Anyone see Brinley's video or their newest vlog? WAY to have Brinley learn..
1. don't have her put on seatbelt.. nor the passengers.
2. let her drive illegally with no learners permit.
3. let her have more concern with the camera, than actually driving and the what she's doing.

Wtf is wrong with this family?

I’m pretty sure Brin is supposed to have her permit before driving. I called out another family for allowing their son to drive before he got his permit. She told me off! She said he’s getting it soon. I don’t know if it’s still the law, but years ago if you got caught doing that no license until 18. I think it’s legal on private property. Maybe they think the neighborhood is private property.

It probably depends on the state. In my state, you can get a special permit to drive to school alone at 14. I have no idea what you need to do to get it, though.

Brinley is apparently editing the videos now; at least the last two. Not sure if she's getting help from Daniel but she's doing a really good job. She even bumped the video quality from 1080p to 4k like she's been doing with the videos on her channel.

In Florida, you have to be 15 to get a learners permit to be able to drive with a licensed adult between certain hours of the day. If you are on your own land, you could get away with letting anyone drive at any age, like Nanmo1228 said. Is it wrong of me to hope they get pulled over, and find out Brinley is only 14?

They mentioned in the vlog about finally finding a DD location, that Brinley was going to be doing the editing, I didn't realize she was already.. good job! Maybe she will cut out some of the annoying parts for us? haha! They made it seem they were paying her to do it.. saying it was one of her "jobs" she was going to be doing. I hope they are paying her well, as I know editing can be stressful after awhile.

I don’t get how this family can so obviously and openly break the law. Not only is Brinley under age, she’s not wearing a seatbelt and she doesn’t have a permit.

Are they covertly trying to prove that the laws are irrelevant in Florida because no one actually does their job and that actually people are free to do as they please? Or are they trying to show us they’re anti-establishment? Or are they just stupid?

I am sure Brinley was driving slowly but she is entirely inexperienced. They’re driving around their neighborhood. Do kids not play on the streets of a neighborhood in Florida? On bikes, scooters etc? I know for sure they do in any other country I’ve lived in. Does Brinley know how to react if a child isn’t paying attention? Can none of you guys who actually lives in Florida not report this dangerous and irresponsible behaviour to the authorities? Not because we are ‘haters’ but because they are acting wrecklessly.

I’m going to go with they are just stupid!!! Why would you pull the camera out and FILM the first time your kid is driving?! On top of that, post it to YouTube?! She’ll be more worried about how she looks on camera than being a good driver. And the no seatbelt. Wtf. Kendal is such a liar with her "it’s just when we start the car" seatbelt bs. It’s just a deflection.

Brinley driving without a permit was very illegal— Florida isn’t THAT free, lol. Kendal was spending it up yesterday at Wilderness Lodge at Disney and universal with Kapri and a friend. Just like we thought- the second stable income comes back **from a job that daniels barely even started** she’s back to blowing a stack.

Crime is up in the US even in sleepy little towns. When I moved into my current city in 2016, that year there were zero violent crimes here and only four property crimes. Coming out of Chicago, I felt very smug about that. It was the kind of place where we didn't need to lock our doors at night. This year, we've had stuff stolen, we're seeing a ton of vandalism at our library and parks, there was a gun incident at the middle school and yesterday we went to our little local coffee shop and someone had thrown a rock through the window. It seems to have started with the TikTok vandalism thing last year, but it sort of escalated over the summer.

Things are observably worse in more urban areas like NYC, DC, Portland Oregon and San Francisco. I can only imagine that a place like Palm Beach is probably overwhelmed. Unless there is an accident, Brinley driving without a license is small potatoes right now.

Also, it's pretty uncommon to see kids playing outside anymore. American kids typically have after school lessons 3-4 times a week and when they are not busy they are on screens. A lot of parents don't even take their kids into stores and restaurants anymore because of take out and curbside pickup. Yesterday we took our kids to the symphony and there were only two other kids there.

