Hey everyone! It's been a while but it's fun to be back... I really like Pelican's "Riches to Rags"-- so accurate!

I don't think Kendal pays for Kapri to have friends. I think Kapri was joking or just acting needy for fun. There's no way all those girls gave her any of that.
Anyway, the Duck Donuts has gotten nowhere and their house STILL hasn't gone under contract. I'm seriously wondering what K&D are waiting for at this point. Obviously that obnoxious price for the house isn't going to happen, and it's time to lower it. Does Kendal not actually want to sell it? Their chance of a high price is out the window with the sky high 6.5% interest rates. They'd be lucky to get over a million for the place at this point. They've let the house sit too long on the market--the listing has gone stale. Looks like counting on the house to bail them out of every poor decision they've made career wise and financially didn't work out too well.

I bet the reason they haven't changed the price is because the current pricing is the only way they can afford another home big enough for them. They are fully reliant on a huge down payment, (from the profit of their home sale) since the income stream from YT isn't high anymore. Duck isn't bringing the fast high income they were hoping for-- they don't even have a location approved!

Anyone notice they obviously shop at Walmart which Kendal used to gag and vomit over? I see Great Value brand stuff every video. Definitely shows their financial change, since Kendal was so against it when views were up. I have noticed she buys things for herself (like her keto snacks and fruit cups) at Whole Foods still though, but not family groceries. Speaking of keto, is Kendal still claiming she's doing that?! Weekly crumbl and dunkin definitely isn't keto. Keto is ridiculous in my opinion anyway, I'd be happy to see Kendal isn't doing it anymore.

I reckoned, like every other YouTuber, she is sponsored by Walmart and that’s why she mentions it so often. You could be right though, maybe she’s simply too poor to shop elsewhere

And to those who said Daniel looks older or different…..it’s probably stress. He has a wife who can’t stop spending money on cheer and no income prospects to support that. He must be under a lot of pressure. It’s no wonder he’s different.

Maybe I’m in the minority, but I haven’t really noticed any changes in Daniel since they moved to Florida. Only person in the vlogs I’ve noticed a change in would be Kapri. But I guess that’s normal given her age.

So not only did Daniel get a job, they finally got their location approved for the donut shop. It’s in Wellington in the Courtyard Plaza. Attached is a picture of the shop front.

I don’t know what Daniel will be doing as a job but perhaps he will appear on LinkdIn and we can figure it out.

One thing is for sure though, there’ll be plenty of Gucci and no budget shopping vlogs coming up.

-how is Daniel going to run the duck donuts AND work a job at the same time? Based on what they said it’s not an engineering job since it’s fully remote. Sounds like it’s sales since he said he “loves the product”

There are engineering jobs that resemble customer service representative jobs. I think they are called field engineers or something. If he got the CAT job in college, that's probably the sort of job he was doing before.

It doesn't look like they will get a lot of foot traffic, they need some kind of marketing plan.

With money coming in, I wonder how much they'll outsource. At one point, weren't they paying someone else to edit? Or maybe one of the girls could learn.

It's not just shopping and Disney and eating out. Their cost of living is too high. Between their mortgage, association fees, insurance, pool maintenance, utility bills, taxes, etc, it probably costs them $10k/month just to live in that house. They have at least five phone lines. That's probably around $500/month. Cheer is probably another grand every month. Anyone wanna take a guess at car payments? Putting gas in their cars? Subscriptions? They probably make too much to qualify for Obamacare or CHIP so the health insurance premium for seven people has to be close to $2k/month even if they are getting the cheapest plan. I don't think these people can exist for under $15k/month.

Todays vlog really explains why Kendal hasn’t stopped with her dunkin and crumbl habits- stable income is coming and she’s already spending it up before it even happens!! Big surprise. I agree with you all. I can’t believe the pressure Daniel is under— he has to do everything. Kendal bumps around spending money all day while he edits vids, manages the possible duck donuts, and prepares for the remote job he’s going to start. On top of this, we all know who worries about money, taxes, and bank accounts. Him.

Kendal should get a job, maybe part time a Nordstrom or something since she likes pretending she’s rich. That would make her money while also giving her a high end shopping environment.
She should also figure out how to edit the videos and take that off Daniel’s plate, ESPECIALLY when his remote job starts. If 12 year olds can edit a vlog, Kendal should be able to figure it out. She’s lazy and clueless about being an adult and doesn’t want to admit it.

I don’t blame Evie for being done with YouTube and clearly annoyed with her parents. I would be too. I don’t dislike her for the attitude at all.. imagine Kendal being your mom! I would be crazy.

As I write this I can’t remember who said it but their house definitely isn’t costing them $10k per month. That monthly is based off the current 6.5% interest and ridiculous prices. Remember they bought years ago for 715k at a lower interest rate. I’the probably costing them around $5k per month including hoa, if they had a reasonable down payment. Maybe it’s much worse since they saved up 0 money to put down, though. Kendal did spend big in 2019 when YouTube was at its peak. They did get profit, though, from their NC home.

At first, I thought they'd made some money on their NC house too, but Lemon had the listing and it was pretty pathetic. We don't know what kind of a loan they got, even if prime interest rates were low, without a big down payment or stable income, they might have gotten a subprime rate and are paying for PMI on top of that. Or the loan might be an ARM and they are about to be paying a lot more. Their property taxes on Zillow are insane. Plus their kids are clueless when it comes to energy. No one shuts doors, turns off lights, etc. I'd guess that with the way the kids are crazy about sweatshirts and blankets, the air is probably cranked way up. They are literally cooling the neighborhood. Pools are also really hard on your utility bills. Just living in that house is very costly.
