Daniel somehow got himself in as manager, and that’s it. I think the "/owner" thing is a baseless statement, which may show why Kendal wants nothing to do with it yet. Not doubting at all that this Mac n cheese venture is bizarre but on one of the websites for the Cape Coral Restaurant it does say ‚under new management‘. Maybe the contract hasn’t yet been finalized. Or maybe you’re right and he’s just the manager.

I do not get the crying because he missed a day of a cheer competition. In my opinion they’re both extremely highly strung and their emotions are still very raw. Under normal circumstances he couldn’t have cried but at the moment the slightest change or inconvenience is going to send them into a meltdown.

Flip City - cheer extreme…absolutely nothing has changed except the uniform. The kids are the same, the coaches are the same the owner is the same. And the gym still doesn’t do well in competition. If they want to do well they need to change something other than their colours. I would be starting with the coach.

The wooing and whooping during the routines is so irritating. The kids are pretty low key about it all.
As for Evie: she says they’ll talk about Evie in another video. Has she already quit?

Kendal and Daniel are so crazy for crying over him having to miss the first day of a 2-day cheer competition for work, I thought somebody died the way they were crying! The kids, not even Sebi, barely seem to care he’s even at the competitions, although they may appreciate it more when they’re older. They have two parents who care about their activities, and that’s a great thing.

I think both Daniel and Kendal are already fed up with the long, unexpected hours at this job. They are used to being “self-employed”, not getting called into work at the drop of a hat.

They aren’t the brightest, so I wonder if they just see “owner” and “manager” as kind of interchangeable terms. Daniel manages the restaurant, so it’s “his”. Either way, I doubt this macaroni job will last. The restaurant business is very hard, too hard for them.

Their next competition is this weekend in Atlanta. Is Daniel going? What if he unexpectedly gets called into work? He literally wouldn’t be able to go, then what? It just doesn’t jive well with their lifestyle of laziness and living through their kids lol.

While it did seem like Evie had lost interest in cheer for a while, I don't think that it was right for her to quit in the middle of competition season since the team would not have to incorporate someone new or possibly change the routine. So it wasn't fair to the team. Also, what kind of Varsity ambassador can she be if she quit the team.

Wow I haven’t watched the video yet but I had a feeling Evie was done with cheer. Since she turned 18 she’s definitely been taking control of her life. She’s rarely on camera. She quit cheer. She’s always out just living her life. I wonder what’s next. Will she decide to go get a real education. Will she move out, will she get a job that isnt seasonal. And the biggest question of all…will she tell the world about life as an exploited child

I didn’t watch the video yet but wow at Evie quitting. You try to teach kids to not quit midseason— you made a full-season commitment and your team is counting in you. It’s also right before Cheersport, one of the biggest competitions of their season.

But Kendal puts so much pressure on these kids, I could see why it takes away some of the fun of it. She doesn’t just want them to cheer, they have to be taking private tumbling lessons, constantly looking to move up the levels. Evie’s been injured quite a bit, and you could tell it wasn’t easy for her to maintain level 4 tumbling. A level 3 team might have suited her better.

I also remember her picking Flip City initially because of the 1st place banners on the walls, and they told her she was going to win a lot. Well they never win, and maybe she was discouraged about that too.

And she’s been distancing herself from her family in general, always with her boyfriend I guess. She doesn’t even stay with them at competitions it seems. She’s still in high school, so it’s a little weird she’s already so distant, but when you’re homeschooled all your life, you feel like you’ve broken out of a cage once you have a car and stuff.

Also, Kendal tries to act like their gym isn’t winning because of how subjective and rigged cheerleading is. The judges must be favoring other teams and getting paid to fix results! Cheer Extreme is one of the most popular names in cheerleading, if you can’t win with that name behind you, you’re just not good enough.

Speaking from extensive experience in cheer, competition placements are usually very accurate. And if you convince your kids it’s rigged, you send a message of “why even bother trying”. I could see how that might discourage an athlete from continuing too.

Kendal’s just one of those crazy sports parents- supportive but sometimes too much.