That’s kind of sad, isn’t it. Kids don’t get to be kids. Every child has screen time. Let’s not pretend they don’t. But for young kids it should come secondary to going outside, having a water fight, kicking a ball, swinging on swings and all the things that come with those activities like cut knees and grazed hands. Good on you for taking your family to do something that’s not mainstream.

It's kinda hard to do traditional things with kids these days because those activities are often dominated by adults like Kendal. There are adults that are so driven by nostalgia that it's almost like they have a fear of making new memories. When we go to an amusement park or the state fair or apple picking or the zoo or whatever, we often see these adults who are all sugared up and over stimulated. They end up yelling curse words at their own kids or being rude to a worker. I've found that doing less traditional things with kids seems to result in a more peaceful experience. And if we do something more traditional, we try to go on off hours.

As for playing outside, there are a lot of kids who don't really know how to play anymore. It tends to be the kids who go from spending 10+ hours a day in daycare to a full day of school and aftercare plus 3-4 after school activities. They've really never had enough free time to figure out play. Plus their parents have never really had enough time with them to figure out how to parent them (especially in dual custody situations). And screens are so available and easy.

As for the normal scrapes and scratches, it's not really normal anymore. You can tell because when it does happen, the kid screams bloody murder and the parents stand there wringing their hands and looking uncomfortable. My kids started carrying first aid kits when they were five because they couldn't stand it anymore.

The thing I don't get about homeschoolers like Kendal is that this should be the #1 school-based cultural pitfall to avoid. Instead they make it about library books and drag shows all while leading their kids to even greater levels of emotional incompetence. What is the point of keeping them home if you aren't going to encourage greater levels of confidence, independence and emotional security? Instead she is just keeping them home to spoon feed her anxiety to them.

I’ve experienced something similar. Parents who want so hard for everything to be as perfect as depicted in a Hallmark movie that they can’t cope with anything but synthetic perfection. Or parents who actually can’t be understanding or find fault with themselves or their own kids. We had a kid once in the gym who was being a brat so we asked her to sit out for 5 minutes. At the end of class we told the parent what happened and instead of dealing with the child and her bad behaviour she blamed us for ruining the child’s afternoon. I have a feeling that Kendal might be one of those parents. When her kids have a fight with a friend I bet she blames the other child every time.

Kendal says she’s working too…or helping out somewhere. Anyone care to guess where? She says they’ve a friend who’s opening a “I heart Mac n cheese” franchise. Maybe she’s working in there to get some experience before they open DD. Also, I don’t think she could be more disinterested in the DD venture. She only complained while in the new shop and then sat outside on the wall. Poor Daniel will be running these franchises all alone.

She thinks Evie has a concussion….if it had been from cheer we would have heard about that. My daughter had/has a concussion….not sure how long it technically lasts. But she fell in the gym last week and hit her head hard. She was in such a bad way that we had to call an ambulance for her. Luckily no lasting damage but we were in hospital for observation for 8 hours and she had headaches for 5 days afterwards.

If Evie has a concussion then she shouldn’t be driving to the doctors.

My guess is that she went back to selling oils or some other health related MSM. I really don't think she should be in a position where she has to deal with people or be responsible for anything major. My other guess would be something Disney related.

Shouldn't Kendal know if Evie has a concussion? My neighbor got hit in the head last spring with a wind borne shade canopy that was poorly secured at a local festival. It was pretty obvious that she had a concussion. She was in and out of urgent care within thirty minutes with pain killers, instructions to rest and orders to avoid future head injuries.

Judging by the vlog, yes Evie was concussed. It’s really important she not go back to cheer until all symptoms are gone. I hope the family understands that.

So it sounds like they are going to let Brin drive again. Daniel talked about how great she is on the roads! Do they not grasp that she is supposed to have that learners permit before operating the vehicle? I wonder if because they live in a gated community they think it’s fine.
