Just popped in to say that I find it unusual how often Kendal says “I’m gonna cry” at the kids’ cheer practices.

And the kids are done, done, done with vlogging. They are so checked out and not into it in the slightest.

An old vlog showed up in my feed from years ago where Evie was “handcuffed” to Terri for the day (I’m guessing that was a fad among family vloggers at the time). And Evie was miserable.

I don’t know exactly what was going on with her, but it’s a weird dynamic how Daniel and Kendal are trying to make it wacky and funny while Evie is so obviously unhappy and feeling forced into participating.

That video in particular has aged really poorly. As did the ‘mailing Kapri in a cardboard box’ video.

She eats and crunches the whole way through it
She says she doesn’t care if people cancel her because she is open enough to admit she’s voting for trump
In the next breath she says she’s had no negative comments about her previous post saying she’ll vote for trump.

So she’s had no negative comments whatsoever but still spends 5 minutes saying she doesn’t care if she’s cancelled or unfollowed or if people are triggered

She’s clearly triggered but says she was raised in the 80s so she’s not triggered

The woman is a lunatic. It must be so hard living in that house with her.

I wonder what portion of her audience is non American. I honestly do not care who she votes for. I am not from the US nor do I live in the US. We watch the presidential race with interest and without political bias. Her rant to me has no meaning. I just see a crazy woman on IG. I wonder how many others who follow her feel like I do.

Also, Evie isn’t an influencer. She’s a teen on IG who has been dragged into the world of social media by her mother. She clearly has no interest in vlogging and seldomly posts on IG or Tiktok.

Funny. At this point polls are starting to say that most Republicans are moving on from Trump. Only about 20-30% are expected to stand by him. The rest are gravitating towards libertarianism or social conservatism and DeSantis kinda has a lock on both those groups. But polls and analysts have been wrong.

I feel like I have a handful of international friends and family who dislike Trump or really love him. I have one Brazilian friend who is really triggered by him because he reminds him of Bolsonaro. Ironically, we know some Ukrainians who likes be him even though he is sympathetic to Putin.

Caught that rant too. Looks like tomorrow we'll be finding out why she's mad-- Kendal said either today or tomorrow it'll be on YouTube, and today they didn't post. I can't imagine being home when Kendal is in a "mood." She seems very unstable and I definitely get severe mood swing vibes. Bubbly and happy one second, and flips to pissed off easily. Evie's never home-- I bet she loves her license when Kendal's in a mood. I'd leave too.

I think Kendal giving a minute to think on what she's about to say to her entire Instagram would do her some good. She rambles a lot and shares lots of scattered thoughts. I'm not saying she cant't share what's on her mind, she can say whatever she wants. It's just every set of like 5 stories can easily be condensed down to one of actual "content."

I watched it and I laughed throughout the whole thing.. but, I had to agree with her on one thing.. I would go back and look to get it right but, 1. I don't really care to give her more views and 2. it's probably gone by now anyhow lol BUT.. she said something like "people say they don't want to hear about politics only when you disagree with them". I can't say how true this has been over the years! Anytime I am talking to anyone about politics.. it's all fine and well.. until we disagree, then it's "I don't want to hear about politics". I just don't understand why people can't agree to disagree and still state their cases?! It's beyond me! I will probably forever be in the dark..

And yes! Evie is NOT and influencer at all.. she's just a teen who posts on IG, TikTok, and has a YouTube channel she never posts on, because she's happier living her real life offline, and not living for people who don't matter to her. And good for her! IF she was an influencer, she'd be getting brand deals and posting almost, if not daily on her social medias. I hope Brin follows Evie's lead and gets a job and life off social media. Because Evie seems happy.

A family vlogging channel showed up in my YouTube feed with over 2,500 videos... and 67 subscribers. I checked their page and all of their recent videos have like 10 to 20 views. In the entire time I've been on YouTube I've never seen anything like that before.

They haven’t been posting everyday for a long time. But they’ve definitely reduced their cadence from every other day too. Feels like they have vlogs 2x a week, 3 max. They don’t post on the weekend ever.

EV has a foot injury that has her out of cheer for at least 4 weeks. The big controversy today was EV’s MRI report hasnt been signed off on by the doc and it’s been a week (usually they get reports within 48 hours). This causes Kenny to go into a state of distress since she absolutely must have that report! The most interesting thing about the vlog is Kenny actually went to the doctors office and demanded the MRI report instead of making Daniel do it. She was actually pretty nice when she was talking to them which surprises me (more so than her actually taking it upon herself to track down the MRI report)

If Kendal wouldn’t live her entire life through her kiss’s cheerleading then she might be a bit more objective about Evie’s injury. And if this foot has been hurting her for so long why have they waited til the week before the first competition to go get it seen to.

