Somers In Alaska"

I used to watch this channel bc I thought seeing the day to day of a family living in Alaska would be interesting, sadly it wasn't....to me. My wife fell into the allure of their clickbait titles and has followed their drama. I can't blame my wife, she is less cynical than me and finds enjoyment from watching them. I had to come here to bring up the latest Somers drama.....the husband is currently on camera crying because his 92 year old grandmother passed away, sure that's sad until you learn that they apparently worked hard to bring her from the warmth of Arizona to the shit-cold of Alaska - surprise surprise - change the environment and the old lady dies. Strangely enough, when the camera began rolling he seemed fine but maybe 90 seconds in he is bawling for us....the viewers. Cut to the daughter (because what would a Somers in Alaska video be without bringing the kids into frame?) And she is consoling her dad in a scripted way, the whole thing feels painfully manufactured. It's gross.

I am waiting to hear if they will have a special code to save 10% off of merch today to pay tribute to grandma....
