Funny how fast Evie went from “cheer is my life and I’m never quitting” and wanting to super senior next year to quitting completely. While I disagree with the timing since she committed to another season, I’m glad she’s pushing out of the isolated world her mother has bound her to and doing her own thing. I hope it’s just the beginning of her finding her own way and creating her own path in life vs the path she’s been indoctrinated into. I hope Brin is next cause she doesn’t seem to be enjoying it either. I feel like Brin would be a great volleyball player given her height.

The whole crying because you got called into work thing is beyond ridiculous. Daniel, you are a grown man- act like it. Not saying men can’t cry but this is a low level cheer comp you have to miss- not the Super Bowl. Also it just solidifies the fact that neither Kendal or Daniel have any idea of what they got themselves into with owning a fast food restaurant. There’s a reason the previous owner gave it up and I’m sure it’s because of money or because of the 24/7 nature of the business and burnout. In a few months when Daniel misses more comps and birthdays and other special occasions, they’ll quit and say the restaurant biz wasn’t for them. Makes me wonder how they EVER thought they could manage TWO duck donuts - esp brand new ones. Daniel is struggling with “owning” an already established restaurant. The idiocy of these two is astounding

Also, Kendal tries to act like their gym isn’t winning because of how subjective and rigged cheerleading is. The judges must be favoring other teams and getting paid to fix results! Cheer Extreme is one of the most popular names in cheerleading, if you can’t win with that name behind you, you’re just not good enough.

Personally, I found that a lot of the Cheer Extreme franchise gyms (not the original ones in North Carolina) are not that good. And if a team is not that good, the name probably can't help very much in terms of scoring. I think that the name only helps in terms of getting people to want to join a gym. I'm somewhat puzzled why Kendall didn't try to join a decent gym when she lived in North Carolina - isn't that the birthplace of the original famous Cheer Extreme (with Senior Elite and C4)?

Seriously, I think Evie quitting is why Daniel cried so much. Missing one performance out of many that they have seen is not going to bring a parent to tears.

Pelican - I agree about Brin being maybe the next to quit. Honestly, she seemed more unhappy with cheer than Evie. Only Kapri seems somewhat okay with cheer. I think Sebi was initially all for cheer- but he might be getting discouraged with their team struggling and having to drop out of comps. He's probably feeling a bit of frustration and disappointment - but at the same feeling pressured to soldier on to win his mom's affections.

On a side note- Kendall and Daniel definitely do not look like a couple that experienced any infidelity just a little over a month ago.

You’re right. Back when they were in North Carolina, people in the comments would tell Kendal to bring her kids to Cheer Extreme- Raleigh near their house (one of their 2 best locations) and she would say she wasn’t interested, she was happy with the girls at a Christian rec cheer program. The program was awful, but Kendal didn’t know All Star cheerleading existed at the time and seemed to not want the commitment (and perhaps was afraid to have the kids in a non-Christian based cheerleading program, *gasp*) Now she’s obsessed with it.

I agree that Evie should finish the season. However, she didn’t really start the season because she was injured so the routine was probably built without her and then she just slotted into a spot for the one competition that she did. I’m just happy that Evie could make a decision for herself.
She’s in her final year of school. I hope she’s finishing school.

I don’t get Daniel and Kendal. She hated the man a month ago. Now it seems they can’t get enough of each other. He’s really going overboard. Flowers in the house and in the car!

Kendal saying confident people are quiet and loud people are insecure. She must be really insecure!

I hope the other kids have the confidence to quit cheer when they want. However, unlike Evie who now has a life and friends outside of the cheer world, the other children do not. Evie only got her freedom once she had a car and could drive places. It seems Brinley will get to that stage soon. Then she too can find get a job and find friends outside the cheer bubble.

I don’t think Kap will ever quit but I would find it hilarious if Kendal suddenly found herself with zero kids in cheer. Her entire identity would be gone. What will she obsess over if not cheer? I’d actually love to see it.

I also think EV will try to move out after she “graduates” from high school. And honestly, I hope she does. I don’t think she’s going to college but I would love it for her if she got some independence the same way college freshman do when they move into the dorms. Home girl seems to be wising up to her mothers territorial ways and is showing signs of wanting to break free and I think Brin is not that far behind her.

Also checked the Google reviews on the coral springs restaurant and it seems they’re doing better than the previous manager did. The most recent reviews are pretty good.

The timing of Evie quitting is indeed strange, and she had seemed excited about her team at first. Cheersport is this weekend, it’s the biggest competition they’ll go to all year except for Summit at the end of the season. For a coach, it’s the worst time to have an athlete quit; it’s usually not easy to put in a fill-in so last minute. And Evie’s also finally back from injury— this is the fun part where you actually get to compete instead of sit on the sidelines.

Maybe she just didn’t feel like getting back in competitive shape to get all her tumbling back. And Kendal was of course pressuring her to get her tumbling back, she mentioned it in a vlog at least once, how Evie needed to get her Level 4 skills back. I was also curious about Kendal doing Keto with Evie and making comments about weight. I wonder if that was about trying to get her back in shape for cheer. Yikes.

It’s good Evie at least has a job and something structured to do. Because kids with no extracurricular activities can get themselves into trouble. It’s bad enough to not get any physical activity. At least kids who go to real school get a gym class! Without cheer, the most the Rich kids do for physical activity is walk around Target.

Also based on what Kendals been posting lately about “parenting”, evie and her probably had a blowout fight over quitting cheer. I doubt Kendal was just OK with it but I think it’s good evie quit, she obviously didn’t love it so much

I am happy Evie quit cheer, if that’s what makes her happy. I would have stuck it out this season if it were me, since Evie was named a Varsity ambassador. Too bad she took that from another girl who would be honored.

To a certain extent I agree with you but on the other hand I’m glad Evie had the confidence/courage to stand up to her cheer obsessed mother.