What’s worse than no cheering is that Evie won’t be able to drive the car wearing a boot. It’s her right foot, right? The right foot is kind of necessary for driving!

I’ve said here before how my eldest is a high level athlete….well she organises her own medical appointments…mri, physio, doctor and goes by herself. Has done for years. She had an mri last Tuesday because her foot is hurting. Turns out it’s an edema in the bone marrow. There’s no obvious cause. She’s in preparation season and indoor competition season begins mid January. She hopes she’s healed by then. Why would Evie wait til the week before competition season to seek medical help?

Fast forward a few months, the injury isn’t healed and got worse. Sad thing is, if they stopped spending money on clothes, Starbucks, Dunkin’, etc for ONE month, they would have been able to afford it. At the very least, pay pout of pocket on a payment plan. But no, this family doesn’t have common sense to manage their finances in a sensible way.

Also, there is NO way this will stop EV from driving. This family does not care about roles, or safety. They won’t do anything that makes them give up their “personal freedoms”. If the doc says don’t drive, EV will say “I don’t know why I can’t drive, I can still use my foot!” And Kenny and Daniel will agree. They don’t see things the way normal people do and their risk tolerance is much higher than most. They will for sure let EV continue to drive and they won’t think twice about it.

Side note- did anyone see Kenny’s insta Q&A? Somebody asked how she can afford 4 kids in all-star cheer because they have 1 kid doing it and they thought THAT was expensive. Kenny’s answer was “hence the need for a smaller mortgage” or something like that. I’m not sure if she was joking, but I have no doubt cheer is bankrupting this family faster than they’d like to admit.

I did see that q&a and hoped it was kind of tongue in cheek sarcasm. I sincerely hope they’re not pumping so much money into cheer that it’s actually impacting the home in which they live. And for what? Literally nothing will come from the level of cheer this family does. I’m also confused as to how it could be that all 4 children love it. I have only three children but they don’t all have the same interests! I have one mediocre level gymnast, one high level heptathlete and one decent, but not top level discus thrower. I couldn’t imagine them all even pretending to like the same thing.

I get why Evie isn't dealing with the medical stuff on her own. There's a lot of stuff that adults need to sign off on in this country. You can't give a minor Tylenol, offer them sunblock or clean a wound with alcohol without explicit written permission from a parent or guardian. Plus it seems like Evie has a lot of medical anxiety.

What I don't understand is why they aren't actively looking into CHIP for the kids if they are having trouble paying for medical needs. Even if they don't use it, it would save them from paying the penalty on their taxes every year. And the limits are pretty high. It's likely they'd qualify. Plus, with his disabilities, they should try to get Hampton on Medicaid. Do we still believe that Kendal and Daniel don't have insurance and just pay for everything out of pocket?

If they are still trying to save money:
1. Figure out if they can still rent out their house for $$$$
2. Get an energy audit done. Likely there's at least one way to bring the bill down.
3. Look into Mint Mobile. There's no reason to pay more.
4. Make real coffee at home. Not pods. Grind some beans, people.
5. Batch cook. Seriously. Tons of YouTubers do it. It would be great content if they could put their own spin on it. And it would motivate them to stop eating out and gorging on Crumbl. Even if they just started with batching out nacho type meals and cookie dough, it would still be worth it.

Yeah I think she turned 18 in September

Could you imagine Kendal doing a cooking video. She can’t cook. She adds jars of sauce and pre made meatballs to a crockpot and calls it cooking.

They could very easily cut down on expenses…stop getting private lessons for the kids. Stop buying crumbl and dunkin etc, start cooking using actual ingredients, stop using three cars!, don’t put up and light your Christmas tree until later in December, stop being an ass to your subscribers and you might get more views.

However, between the time they initially moved to Florida and today, they have cut back drastically! Remember all those trips to Disney staying in the posh hotels, remember the Gucci shopping, the never ending no budget trips to the mall, ordering in or eating out for every single meal! Today they are living like paupers compared with how they used to love 4 years ago.

Is it true that a single MRI costs on average 700usd if you’ve no insurance? Or is it possible to have insurance that doesn’t cover MRIs?

One problem with medical costs in the US is that prices aren't published. Typically, they just bill your insurance. If your insurance won't cover it, they send you the bill and some times you can call them and negotiate the price down. But some people aren't even struggling with the cost of the treatment. For some people, the struggle is the deductible or the copay. If that's what the Riches are struggling with, it means that they are pretty far gone.

I agree that the whole cheer thing sounds like a money pit.

Evie might be eighteen, but she's not in any shape to seek out her own medical care. It looked like her mom had to really push her into getting the MRI.

The Riches do not eat complicated food. Kendal doesn't need to be Julia Child. Most of their meals consist of meat in some sauce on top of some kind of carb. Occasionally there's a couple vegetables involved if they are calling it a salad. If 22yo frat boys can cook for themselves, so can Kendal.
